  1. I do appreciate the explanation. However, I will still be reluctant to purchase one of your products due to the service I recieved after the sale. Ultimately, at the end of the day, I lost $150 at the expense of your company learning that this product did not work on all aplications. The truth is every company has products that do not work as designed every time, and every company makes mistakes. The difference is how a company deals with the problem, and in my case, I just fealt ripped off.
  2. I had similar issues. I put together my 4mill Cheetah using a new 200w Ricky Stator. I chased a miss on only one side for months (thinking there was no way it could ba stator causing only one side to act up), and eventually replaced the Ricky with an OEM. I did not make any other changes at that time, and instantly the problem went away. It has been years now, and no issues. I think I still have the thing, but could never feel comfortable using it. I also called and talked to somebody at your shop, and hung up feeling like I might as well have thrown $150 in the garbage. I do not remember specifically what was said, as it has been years, but I remember that I was not impressed with the customer service that I recieved. On a good note, I purchased a set of SS tie rods, and they were great. I am all for a company trying to improve, and would not say that I would never be a customer again, but I think you have a lot of damage control to do, if you are to regain the trust of many Banshee owners that I know. Good luck!
  3. Lean was my original thought also, but as i browse through what others have for jetting with similar setups, my pilots at 58's seem to be high. Honestly, jetting is my weakest skill when it comes to tuning (and unfortunately probably the most important skill to have). I will fatten up this weekend, as see how it reacts.
  4. Thanks for the ideas. I will start with the CDI. I had a Dyna previously, but I forgot about the need for resistor plugs.
  5. Sorry, I guess I need to update my sig. 4mill Cheetah PV, custom domes by Titan Racing, V3 Reeds, 35mm PWK's, Lock up, dunable overide, 110 VP, Redline Oil.
  6. I am looking for a little help. I pulled my bike apart last year to powdercoat and polish everything. When I took the motor out, it ran great. I have just re-assembled the bike, and the only changes I made were switching from Stage IV pipes and stock CDI, to CPI in frames, and a Dyna. I bumped the main up from 152 to 155 (35PWK's) and left the needle and pilot where they were. I can not recall the needle position, but the pilot's are 58. It fired up on the third kick, and ran fine while warming up. Once warm it idles smooth for about 10 seconds, then drops down and runs rough for about 10 seconds, then back up to a smooth idle. If I let the bike sit, it will continue to do this. The timing of the up and down is consistant. Throttle response is fairly crisp (just running in the garage), but it does hang up for a few seconds after revving, before it settles down. I know that is typically a sign of lean, but I have not experienced the surging before. My thought was a float out of adjustment, but I checked them both, and they appear to be on the money. Any thoughts?
  7. I appreciate the response guys! This puts my mind to rest. I must have been given bad info (fortunately)....thanks again.
  8. Hey guys, it has been awhile since I have spent much time here (other hobbies have taken over), but I was hoping someone may be able to provide some info. We are heading to Glamis Saturday for 2 weeks, and I am trying to figure out where to get race gas. I have heard that you can not purchase 110 in CA anymore unless heading to a sanctioned race. I have also heard of the rangers grabbing your race gas as you enter the dunes. Anyone have any first hand experience, or know where to purchase it down there? In the past I would just bring down a few cans for my bike, but I am now running a turbo'ed sand rail in addition to the Banshee, so gas will go fast. Any info you can share is appreciated...thanks.
  9. Hey guys, for what it is worth, I just recieved a set of these and they are great! Easy guy to deal with, shippped as promissed, good price for the quality, and the welds....well the pictures speak for themselves.
  10. I am swapping the +4 to a +8. I ordered a 120 link chain, but after doing a search on here, it looks like it will be too short. Can someone tell me how many links I will need, and where to get it? 120 seemed to be the longest available from the "wherehouse shops" (rocky mountain, motosports, etc). Thanks
  11. Small problem that maybe someone else has experienced.... Runs strong, starts first kick. It will idle at a given rpm for about 15 seconds, then the idle slowly drops. It will stay at that idle for about 15 seconds, and then idle back up. It will go through this cycle for as long as i let it idle. When I first let it idle down, it has always been just a bit high, and afetr a few seconds it settles donw to normal idle. The going up and down is new. Any thoughts?
