  1. I would try going to the local parts store and ask for a gas tank hole repair kit i have seen them on the shelves before at my parts store the ones i have seen are some sort of epoxy stuff...... if not i would get a silicone that is made for using on engines put that in the hole then get a plastic epoxy and put that over the silicone and that should work to..... look for stuff that works with petroleum products cause gas works well as a solvent and will eat alot of epoxys that are not petroleum safe... or just buy a new tank
  2. Also as i recall the place where i buy my race fuel from says fuel will hold up to 6-12 months in a plastic container thats sealed with no light exposer and in metal can it should last from 12-18 months with it being sealed and no exposer from light..... so if the fuel is two months old doubt it went bad more than likely oil fuel mix seperated.... when my bike sits for a week or two before i run it i give the bike a a good shaking for before i fire it off
  3. If you let the gas sit for two months in the banshee you run into the oil and fuel seperating and if you had fuel in your carbs i could only assume that it seperated in there and if it were me i would pull fuel bowls off spray it with some carb clean and get some NGk's personal prefrence on those. I have never changed a NGk due fouling just changed cause of it being old, used, or just felt like it needed a fresh plug real good plug if you ask me..... i belive NGK Makes an iridium plug as well it should burn a little hotter... you get what you pay for when you buy plugs
  4. second question to the sleeving? i have noticed that there was big bore sleeves avablible is this possible for the stock cylinders or are they just for big bore cylinders

  7. Has any one ever resleaved there cylinders i have no more room for boring and and its time for fresh cylinders mine are powder coated and ported and was thinkin it would be cheaper to resleeve then by new cylyinders and try to match my powdercoating and another port job... so whats cheaper or is buying better

  11. Looking for the screw clip thing that goes on the plastic fpr the raditor when i took mine off the those two things fell off, have no idea where they went. I went to my local atv shop and asked for them and they looked at me all weird and had no idea what i was talkin about.... so where could i get these... what are they exactly called is there another solution to fix my problem
  12. well if there stock bore and there pitted i would bore them from what i have noticed boring is cheaper then resleaving
  13. I would drain the oil you had a bind with metal to metal i would drain just in case there was any metal flake or any bit of metal that coulda came off in the binding of the gear.... probably wouldn't hurt for an oil change anyways
  14. you should be able to take a caiiper and measure front to back on the top off the cylinder and you should get the cylinder size.... this is how i was showed to measure cylinders on all types off motors.... and a hone with some wd-40 should clean up those cylinders as well.... this could save you some money if you dont want to pay a shop for all this stuff
  15. Is this banshee stock or have mods done too it if it has mods list those that will help us solve the problem but i would defintly check out your carbs
  16. do you have a metal reinforced gasket in there i was told with my mods i should run a metal reinforced gasket cause the non reinforced ones will leak
  17. Sounds like a shift fork could be bent..... bearings in there could be bad but that noise should be rather loud and noticeble from other noises i have seen trannys not shift properly due bad bearings not keeping things in line but more then likely its a shift fork defintly somethin that should be looked at
  18. Drain your oil pull your clutch cover off you will see the bushing on the shaft pull it off and put a new one in there is a big spring in there to pull your kick start back up make sure it goes back on right i put mine on wrong and ended up pullin my back apart its a real simple thing to do i just had mine apart a couple of days ago could had some pics for ya get a new clutch cover gasket as well
