  1. So with the rings on the piston is lose and will drop right through? I don't think that is good. Sounds like you should buy the next size up on pistons and have it bored out. I sent my pistons with so my machinist could match it perfect. I rebuilt mine last year and with the rings on it was nice and snug, and now it is still running like a raped ape.
  2. I should of thought to ask that LOL!
  3. thanks guys for all the imput now I can sleep at night
  4. I could be wrong but they should be pretty snug. You sure it hasn't been bored over?
  5. So what is the up side of raising the exhaust port? So are you guys saying I didn't get a very good port job? I'm fairly new to banshee's I'm used cr250s and cr500s from my moto days and that port worked good on those.
  6. Ok just so I would know exactly what kind of port work I have for when yall ask. I asked my port guy what he did and he told me he raised the exaust port, and matched all transfer ports just to let the motor flow better. So all you port guys what kind of port would that be? A dune port? He said that is all he did cause I didn't want to lose any bottom end. Everybody who has had port work done by him loves it and so do I he is a perfectionist so he takes a little longer and only does it for friends on all kinds of two stroke motors. But when I asked if it was a dune port he kind of looked at me funny maybe it's cause he mostly does it for mx racers.
  7. I would totally buy one if they made one of course I would keep my current banshee. The motor they are talking about using for that is the one off the phazer snowmobile 80 HP stock. That is bad ass for a stock wheeler! 80 is a little higher than the 32 or so the current banshee comes with. Come on guys you would be nuts not to want that. It won't happen though
  8. none at least thats what I have always heard
  9. Man you bought new pistons and thats what you got those get broken skirts all the time they are garbage. Do your self a favor junk the other piston too and get some wisecos you won't regret it. Well your at it you should do all your seals as well. I would also have your jugs done.
  10. police officer here you know a pig
  11. I like klotz gear oil
  12. Did you split the case pull the crank and look if not I would strongly suggest that you do. When the skirt breaks that is where the pieces fall. I had a few tiny little pieces fall down there and they jacked up my crank luckly not the case.
  13. I have a swingarm, axle, carrier for sale anyone interested? Carrier is still assembled to axle, sprocket, hubs everything except rotor used it for another wheeler. I can leave carrier assembled or break it up let me know. It's off a 95 banshee everthing looks good don't know the shape of the bearings but they seem fine.
  14. good point! I have run it for years no problems then I tried yamalube and had my banshee and 250r quad racer engine go out shortly after never try that shit again. Just was wondering what the big deal is with the techniplate is why people talk it up so much? It's running on pump gas
  15. I'm a Klotz fan and love my R50 but lots of people talk up the Super techniplate I was wondering if it is worth the switch? Lets hear the pros and cons.
  16. once you get that gauge working let me know how you like it. I'm thinking about getting one
  17. that shouldn't fry it it's not like home wiring there is only one phase only 12v possible. It just wouldn't work that way so hook it up right and should be fine.
  18. I believe you need to hook into the yellow with a stripe here is a diagram link hope it helps http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/elecfaq.html
  19. 40:1 Klotz
  20. Dude you broke the skirt off the old piston please tell me during the rebuild you split the cases to check around the crank for peaces! If you didn't I would almost promise you that is your problem. When my engine went out last time my banshee came to a skiding stop like it had seized. Come find out my skirt had broken off my piston and the pieces were getting wedged around my crank hense the skiding to a stop. So if you didn't check around your crank I would quit jacking with it split the cases and check for pieces around the crank before you jack up the case. Oh and just for heads up you will probably need a new crank if there is pieces down there I had to replace mine.
  21. here is another http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/elecfaq.html
  22. Here is my guess, You did all your mods did not rejet your carbs ran it lean and siezed it. Just my guess.
  23. One question why are you so set on a new crank is yours broke? If not just do your top end and timing and pipes your stock crank should be just fine I only got a new crank cause a piston exploded and jacked mine up.
  24. Man this great I am laughing my ass off! I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard before reading this. K guys tell him 20 more times and he may know how to do it! HAHAHAHAHA!!! :yelrotflmao:
  25. Utah here I ride little sahara, st. anns and knolls. Knolls is kind of fun because you get little dunes, flats, trails and mountains, but you can't beat little sahara and st. anns I love the big dunes!
