  1. My son's were about that bad maybe worse and I filed it down. Nice smooth file keeping the angle right. Works fine. Might not be ideal for a 80 horse monster, but they're probably not using stock. JMHO, your results may, and will vary.
  2. But the manual has specifications. I would bet it has a bent or twisted rod, or bad bearing, or major air leak. , seperated crank. I think it's CAMATV has it in his sig " If you only replace the broken parts, did you really fix it?" Maybe post pics, someone might have a clue.
  3. any time you increase air flow in or out you increase jet size. Don't recall what's needed for filter and lid, but would think more 230 range especially if it's getting colder where you are. There is a thread that's stickyed "What jets you running" , look thru that see if you can find simular set-up

    PE-1's

ya , just below clip grooves, not easy to see, harder to read.
  5. Did you install new seats also? If not try cleaning the seats with tooth paste on a Q-tip then clean that out. Got that tip from another forum and can't beleive the amount of crap that comes out. Did you set float level?

    PE-1's

get a magnifying glass and look closer, no shit
  7. Before and after pics would be even better
  8. Try leaning needle, and see if they're stock needles. If they aren't stock, might try stock needles.
  9. Can't spoil a rotten egg, won't hurt to try. I would start at center and work out, taking real small cuts. Then order a new one. If you still have parking brake get rid of it. Must be hella language barrier, I tried to PM him back at the begining of his build/porting and it wouldn't go through . Probably more to do with politic/idology, fuck the governments, et al .
  10. Just unscrew the 12mm "nut" right under knob and jently pull it out. Use a couple Q-tips to give the seat a swirlie, look at the bottom closely, and I think there's an O-ring on the shaft.
  11. I had the same problem when I did the idle screws, didn't take enough off the body. Do you have nuts or springs on the screws? Choke plunger has a flat washer type thing on the bottom.
  12. HEY, Welcome Going to need more info on your set-up. PT mid or hi? Any porting? Air box lid on or not? Have you dissasembled carbs for cleaning? Set float height? Would really help to know pilot and main jet, needle and clip posistion, turns on air screw.
  13. Linc worked for me. If anyone can fuck up a computer it's me
  14. Banshee and spend money ALWAYS go in the same sentence, just how it is Puller is only $20, if you can't afford that better go back to a schwinn
  15. Might be leaking just enough to make that side run little rich. As to main jet 270 sounds lean for this time of year, sure ain't warm here north of Detroit.
  16. brass washer and slosh baffle under main jet? Float level good? Check choke plunger as seat , I'll bet it's either worn/cracked or dirty.
  17. The screw and locknut in the center of the clutch is how you adjust to align marks. Run adjuster on clutch handle all the way in before adjusting for marker. Then adjust lever till you have slight amount of pull before it starts to pull cable.
  18. How does it run otherwise, up through gears, cruising? List ALL your jets and settings. Type of carb. Have you comepletely diss asembled and cleaned carbs? Set float levels? In spect choke plunger. Have you done a leakdown test?
  19. What plugs you running? Left or right cylinder fouling? What carbs are you using? If stock, tors still on? Have you syncronised the carb slides, so they raise at same time? Are you getting a nice blue spark on both plugs each and every timr they fire?
  20. Or the needle didn't drop into tube.
  21. If they all don't have grooves don't think it's anything to worry about. I've filed 1/32 grooves no problem.
  22. The groves can cause erratic clutch action. Maybe post a pic if you can. You can take a smooth flat file and clean it up if its not real bad. If you didn't have any issues with how the clutch felt, put it back together and ride.
  23. Explain what you mean by burned a plug?
  24. Using ONLY a proper Banshee/Blaster flywheel puller, not a 2-3 jaw or cobbled shit, you remove the flywheel. Inspect key, shake flywheel, if it rattles that might be your problem. Then there are 2-3 screws holding it on. Either find the download manual or break down and buy a Clymers. Where did you find the specs to put it back together? What was your ring gap? Piston clearance?
  25. Ok, I was trying to see something wrong ie metal blobs on electrod or something crazy. I have to re-read this because 9090 isn't on much.
