  1. Got to be the builders fault. According to Loco, they are the know it alls, and get big bux to do this shit so someone can swing from their nuts. That is unless operator error comes into play
  2. Might be lean due to air leak
  3. Might as well make sure carbs are pussy clean while they're off. On my son's I had to clean the poles on the stator, lugs on flywheel, and set pic-up gap to cure a one sided misfire.
  4. What do you have on it so far?
  5. So basically you want to make like a Super Sized Serval? So these long stroke motors won't hold up to long continues use such as 10+ lap flat track race? As you have stated builders have built motors for flat track that don't live up to expectations? Wise choice to maybe not to totally trust them for an answer as they may just want to sell a job, and if it doesn't work as "expected", they'll say "That's what you told us to do" . Maybe best to contact CP directly to see what they say, jmho.
  6. And I thought lawn tractor races were goofy
  7. Reminds me of the Johnny Cash song about stealing a car one piece at a time. "It's a 49, 50, 51, 52 automobile" "It's got three headlights, two on the left, one on the right." Maybe he does that so his mental midget employees can just throw anything in the box and ship it
  8. You're a lying sack. Last thing you're going do is build an engine and let it sit.
  9. I don't know Spanish, but it made more sense than the English version
  10. Real cute cock biter, hope it helps you trade
  11. Thing is though, how many of these Wonder Wang cranks have failed?
  12. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/14/71/995/4905/ITEM/Motion-Pro-Degree-Wheel.aspx?SiteID=Google_PLA995&WT.mc_ID=10012&esvt=0-GOUSC&esvadt=9-0-3886819-1&esvaid=30548&kw={keyword}&gclid=CI-136_di7UCFawWMgodAA8Asw Need one of these too ^^^ Don't know if you will find much using search, might have to manually scroll thru threads. But look for any exhaust and transfer port timings and start working towards those numbers. You are lucky because you have a set of ported cyls to see what a "Pro" port job looks like. Maybe throw the degree wheel on it and see what it's timings are. Remember you can always take more out, but you can't put it back. You mentioned big bore cyls, are they stock jugs sleeved or A.M.?
  13. BTW, welcome to BHQ. It's crankshaft, connecting rod, piston.
  14. Translation? : Does this mean I have a long rod crank? Or possibly a stroker? I haven't given much info to guess at. Compare old piston to new. Is the pin hole in same location? Do you have a cool head with stroker domes? Or did you have a head gasket about 2mm thick? Did the old piston stick out similar height?
  15. Also make sure carbs are synced @ throttle cables, opening at same time. might have to play with air screw a touch. Allow 10 seconds or so for engine to "adjust" to new setting before trying more.
  16. stock is 54mm stroke
  17. See: ccspecialtytool.com, can't copy and paste for some reason, sorry
  18. Not to be a wise dick like some/most, but now you need to educate yourself. There are programs available as to porting, etc., and old fashioned text to read through, this ain't rocket science here . Hardest part is getting both cyls the same. Now with that said, if you plan on being ultra competitive you will be behind the builders who have ported before AND have made mistakes and learned from them, weather or not they will admit to ever fucking up . You also have to consider cost of your equipment to get started, and the time to do it. Hell, they won't admit to selling junk cranks that destroy engines, go figure
  19. Wether A or J if you hit something the stock arms will probably bend. If you have A.M. arms something else will bend if you hit something.
  20. As you can see there's kind of a hole in the center. Slide that over the tube. I packed my son's with 6 or 7 each can.
  21. There is also this neet thing called Craigs List
  22. Y'all better watch how you talk about Mich, we ain't Canada's Mexico for no reason.
  23. None of this was aimed at anyone in particular, especially to O P, if it doesn't run the way you want, change it up, buy a 4mil, whatever. Maybe get a measurement from top of cyl to top of ex, contact a builder and ask their opinion of how it might run. Didn't see any flamers when someone talks about decking a 7mil cyl to run with a 4mil crank, and that's not much different than my son's set-up.
  24. What the fuck? Slap the bitch together and run it if you have the right pistons for your rod length. My son's is an unported 4mil and has gobs of torque, is it the fastest? Well fuck no you asshole! Does HE like it? Yes, and that's all that fucking matters. JMHO, Your results may, and will vary. And I don't give a fuck either way
  25. X-2 on stainless pot scrubbers. Will never burn out, can burn gook out if needed, 3/$1 @ dollar store, takes about 6 to do a can. Did I mention they sound great?
