  1. How much do you charge to mod the frames? I probably shoudve went this route instead of the 500r.
  2. Some people don't care about free apps and in app purchases. Those people are apple customers for sure. That's one reason I said to go with android if that's what you want. But if you're not a dumbass you can have some of that with apple products too.
  3. Everyone you know are dumbasses haha. If you upgrade to a new os (ios 5 to ios 6 etc), you have to unbreak it first but that's it. I have about 5 coworkers with jailbroken iPhones with no problems.
  4. I've always been a android guy and hate apple as a company but I got a ipad 4 last Christmas. It sucked until the jailbreak was available for ios 6. Pretty nice now. Its not a rooted android device by any means but it is nice. Look into rooting/jailbreaking and see if that's your cup of tea. If it is, get a android since since all new ipads will likely ship with ios 6.1.3 and it is not jailbreakable and a new jailbreak wont be offered for some time.

  6. Which wires are you testing on the coil? Primary coil is testing is done where the orange and black wires plug on and secondary is plug wire to plug wire. The clymers manual is wrong on coil testing. Don't blow your money on all that. All 3 are not bad.

  9. When you check the stator, coil, kill switch and key switch, make your checks at the cdi connector so that you are checking all of the wiring too. Also check the stator at the stator connector since the resistance is so low that the resistance may not be in spec if you go by the reading at the cdi connection.
  10. Swapping coils and stators is not the best way to go about it. Get that meter out and ohm everything. If everything checks good, it's the cdi.
  11. Yeah that one sucks. The coil is also grounded to the frame through the mounting screws.
  12. 97-06 cdis will work for you. You should check everything else before buying a cdi though. The cdi is the one component that you cannot check.
  13. Find a meter and get to checking. If you got a eBay cheapo (Ricky stator) throw it away now.

  17. Live ran maier on 4 different bikes. Only one had to me massaged to fit. No problems here.
  18. Unplug the cdi. Test at the cdi connection so you test all the wiring between the cdi and the components. Red to green: 13.5-20.5 White/green to white/red: 95-140 black to orange: 0.28-0.38 spark plug boot to spark plug boot: 5700-8100 (4700-7100 + 2 5k plug caps) Red/black to black: short (with key switch turned on) Black/white to black: open (with kill switch turned on)
  19. Black/white goes the kill switch/tether. Like hoppedup said, when it gets grounded it kills the motor.
