  2. Boy, you've left yourself open for a lot of comebacks, lol. Either buy a Clymers Repair Manual or find the download on here. Could be bad kill or key switch. Have you even checked for broken wires in harness? Did this run and stop? Or is it new to you POS ? BTW, welcome to BHQ. Grow some thick skin, you're going to need it, lol.
  3. Rule #2,don't apologize unless necessary. Swap plug wires? Will indicate bad plug cap. Using Banshee flywheel puller (no jaws) check flywheel and Stator poles for rust. Clean timing nubs on Fwheel .Set pickup gap @ .018 (IIRC) Sand nub if one exceptionaly high. Tripple check carbs. Especially mainjet/emulsion tube side holes. Buy Clymers Repair Manual !!!!! Report back. Search/ read "One cyl missfire" threads for more ideas.
  4. In addition to the seal, they can leak between the keyway and crank. Short of it developing a leak between case halves, Now, as to your time spent............... Don't give up your daytime job. First thing you learn around here is grow thick skin.
  5. Are they genuine Mikuni jets? Have you done a plug chop/read? What temps/elevation? If a person has lack of experience in jetting it's safer to go richer first.

  16. Leakdown is similar, but different, lol Basically plug intake and ex, pressurize to 6/7 psi, must (should) hold for 7 min. Tho you may have adjusted floats correctly, you make it sound like you reffed the shit out of float tang. With 1.5 mm range and thin brass tang, no room for gorrilas here.
  17. Really should do a leak test after assembly and before startup. Pulling choke told you that you are lean, but you didn't listen.
  18. I think Gravel ment AFR not oil ratio. Have you done a plug chop or plug reading?
  19. So you somehow got it running without even cleaning the carbs. I know this because a sharp fucker would have noted the jetting specs. White smoke indicates need for leak down test.

  21. Must have had more done than a rebuild if it needs jetting. Do a leak test? What carb? It clean, float set? What does the plug chop/read look like?

  24. Any dyno numbers? What kind of head? How much I save if pick up, in Lapeer. 4 mil long rod?
  25. Stir the pot. 28:1 here, mild mods, oil is cheap, parts aren't. JMHO, your results may, and will vary. And IDGAF. Stick with B8.
