  1. pshhh, no joke. i got a 3 star rating too, WTF!? haha. i wanna know what the rating is for? is it supposed to be a reward for helpfull info or is it just some sort of popularity contest thing?
  2. never tried with choke warm or without choke cold( pretty much always start it with choke pulled out). after a WOT run the plugs were wet, i'm thinkin the main is a little rich too but my main concern is the bottom end. havent done a plug chop yet though. kevin (hjr) suggested 33's when i asked what carbs would work best with the port work. im sure this isn't the problem. sounds good, ill try the air screw first then try out the pilot jets and see what heppens. if it is the electrical system any ideas as to what or where the problem is located? thanks again for the helpfull suggestions guys. tryin to get this thing dialed in before summer hits.
  3. alright, so i finally got to take my bike out for some real ridin since i pickid up the 33 pwk's and i have a couple of minor problems i need help with. 1st, when i start my bike up cold it takes only 2 or 3 kicks with the choke out and no throttle to get started but when my bikes warm, it takes atleast 3 or 4 kicks with half throttle to get runnin? with my stock carbs on it took one soft ass kick to fire it up when warm, wtf? 2nd, the bottom end is really lacking in pretty much every gear, i cant launch in second gear without it takin a second to pick up and go. so with that said, it must be my pilot jet or needle setting right? right now i'm runnin 155 mains, 50 pilots and cel needle on 3rd clip. any ideas as to what to change? am i rich or lean you think? mods are : t5's, vf3's, 33mm pwk's, 21cc domes, +5 timing, pod filters and herr juggs dune port. thanks for the help fellas!
  4. lose some weight?
  5. sounds like you're running rich. when its running rich you need to put smaller jets in to lean it out. as to wich jets you need to change depends on where in the throttle it's boggy.
  6. hmm, yeah im thinkin im gonna pass on that one. :yucky: ................ :ermm:
  7. welcome to bhq!
  8. im not clickin on the link untill someone tells me what it is. :geek:
  9. depends on where you live and what other banshees in like condition are goin for in your area. most go for around 2500 and they are usually early to mid '90s. so if you live in oregon and you can jew the dude down to about 2400 for that '03 then yeah its a good deal. LOL. otherwise look around, see whats out there and if there arent any better deals around than go for it.
  10. 20X10X10 paddles will be a better duning tire than hillshooting tire. if you are planning on doin mostly hillshooting then i would suggest either a set of 22X10X10 10 paddle haulers or 22X10X8 8 maybe 9 paddle haulers. my .02.
  11. well the 450's ur riding with are more than likely wider than you are and if they can make it thru the trails then you should be able to make it too. agreed.
  12. aaahahaha, now that was funny!
  13. just buy another set of carbs, stock or aftermarket it doesnt matter. if you buy stock carbs, be sure to buy a set without the TORS to save yourself some hassle. my .02.
  14. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...hl=cut+plastics http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...;hl=cut+plastic search tool.........works wonders.
  15. ur a dumbass for doin that. happy?
  16. changing jets and needle position is really easy. the jets are in the bottom of the carbs (take the bottom half of the carb off) and the needle is in the top (unscrew the carb cap to get to it). and welcome to the hq.
  17. this might help ya. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...hl=explanations
  18. thats from back in october and its sold.
  19. what kind of riding do you do?
  20. southern california. theres a link to his website in my sig.
  21. no need for the research, i dont plan on goin back there again. im just goin by what forrest service told me when i was there.
  22. the last time i went to sand lake (about a month ago) as soon as i unloaded my bike and before i even started it up forrest service pulled up, pointed to my bike and a buddies and said we were over the db level (i run t5's my buddy runs cpi's). 93 is the db level for sand lake. but, if you stay in the tree line and out of the flats like you mentioned you should be fine.
  23. you are over the db level without a hush kit. if their is one place to ride in oregon and get a ticket it would be sand lake. the sheriffs at their are big time dicks and if they get a chance they will give you a ticket. my advice is to not do anything stupid while you're out there and when you see a sheriff go in the oposite direction and you SHOULD be fine. good luck and have fun.
  24. i had a set of renthal bars snap right at the clamp on the left side when i pulled up for a wheelie too...... i think i still have the bars actually. :ermm: when it happend there where 3 things that went thru my head 1. WTF?!?! 2. thank god i dont run a twist throttle and 3. thank god i was only in 2nd gear.
