Did I not give you enough information? Are you sure you can install such a complex item? Part numbers (I don't own 28 PWKS so this is all from a 5 minute search) K&N straight-RA-0520 K&N straight-RA-0510 K&N straight-RU-0520 K&N 10* angle-RU-1060 K&N 10* angle-RU-1070 There are plenty more that will work from K&N and a pile more from other companies. If you still can't figure it out you should probably leave it alone.

Sold some in way better shape for $325. Market sucks, lol. But hey, I buy tons of shit from other people for cheap so I can't complain.

Is a simple spacer plate would work?
gotta_goatsfast replied to marcboy62's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Why waste your time for a marginal performance increase? Save your money until you can fund to do it the right way. Look, you've already got the crank. You still need pistons and a bore/hone of your cylinders. Might as well wait to do it all until you can come up with another $300 or so for port work, too. Spacer plates between the case and jugs are prone to leaking. In a 4 stroke you get an oil drip. In a 2 stroke you get a fatal air leak that will ruin your riding season if you can't afford to rebuild it again. By the way, how much is a spacer plate? I bet you can find a used cool head on here for a similar price as it would cost you for the plate, two gaskets, and longer studs. All you'd need to do is pick up some 4 mill domes. Option 2:You sell the 4mil crank and that will fund your port work. You can mill the stock head for cheap if you desire more compression. You're still going to have to buy pistons and pay for a bore/hone. And yes, you really should have that crank welded.... but you won't need a spacer plate so the money you would have spent on that will cover the crank true/weld. There will be a LOT more power on tap with this vs. a stroked stock port banshee. -

You can pick up a 58mm stroke crank with a 110mm rod and use a 513 style piston. As far as I know there is no such thing as a spacer for your head. Not trying to be a dick here!... but why do you want to run a stroker crank anyway? Do you plan on having it ported to the new stroke? You absolutly should run a quality piston. When you increase the stroke you effectively increase the piston speed. A stock cast piston would be begging for mercy. Building a banshee dollar per dollar is way cheaper than building a 4 stroke to make the same numbers... but it still requires money. Don't be cheap about it or you will set yourself up for disappointment or disaster (stock pistons, spacer plates...) Post up any and all engine mods you have right now. Have your stock crank trued/welded. Have your jugs ported by a sponsor here on BHQ, and pick up a top end rebuild kit and you will run circles around a stock port 4mil. -
Be patient and you'll find some elkas, ohlins, works, peps, axis, ect... used here on BHQ in the for sale section. I would post up in the wanted section that you are looking for some aftermarket shocks. I got my shocks for a third of the price of new.

Go pick up a pair of 27.5 pilots.

Really.... are you that lazy? Search the internet. Search/call site sponsors. Check out rockymountainatv.com, denniskirk.com, RJATV.com, ect. If you would have measured the "mouth" of your carburetors you would know that the filter flange needs to be 50mm in diameter. You might also consider a filter with a 5 or 10 degree turn down. So, get searching! Also, if you ride in dusty conditions religiously clean/oil the filter. Or consider a good foam filter. IMO, if you can see direct light through it dust particles will get through it. lol

Do R2 pipes interfere with oversized gas tank?
gotta_goatsfast replied to gotta_goatsfast's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I lied to you all. Its the Clarke 5.5 tank (the tank with radiator vents molded into it). But, I'm here to report my findings. First off, the 421 Serval has successfully been transplanted into the bike with goodies like straight cut gears, lock up clutch/lexan cover, chariot bearing support stator cover, ect... I have to say, the pipes fit AWESOME. I machined 3/8" spacers to tuck behind the pipe mount to bring the pipes out a tad farther. When I dropped the tank on I was relieved that it did not hit the pipes. However, there is only 7/16" area between the closest part of the pipes and the gas tank. For this, I believe I'll use a little of this on the tank. Heat Shield -

What ever it is its HUGE -
I'd run a serval top end. Why? -Your cylinders cannot be worked anymore. If you can get away with a hone, then you can physically port them. But thats a lot of money to spend on cylinders that will need to eventually be refreshened. Since you cannot bore it anymore, the only option is to sleeve them. A machinist will have to bore the old sleeve out and press in the new one. Then that sleeve will need to be massaged around the ports to match the current port job. -You can purchase another set of stock cylinders and have them ported. For the price of another set of cylinders+piston kit+porting you will most likely be cheaper than the above option (after resleeving) -BUT, for a similar price to option two, you can upgrade to a cylinder with a whole bunch of modern technology that cannot be found in stock or ported stock cylinders. Call Jeff at Fast or Andy at M&M ATV and they will give you all you need to know about the Servals.

Nice. I'm an electricain and a few months ago I recieved a check for $8500 because of white page laws (government paid jobs have set wages that were larger than our union based wages) so that would be the only way I could afford my 4mil serval. Good luck with your build.... but its already well into February. Better get goin! lol

Do R2 pipes interfere with oversized gas tank?
gotta_goatsfast replied to gotta_goatsfast's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I'm just waitin on motor mounts from JD and I'll put the serval back in its crib. I think I can make it work with a little shimming and possibly strategic placed high temp barrier. -
I'm not a big fan of the purples and pinks, but of the four I like the purple with the crazy amount of colored shimmer. What about that same deep purple color with only blue metal flakes?

but, but, I just bought it last year. lol, we'll see. If I can make it fit I'll be happy. If I can't, hopefully I can sell it to recoup some of the cost. ...and are there any companies that still produce the six pack rack? I would need the rack, a stock tank, stock blue plastics.... wait, I'd probably just run full bores. -

It could be 3 or more hours of hard riding before I have access to fuel. Otherwise its a LONG walk. lol -

gotta_goatsfast replied to gotta_goatsfast's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Hmmm, I'll have to get creative. I'm not sure how long a stock tank will get me on a 421 serval with 35s. lol, thanks for the input. I'll post up at a later date when the motor and pipes are in. -

How bad? I should have my pipes here in a few days. I figure I will shim them and all until it fits to my liking. -
who dose the best porting on stock cylinders
gotta_goatsfast replied to kwikman's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Start contacting our site sponsors. Each sponsor is extremely talented with banshee cylinders. -
That would be your original banshee clutch. Any aftermarket clutch setup will not use the "cushions".

Switching back to dual carbs
gotta_goatsfast replied to Irishchris's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Two 35mm carbs are way to much for what you have. You might want to look into 28mm PWKs or just jet the carburetor you have now. If it is rich, then lean out the main jet some. Also, do yourself a favor and get rid of that boost bottle. -
Its cheap to just purchase one. But, you can round off the edges of the star with a mill.
