Is it possible to put a winch on a Banshee?
FrankieSquid replied to ninjamaster's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
A winch on a banshee?? Banshees never get stuck. Well if you do its good to ride with a friend who has one, lol. A 4x4 would suit you better like savage said. Personally i dont run my shee where it gets stuck and if i do i get my ass up and move it around. On top of that the electrical conversion you have to do to make that sucker run, and can be pretty pricey with the upgraded stator you will need and other parts. -
what are some good websites for banshee mods/parts

LMAO Props to you brother that shit was funny. -
I hate brakes personally. I had to bleed mine two weeks back. But my brakes were the front. I used the ones specified i think it's dot 4 and 3. I used a synthetic dot 4 brake fluid. I don't know for the back if you need a brake bleeding tool but the one i bought worked flawless and took care of the brake bleeding in like 5 minutes, normally i was trying to gravity bleed them and many other useless methods took forever and it couldnt keep pressure for shit. On mine i had air bubbles in my master C. Im sure this info can be relevant to some extent i hope this helps.

What's up Braker. Welcome to HQ. Well taking a comp tester is the best idea, when checking compression it will let you know how healthy the motor is. Take your time and eventually you will end up with the right bike for the best buck. When checking compression you can take one plug out at a time if you want. and YES throttle has to be wide open when you do this procedure. Things to look for is any leaks, how a engine sounds at idle, any cracks or bends in the frame, Check the ball joint, steering make sure it's smooth without any blown out ball joints and make sure there is no grinds. Check the shocks make sure theres good compression of the springs. Stock shocks on a shee suck anyway but something to look for. On the shee with a cool head, if they say it has domes for better compression it has to be a compression higher than those with out cool head. So i would reccomend in checking those with original heads to get a base line. Your right on that though, anything under 100psi will need a new top end. Depending on your elevation the compression test results may vary. But anything over 115 or 120 is acceptable. Im running 120 on stock head and runs like a top. Don't make a impulsive buy, be smart look for the smallest thing such as a crack in the frame. Ask a lot of questions, and see how the owner replies to your questions. I hope this helps

The 12t Front sprocket?? that may be a little tight for the chain to wrap around. I think you should be good with a 13t, you can also mess with the rear sprocket for more of gear tuning.

Met him once, great guy to talk to.

LOL ^^^^^ You all are right, this thread will give them more of an effort to start bashing on all of you. I heard about the breast cancer comment, that is fucked up talking about someone's mom who has had breast cancer, there is just some things you don't talk shit about. If people get teary eyed about a comment like that and want that bastard banned then like loco has said before, everyone else would want to get other people banned for smart remarks, favoritism can't do that shit. I let little pricks like that just slide, that's all they can do is talk shit and get under people's skin. But i do agree if this dumb ass already got banned for talking shit to other members on here then gets back and talks some more, something should be done. These are kids who just like to bash on other people. Ignore em!

I was out riding with a few friends, hitting up some trails and jumps. i saw about 15ft tabletop jump i wanted to hit. The first time around i jumped it smooth with no issues, then second time around i approached it at a faster speed like around 4th gear or so. Then as soon as i hit the jump i knew i was in some shit. Too much rebound from the rear shock, Banshee threw me up and i had good footing on the shee but when i landed my right foot slipped off (nerf bars is a good idea about now) and then i tried to jump off but the shee over turned and flipped landing on my head then i just went along for the ride. Damage was a few fucked up scrapes on my leg back arm shoulder and a swollen ass thumb. Most of all a fucked up ego. Helmet had some deep scratches but hard to see from pics. Just a few pics i like to share guys.

banshee is got hard steering
FrankieSquid replied to ELKARACING_SHEE's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Some push up's would help, gotta build that chest muscle bro. I would check all moving parts on the steering and make sure theres not something binding or a messed up bearing somewhere. Also geometry of your front tires has some to do with it as well. Check you front tire's PSI. -
LMAO You just said i like your ass light. Quit using those spanish translations on google. LOL. j/k

Planning my next mod. Opinions needed..
FrankieSquid replied to bansheenyc77's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
.30 is good to shave. timing plate is cheap and gives good throttle response. I would add reeds after the shaved head and timing plate -
UGH that was the theme i was planning to turn my shee into. I like that look a lot, "the new chrome" is damn right. LOL. I think they came out really good, looks awesome bro. What's the prep process you went through?? let us know how that holds up.

Honestly your mistake was letting someone else work on your bike. I never let anyone one else touch my carbs or mess with my jetting. With all the info that's on this site here, you can easily do the work yourself and most importantly pay attention to detail. Carbs are really easy to work on but you can really easily screw them up. Like mentioned before do one carb at a time take your time and again don't let anyone else touch your bike unless they know exactly what they are doing.

Time to upgrade. Hit up Alfie or Brandon at MULL engineering to name a few. Site sponsors have great prices on shit like that.
-
When i replaced all my bearings and seals that happen to me. You will have to use some "persuasion" with a rubber mallet.
-
X2 Looks like your running on the lean side. I live in 2500 above sea level and temps reach around 100+ i jetted my shit to be around 310-320 and she runs great. Jet a few sizes richer and then do a plug chop (Theres a how to on here somewhere). Takes time and patience to get it tuned right but better to be on the rich side than lean.

Can you be a little more specific on what kind of oil?? I use the Type F tranny oil. Works very well and cheap. About $3 a quart.
