  1. Ok thanks guys, ill let him know, Baker - I do know its a all stock motor with a stock head so its not a octane issue.
  2. Buddy just got him another banshee. 140 compression both sides. I rode it the other day and it had a miss under wot. Now he says it backfires out right pipe when u give it gas and will barely idle. Cleaned carbs, checked reeds and swapped wires still does it. Any suggestions?

  8. If you have the money why not....extra insurance, 1 less thing to do when you upgrade, because you will eventually.... Ive always been told there is NO such thing as overkill when it comes to protecting your investment. I was buying stuff I didnt need for my stock drag ported motor, then went to my teeny lil 4mill drag motor and wasnt out of hardly no money because i had MOST the bases covered, if i wouldve only thought about a tranny lol

  11. Thanks Dave, yea I already have a DD lockout and FAST clutch kit. So far it pulls hard just can't get it to shift into 3rd under load. Have to let out completely. Which ain't even worth me taking to the track unless I get that sorted. How much will one run me? N down 1-5th duneable?

Need some info guys, slowly but surely building my first drag bike, Had a 4mill Full drag ported motor built by Jeff, finally ditched the T5's and got me some cpi oof's, fuc*ing things rips hard for what it is ONLY....I catch all kinds of hell shifting, had several mods done while jeff had it but i need a tranny? so someone please explain the differences between dunable non dunable, straight cut etc? Im green when it comes to trannys.... Im thinking i want a 2-5th clutchless man 6th?

  18. ohh no... Man your good with me, u know that. I didn't mean to come off in a defensive manner. What makes this motor get so hot? I'm still using the br8es plugs. I'm about to go take it to my friends so I can get a 1-6th and plug chop for ya. It couldve very well been heat that I was experiencing. I need to call Jeff instead of just having him read the thread maybe he missed something. I was planning on taking this bike to LS in June. So I can't just rip the dunes on it? If not then Ima have to get me another quad man.
  19. I went to 55s because I was only a half turn out from seated on my 50s, now I'm 1 1/2 on the 55s. As far as hot lapping I just made a few 6-10 passes that were maybe a couple mins apart. Why can't u do that? If I have to ride for a min or two and shut it down I may be on the market for some different cyls. My friend has a drag ported shee and runs it all day long, whats the difference? Yes I knew what i wanted, I wanted a full out drag ported 4 mill that i can just hop on and rip and throw the struts on and hit the drags on the weekends....I discussed that with Jeff also when he built the motor. You went from cpi ins to oofs? just wondering because I went from t5's to cpi oof's, bigger change right? What ya mean it "Does NOT sound like a jetting issue?" What you think it is? I dont know, thats why im here.... Seems to run fine till it gets warm.
  20. Thanks guys for all the replys. Didn't get a chance to fool with it much today. Cut rear fenders finally. And changed tranny fluid. Will do a plug chop tomorrow. I'm guessing lean as well on this. So I raise clip 1 notch to fatten? And Ima go with 165s from my 162s and see if that helps. I have some 180s that were in carbs but I know they are way to big. Had bigger pilots so I put them in. Went from 50s to 55s.

  22. Have done so sir. Have sent him pms concerning this ordeal and he stated "looks like you got all the info, time to get to work" so I'm taking timing being too high and evrything mentioned is correct? Shrugs I sent him a link to this thread and had him read over it.
