  1. I noticed a small leak where the cases meet near the front mount. I will be pulling the motor out this week to fix. My question is can i just flip the motor upside down, remove what needs to be removed in order to split the cases and just pull the boottm case half off? Keep the cylinders, etc. bolted up, the crank and tranny will stay it the top half wont it? I think I have done this once before, but can't remember for sure. Thanks -
  2. I have only been running Sunoco Standard 110 for a limited time, but so far has been great, no issues. I don't use fuel that has set over 2-3 months though either. It's available at the pump also.
  3. The guy did back out of the fronts, but I sold them locally last night.
  4. I run OURY right now. Their good, big, very cushy. I will be trying the Spider grips next though.
  5. Rears are still for sale $210.00 shipped
  6. Funny you say that, i found a guy that has those for sale or trade for some 8 paddles, which i have. Havent heard back from him yet. Have always heard great things about the brats as well. the 21x12x8 9 paddles are what i had my mind set on, just ran across these 22 10 paddles and didnt know how much difference there would be.
  7. My thoughts exactly. I do believe the 10's will be a little much now, but the deal is too good. Appreciate your response, but how does this answer my question? I have 8's now and dont like them. I borrowed a set of 20x10x8 10 paddles last time i went and they were just a hair under what i want.
  8. Just what the topic states. Was going to upgrade to 21x12x8 9 paddle haulers, but found a killer deal on a set of 22x11x8 10 paddle haulers. Will there be any significant differences. Let me know what your guy's experiences have been.
  9. With the 21's in I'm at 148, was 155 fresh. That at 1000ft asl.
  10. I was just about to post a similar thread jaymac. I wanted to know myself if the benefits offset the fuel cost. Running 21cc on pump, thinking about putting my 18cc's in on 110.
  11. I have my front and rear paddles for sale. The rears are 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers on douglas black label wheels. I bought this kit from RMATV. These tires have 2 trips the the dunes on them. The fronts are ITP sand stars 21x7x10 on ITP T9 pro series wheels. These have 2 trips on them as well. Tires have worked great and are in new condition, no scrapes, rips, punctures, plugs, or patches. Would like to sell as a complete set, but will separate. Front and Rears: $350.00 shipped Rears only: $250.00 shipped Fronts only: $150.00 shipped Tires are a little dusty/dirty from sitting in the tire rack in the garage, i will be sure to have them shined up for you before they ship.
  12. I have a 2000 banshee for sale. The bike is in excellent condition. I am the second owner. I had the motor rebuilt last summer, it has approx. 20 hours on it. When the motor was rebuilt it got a new hotrod crank, all new bearings and seals wiesco pistions, HRJ dune/play port, Kehien 28mm carbs, Noss cool head w/21cc domes, chariot billet reed cages with boyesen reeds, CPI pipes and silencers - bought back in March of this year, K&N pods w/ outerwears, still have the stock air box with K&N as well, shift star, cascade clutch, billet impellor, timing plate set at +4, and custom graphics with matching seat cover. The engine was assembled by Area51 Offroad and broke in per their standards. The rear suspension is stock with a shock cover, the front suspension has the yfz conversion, including a-arms, spindles, and hubs with banshee +2 tierods and ltr450 shocks with preload, compression, and rebound adjustability to bring it back to stock height. The front end is solid and true. Gave it a +2+1 geometry with about 4 more inches of travel. The ltr shocks have matching covers as well. Fluids are changed very often, engine ice in radiator, and dumonde tech oils in the tranny and pre-mix 40:1. I have never had any issues with the bike, compression got low and had it rebuild, it never came apart. This is the first rebuild from the factory. I believe i have all the paperwork, i will see if i can find the bore size. asking $3,000.00 have nearly 6k invested. There aren't many defects, you have a couple small stress marks in the plastic, i did notice the other day the there is a little chip in the chrome on the CPI's where they have rubbed the stock exhaust bumpers on the frame, it is just on one side, maybe the size on a dime at most, typical paint wear on the bottom of the frame, couple dings in the front bumper, all in all a great bike in great condition and mechanically sound. I am very particular with my stuff and try to take the best are of everything i own, the last thing i want to do is have issues while out riding or on a trip somewhere. nothings more frustrating. I also have a set of paddles for sale separately. They are 20x10x10 8 paddle haulers on douglas black label wheels and sand star fronts on ITP wheels. $350.00 shipped for both. will separate if requested. Thanks - Josh
  13. For a work truck i would consider a dodge, but that would be only after i extinguished all possibilities of finding a duramax. 06 and later have the 6 speed allison, which they needed. The only thing i dont like about them is the small fuel tank size. My has a 26 compared to fords 38 and dodges 34 for the same model. All 3 manufacturers have been close to each other for a while, one will always be better in one aspect and lack in an other. At the end of the day your the one making the payment, hopefully its to gmac Good luck, be sure to update us on what ya get.
  14. your not going to bother Kevin - great guy. I would start at 50/160 and go from there.
  15. your right there, have to be patient, i know its frustrating at times. Completely stock i was at 25/280/middle groove/air screws 1 1/4 turns out. Good luck.
  16. My bike came with T6's the same as you. I had a clean up port with a new top end and the T6's came on a hair sooner and pulled harder than the T5's i went to.
  17. I've used water wetter in the past with good luck, I use Engine Ice now, it works great as well, with the convenience of a single bottle. Probably not any different than the super cool Red Line now has. Its also non-toxic, I'm sure the dog appreciates that.
  18. ya man you definitely take home the award for shit weekend. Hope the little man recovers quickly.
  19. i eat 4 strokes has the right idea, just may have taken it alittle too far. Most banshee issues are due to their owners, previous or current. I can understand the frustration thought. Doddy, hope you get it back up a running soon man.
  20. for the investment it is a good upgrade. I have 4*on the right and 5* on the left of positive caster. I have the yfz arms, hubs, and spindles with ltr40 shocks for stock height. Steers great, not stiff, the extra travel is nice, along with the added stability. The first set of spindles i got were off an 04 and the caster was unacceptable. it was like steering a truck with the power steering pump out. The newer set made all the difference.
  21. looks good, hope it holds up bud. Im with madjimmax, i think i would have added some material. Those cover screws are pretty soft too, an allen may work better as well. just my .02
  22. here is a good write up comparing the 2. personally i would stick to fuels designed for your intended purpose. If your banshee happen to sprout wings though,be my guest. Im sure there are plenty of people on here that have used it with no issues at all, I just dont care to take the chance. Click
  23. Silicone blows out pretty easy at the mid pipe. If you dont have the oem rubber clamps to use, O'reilly's has high temp rubber hose you can buy by the foot. The stuff i have used in the past is by Gates #24016 vulco hose. Has always worked for me in the past.
  24. i assume your talking about where the head pipe meets the cylinders? i have always double o-ringed mine. 1 set installs within the pipes like normal the other set slides on the exhaust flange ahead of the pipe.
  25. Looks like good times for sure. The mud is just too much for me anymore.
