I have personally never drank nos but i have heard of people huffing and and they say it makes you feel really good. But on another note is really sounds like you got a crank with a faulty bearing and they are just not wanting to do anything about it.

When you install the idle screws on your stock carbs you need to grind about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch off of the bosses so the screws will be long enough.

If the bearing on that side is gone then that would have been what got it hot. If a bearing goes out it is going to generate a hugh amount of heat and if you keep running it with that bearing bad then i could see how that happened.

Are you talking about the hole were your stator wiring comes out of? Because if you are talking about the hole that is right in the middle between the carbs that one just goes straight through so shit can drain off of the motor.

I guess i am a little confused. Why did you tear it apart and what did you tear apart? Did this problem just start all of the sudden or after you had done something to the quad? It is pretty hard to get the fuel line on wrong. If you tore the carbs apart for some reason you may have got your float messed up and it may not be getting enough fuel in the oone carb. One other question you plugs may look fine but how old are they? You may have a plug going bad.

This is very true. The problem we are having is that for most of our trucks they will idle for 80% of their life. They spend most of their time under the power lines with a guy up in the air working out of the bucket. What engines do you guys build? I hear cat is getting out of the on raod engines for the most part in the big trucks.

Why do you not want to pull start a banshee? :shrug: Never heard of that one. Sounds like to me you are low on compression. Have you done a compression test on the bike to see were you are at?

Just a little more info. LOL sorry Brandon not jacking your thread. It will start warm it is only cold that it wont start unless you choke it out with your hand. Once he has it started and warmed up it starts like a dream and runs awsome. I rode with him all weekend and Florence and we had a blast. LOL we really had a blast watching his buddy go over the bars on his dirt bike :biggrin:

O it is mostly on our Cummins engines and a few of the Cats we have. We have a ton of trucks up in Washington that never get out on the highway and run at freeway speed long enough and so because of that they will not regin and the light come on and the power drops ya its all kinds of fun. They are trying to reset the programs on the trucks now for the work we do.

So are you the one i need to blame for all this trouble i am having with this regeneration crap? LOL

It worked awsome. Never had any trouble with fuel at all. I took it out for 2 full days of riding this weekend and had no trouble running wide open. Did lots of drag racing and plenty of riding and was real happy with it. I had several people look at it and they thought it looked cool and ask were i got the idea and i was sure to tell them i got the idea here from seeing you do it.

I posted the part numbers for those bearings a while back on here i will find the numbers again when i get home tonight. I have the numbers for the bearings from napa

Most people say not to use an impact on a puller because it will mess the treads up from time to time. I know i am sure lots of people do it myself included but thats why they say not to because it will ruin the threads once in a great while. As far as the hammer on a breaker bar thing goes it is really easy and as the other guy said it is a poor mans impact lol if you need more than 2 hands to do it you are just not old school enough i guess lol

Ya cameron and i were discussing the stock cylinder 10 mill when i was up there the other night lol its just a money thing ya know. i have 2 kids at home full time and 2 kids half time and we own 5 quads soon to be 6 so any extra money to build that second bike is just not there right now. BUT i have one graduating next year and one the year after so maybe then i wil get a little more play money back at least i hope i do lol.

That is very true snop. You actually could pull 75 out of this motor even on his dyno if i wanted to but i was not looking for just big numbers i had a little stumble in the top of the bike we were trying to find that was random and thats why we put it on the dyno. It turned out to be a bad spark plug cab it is just nice to put them on the dyno were you can control the runs when you have a little problem like that. Cameron and i talked about it when he was dynoing in and he said if we rejetted and did a couple of other little things we could pull 75 but i am very happy with the way it runs right now and was not really looking for big numbers just a good running bike ya know.
