  1. If float level doesn't do it try new float needle valve and seat. In fact look at them real close when you check the float level.
  2. What's up with two simular threads in two sections? Think you'll get better answers in one? WTF?
  3. How much do you want us to help you spend with in the begining? Start reading what others are running as to set-ups to get an idea. Speed is only limited by cubic dollars.

  5. I would go with the more precise setting for pick up and make sure lugs on flywheel are clean. You could try no lid, if it gets better your rich , or tey pulling choke half way with lid and if better = lean. If neither it's possibly elec , plugs, caps, coil , grounds.Any possibility of being more descriptive as to what it's doing< Flat or burbeling?
  6. Sounds like a good project. As to taking it to a shop, don't do it. Will cost more than it's worth. The mechanics name is Ben Dover. First thing I would do is pull left engine cover and try to turn crank by flywheel. Could be something else locked up, such as kicker idle gear. Get a Clymers repair manual and if you can twist a wrench you're good to go! BTW, welcome to BHQ, and your new addiction. Don't worry, we're here to help you with it. There is no known cure.
  7. What kind of pistons are they? Were the windows on pistons modified? Who assembled the motor? what was the squish? Where did the domes come from? Was this fresh bore?
  8. Looking great. Is that new plastic or pearl paint? If you're "done" you'll be the first
  9. This is what site sponsers are for http://www.stellarmachineandperformance.com/J_Arms.htm
  10. Be sure to loctite screws
  11. That's a good idea cam, putting 2 or 3 extra jamb nuts on there !! 27, is that technicolor yawn what it looked like? Great transformation if it was . Sounds like a good deal on those parts.
  12. Presume you have arms set up for longer shocks? Snatch up that rear, seems the link alone is 5-600. As to the fronts, I have no knowledge
  13. Well fuck me running and call the forum police, or call someone that gives a fuck. Called Vito's this morning and the installation procedure is to use Y-bond or 3-bond on both surfaces, install, torque nuts. One thing that I didn't add last night was that the cooling system was still under pressure a week after it was last ridden. Also no evidence of coolant in cyl while running, just seepage outside. It's a shame some were cofused by the title
  14. Wouldn't have a clue. I'm only stateing exactly what I did and it cleared up a one sided miss. JMHO, your results may, and will, vary.
  15. Best answer ever to this age old question. Welcome to BHQ !! Few questions for you. What type of riding areyou going to do? What is currently done to it? How much of your money do you want us to help you blow for your first "FIX" of your new addiction?
  16. PM CAMATV, he'll set you straight
  17. On my son's I pulled flywheel, cleaned any rust off stator pole , inside of wheel, and lugs on outside, then set pick-up gap. Also ohm caps and make sure wire is tite. Maybe trim wire 1/4 for new clean connection.
  18. Check electrical connections for corrosion and loosness, add die-electric grease while apart. Check grounds same. Ohm plug caps, maybe trim wire a little, make sure wire is tite. New plugs.
  19. guess I should have mentioned that it does have 4mil crank.
  20. This is what I have, except for standard bore http://www.vitosperformance.com/atv_parts/product.php?productid=479&cat=200&page=1 . If anyone has used simular, I would appreciate any installation tips you may have. I may have been lazy or inattentive when I had motor down, gasket was stuck to head so I left it for fear of fuggin it up. Well sure as shit it was leaking . In the process of cleaning it pussy clean right now, so I'll check back in a bit. Thanks
  21. It also depends on elevation. If you are 5000+ you'll be allright. Awful lot of timing for constant running, might back it off to +4.
  22. With that setup I hope you plan on running race fuel. If you run pump gas you're gonna blow it up
  23. OOPS. From what I've seen it's more common on all out race engine. It depends on the extent of mod and how hard you run it. Can result in craked/broken skirt over time.
  24. The difference in bowls is the circut for choke. It won't spill fuel, your choke won't work !! If carbs are really bad get a 1gal bucket of Breeymans. Has a little strainer for parts in it, sweet!! Remove any plastic or rubber first.
