  1. All kinds of truth here
  2. I was at the dentist the other day. He's a die hard GM truck owner. Gets a new duramax every couple of years. While I was at my appointment he was in between phone calls to his daughter and a dealership 1,000 miles away because her 2012 duramax, his previous truck, was broke down alongside the interstate, loaded with a gooseneck full of horses, with a plugged exhaust filter. Earlier this winter I visited with my neighbor who has a towing business. Originally he was die hard Ford owner. All 7.3, 6.0 and 6.4 550 trucks. He had zero 7.3 and 6.0 issues. Had issues with his 6.4. It even got a new motor under warranty, just shy of 100,000 miles. He deleted and tuned the new motor after the warranty was up. LOVES it. Pulls awesome and the mileage was drastically improved and no more issues since. He decided to give Dodge a try after his 6.4 experience. He has two 6.7 5500 roll backs. He's had clutch issues as well as egr failure and headgaskets problems with the older model, which is a 2012. His newest, a 2015, has been mostly trouble free so far. He really doesn't get that excited about his Dodges. He said the interiors and the fit and finish aren't that great and they are underpowered, but on the overall they get the job done. They ALL have their issues.
  3. They ALL have their flaws. Each of the big three have their issues in some form or another. Ultimately it's up to the buyer to decide what potential issues they could be faced with when considering the rig / brand that best fits their needs or desires.
  4. This guy ^^^ gets it.
  5. You do own a Banshee right? Is it 100% stock? Do you still have the tors in place? When four stroke motors were becoming the standard to phase out two strokes to meet emissions compliance, were they perfect and without flaws?
  6. Finally. Someone else who gets it. Too many people throw stones when they don't understand the big picture of the 6.0 and 6.4 motors.
  7. She's probably exhausted... As a father of four, let me offer some input: Be as supportive as you can so she's cool with you having more personal playtime in the future. Also, do WHATEVER you have to, to be certain she is getting enough rest. If not, that can turn into a nightmare for both of you quickly.
  8. Think lockout clutch at the top of your mods list.
  9. A lot of this depends on your riding skill, how aggressively you ride and how serious your are about the whole thing.
  10. X2 on a quality neck brace.
  11. I'm definitely not a fan of the stickers look. What you've done here is tasteful and looks good imo. Definitely far better then random misc stickers. It will be interesting to see how it all looks once you have it all together.
  12. What is that delio on your clutch cable? Some sort of easy pull setup? Edit: Glad to see you're having a good time.
  13. Looks good. Did you do the tank and radiator covers yet?
  14. Does it "feel" like the bike is getting excessively hot? Or just what the guage says?
  15. For sure! Good question
  16. I can imagine it took some doing to get the right look. I'm definitely curious to see how it turns out in finished form.
  17. Good to hear on your update gusto.
  18. Is your interest in relocated pegs strictly for clearance to your lockout cover? Or would you prefer them for rider comfort too?
  19. What were we talking about the other day JD??
  20. That thing sounds great!
  21. It all boils down to personal comfort and what works for each of us. That's the first I've heard on anyone not liking relocated pegs. I can see how they would feel weird at first.
