  1. I don't know if my bike can spin those tires.. Too much traction
  2. Hello everyone. I have a set of matte black high temp painted T5's with only a couple dings out of sight on them. They include silencers and the spark arrested hush it. I want to trade them straight across for a set of CPI's with silencers. I can add cash for the right set of CPI's but I don't have much. I don't really mind what they look like as long as there is no visible dents and there is no leaks or holes. I live in Lynnwood, WA and only wanna do local trades (no shipping). I can meet most anywhere that is reasonable for a trade. The pipes won't be coming off the bike till the trade is set and ready to go. Post pics on here or email them to [email protected]. Don't PM me cuz I won't check them please!
  3. For those Extremes are they on Blue labels? Would you do 250 shipped?
  4. I think that's a great setup. Just make sure when you get a cool head you get domes you can still run pump gas with unless you wanna run race gas. Also bump the timing up +4 you can even mod your stock stator so you don't have to buy a timing plate. I love T5's for trails. I ride sand trails at the dunes and they got just enough low end to not stall but a mid-top that will have you clenching your buttcheeks purdy tight! Also go with K&N instead of UNI. As for porting, any of our site sponsors will hook you up right just let them know what pipes you plan on running and what type of riding you're going to do and whatnot. Just pick whoever's closest IMO. Hope this helps. Kyle
  5. Run the Toomeys dude you'll love em. I ride dunes with hillclimbs and trails and I gotta say they're a great all around pipe, awesome midrange with just enough low end to not stall it, and amazing top end to pull through those hillclimbs in the sand. For you riding coal hills and what not I would say they're awesome for that type of riding and they work well on trails also. Hope that helps! Also you won't feel as bad if you scratch the Toomeys cuz you can just repaint em (that's what I do to mine too) instead of getting pissed if the chrome starts flaking off on the Fatties.
  6. I run 330's and 27.5's at the middle clip in mine at 40:1 with T5's, K&N pods, and VF2 reeds. I know it's like 1 or 2 sizes rich but it runs like a champ and I can't feel it hitting a wall from being too rich I know the pods flow more than that 2:1 filter but yours is ported so you're probably about right. I didn't have to mess with anything but the mains and pilot so you shouldn't either. I ride at sea level when it's about 50-70 at all times so ours is just about the same.
  7. People say Keihin are the way to go mostly for ease of tuning but I personally prefer mikuni. I run stock carbs right now but if I upgrade I'm going with a larger set of mikuni carbs.
  8. Klotz supertechniplate baby! Smells like pears and cough syrup
  9. I only ride dunes but I have ridden trails a few times and I say trails takes much more skill. There are trails on the dunes I ride too but I have also ridden dirt trails. The only skills you need to ride dunes are watching out for all the drunk assholes who aren't paying attention really, and both require fast reaction time.
  10. I use the super tech atf-f.. i'm pretty sure it's a walmart brand and it's only like $2.50 per quart. I just change it after every trip to the dunes but that's 3-4 days of nonstop riding hard so less often if you ride trails for a day at a time.
  11. My rear vent came out once when I had my bike on the grab bar washing the underside so it spilled all the tranny oil everywhere lol. It's such a pain to get the thing back in because there is no way to get a good grip on it to force it down in there cuz of the motor mount.
  12. I disagree.. I think the T5's are also a mid-top but they have a little more midrange than the CPI's and lack a little on top compared to them.
  13. I agree, take it apart dude. It only takes a few minutes and it would really suck if you bent a rod trying to kick it or messed up one of the edges on an exhaust port or something.
  14. I don't personally run the kit but I asked them about it.. They claim smoother power delivery rather than the lightswitch power you feel when you get on the pipes. I'm not too sure if it's true or if it's worth it but that's my opinion.
  15. I just went and checked and it all seems pretty solid
  16. Unfortunately I can't afford it so I went with the ghetto alternative of filing down the grooves to make em a little smoother lol. I didn't have any problems with the plates snagging on the grooves before so I should be in the clear for a while longer..
  17. No problems with the clutch not engaging fully, I noticed the deep grooving and I smoothed it out with a file so I wouldn't encounter any problems. Also no I didn't grease the bearing I figured it would get oiled pretty well. Thanks for everything guys!
  18. Alright thanks a lot! This thing has been giving me hell all week with the factory adjuster and it stripped out so i ordered this one from cascade and it took only minutes
  19. Thanks! I installed it and got it adjusted and everything seems correct, but I took pics just to get some feedback and make sure. Sorry about the crappy cell phone pics!
  20. Hey guys, I have a Cascade pancake bearing for my clutch and I was wondering exactly how to install it? Does the jam nut go on the outside of the pressure plate? Also is there supposed to be a washer behind it? The pancake bearing itself is a 3 piece setup with 2 washers and the bearing itself. Can anyone shed some light on how this is done? pics would be even better, thanks!
  21. Pros are you don't have to mess with an on/off switch for the bike itself or the headlights. Cons are you don't have a headlight unless you wire it to be on 100% of the time, how to would be in the electrical FAQ stickied in the mods & repairs section.
  22. I love it! I wanna see bigger pictures especially with that grill you're getting!
  23. I run Super Tech (wal mart brand) ATF type-f in my 'Shee, 1.6 quarts. It says it on the case behind the kickstart lever: 1600c = 1.6 quarts.
  24. It only takes a couple minutes to check the reeds so I would pull it off and take a peek at it. I am in the same boat as you with the boost bottle it ripped my intake boot really bad but I couldn't afford to replace it so I sealed it up with gorilla glue and when it dried I covered it with high temperature silicone for moisture protection. It has worked just fine since last April and I've been riding it a lot at the dunes.
