it's pretty much a no brainer either take the 1500 or go for the warrior. like you said your gf doesn't know how to ride, put her on a warrior to learn and she'll be set. it's a good learning bike, it will be easier for her to learn on, as it's prob. got more torque and won't stall as easy as a blaster will, also if she winds the blaster out in first gear that's not real good for it, a warrior it isn't gonna hurt. warriors are entry level bikes, but so are blasters. however like i said, the warrior is just a better all around bike. i went up in the mountains in kentucky, didn't change jetting and blew my top end 2 weeks ago. and was riding on rocks and shit it was a really rough ride for the r and since it was new trails and really rocky, there wasn't really much room to wind it out to cool it "however it's water cooled" i kinda wish i would have had a warrior up there it would ahve been more fun and i wouldn't have blown a top end.

the op has a blaster and he wants to trade it for a warrior the dude doesn't want his son on the warrior he said it had too much power and wants him on a blaster. in my opinion depends on what your style of riding is i'd get the warrior they are both worth about the same amount of money, the warrior is a 4 stroke and can be riden just about anywhere and i think it's more dependable than a blaster "my opinion" everyone has one. i've had both.. ive actually had a shit load of atv's before if you want cash and someone will give you 1500 sell it for the 1500 that's a good deal. msrp in 99 on a blaster was 1499 bucks new or 1999 i can't remember it's been to long ago. the warrior is something you can just kinda keep and always go start up and ride. not real powerful but something you can still have fun on, it's also quieter than a blaster. and more friendly ive owned a warrior, 2 350x3 wheelers a 250r 3 wheeler, a 240r 4 wheeler, 3 banshees, a bombardier ds 650 a blaster a 300ex a polariz trailblazer 250, a z400 and road a 400ex, ive only seen 1 of the 450s run and that was about a year ago. they weren't out yet back when i was into riding i got a 250r about a year and a half ago, had it out twice, and got a banshee about 4 months ago and had it out twice. so i have a idea of how 4 wheelers handle/etc.. at least the older stuff. i had a yz400f dirtbike and liked it a lot, and a couple other dirtbikes, but i'm not getting into that. i'd go for the warrior or 1500 in my opinion. you can't go wrong. there not "great quads" but there dependable heres a video of me messing around on a warrior back in 2000 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_pvpvAq824

he likes to waste peoples time, thats for sure. i stuck up for him in another thread, he opened my for sale thread and pm'd me prob. 10 emails on a box of jets i had for sale, for him the price was a bit expensive cause he wanted them shipped to canada. but i told him price up front, he kept pming me wanting to know if the jets were in pairs, "what jets were in the kit" even though the picture showed i went through the kit and typed every jet size to him, he said he was on vacation and he would buy it, asked for my paypal, still no deposit. and no more pm's, i think he just wanted to waste my time.

make sure your tank is clean, i took mine out tonight and it ran good for a couple runs up the track then started running like shit, i unplugged fuel line, no fuel blew through line got fuel flow, half way up track, same thing again. happend 3 times, came home pulled gas tank off, and it look like baffle packing material around the bottom of the reserve pickup for the petcock. it was causing it to run lean under wot

1/8 mile my best was like a 9.2 at 72mph i ran that with good jetting, reeds, stock cages, t5 pipes pods stock carbs and a unmilled head oh and the clutch was slipping a little. now i have dropped the front sprocket 1 tooth. have ported cylinders mx hardcore port, 34mm carbs pods, t5's milled stock head. stock cage same reeds and 34mm carbs. new clutch however it did feel like it had a little more torque like it wanted to lift the wheels up easier than before. but after a few runs it started running shittier, "leaning out" pulled fuel line off and nothing coming out of tank but i had gas in tank, i got home pulled the tank off and the petcock had look like packing material around the reserve filter on the petcock i cleaned the tank and have it back together but i can't ride it around where i live... rite now i'm running 148 mains, dunno about pilots whatever were in it already. what do you guys think? i should have a boss intake and new v force 3 reeds in the mail they should be here in a week in an a half it doesn't sound like it's winding out up top much could this be the port? even when it leaned out and ran shittier it didn't pick up. it got worse. also, do you think 2 or 3 runs in the 1/8 was enough to do any damage to pistons when it leaned out? and do you think my time will pick up any with the larger sprockets?

i vote airleak or that pistons carbs main jet was clogged some or something.... that looks nasty....... i don't understand how it continued to run like that.. unless you were riding it around on one cylinder. now that i think about it, is there any chance you plugged the plug wire into the opposite side this time and it blew out that piston? if so, maybe your stator or coil is bad?

i'm about 100 percent possitive the ds will win. all shit talking asside. i'm pretty sure, ive had both riden both and currently own a banshee the ds's are turds anywhere but the street but on the street they will pull a lightly modd'd banshee. the banshee i raced on my ds had fmf pipes, carbs and cool head. dunno if it had anything else and i beat the crap out of him with the bombardier, and when i say beat the crap out of him i mean really bad, by like 5 cars or so in the 1/8 i looked back and he was wayyyy back there. and we were both good riders, everyone bragged about how good he was and everyone bragged about how good i was. i currently own a banshee and a 250r i wouldn't suggest a bombardier, mine i wrecked on jumps because the jumps were too narrow and the bombardier was too wide, i bent the axle because it was too heavy, and in the sand from a dead stop with factory tires they barely wanna take off, they almost wanna just spend down and sit on the swingarm.. but on the road that bombardier is gonna win. i promise.
