bumpity bump bump

including the 33, pwks and the coolhead thats pretty much identical my current setup and it runs great. i'd say go with the 33's over the 35's because as mentioned, with the stock stroke dune ported motor 35's would be overkill and 33's will be plenty if you ever decide you want to go 4mill.

alright guys, so the rag idea worked for the clutch basket and hub but that other nut still wont budge. i think i called it the idler gear but i meant the main (crank) drive gear nut. fucker wont budge. any ideas on how to break it loose?

Herr Jugs Trail/MX ported cylinders
donkeypuncher replied to RIPRuck's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
so whats your asking price? and are they ported for a 4mill or stock stroke and what pipes were they ported for? -
thanks for the tips fellas, i'll giver her a shot and see what happens. if i cant break it loose i might have to invest in one of those vise grip tools yamahaman suggested. thanks again homies!
-
lmao, you homo's. for real though, im in the process of tearin my motor down but the idler gear nut is bein a huge PITA! i've tried to remove it via impact but it didn't budge. also, how are you guys removing the nut that holds clutch basket on? or atleast how are you guys keeping the clutch basket from spinning as you are trying to remove the nut? TIA!

just like 06 and whore said, ziplock baggy or plastic bags with rubberbands will do and try not to spray water directly onto the filters. or you can take the filters off and ziplock or rubberband the bags over the carbs themselves.

kevin at HJR (herr jugs racing) is a top notch dude. he's based out of southern cal. i had my cylinders "dune" ported by him and i couldn't be happier! they rip hard from bottem end to top theres plenty of power to put a smile on my face every time i crack the throttle. he's got super quick turn around time and is always more then happy to answere any and all questions you have. feel free to give him a call and talk to him. tell him what type of riding you do and he'll set you up. i gurantee you wont be dissapointed!

sweet! im really lookin forward to somebody testing these cylinders with different low-mid range set ups! i'll definately be staying tuned to see what the results are from your dyno test and tune!

Black/Blue Themed Banshee Pics!

heres a few more to help with some ideas... -
i started hearing that same noise a couple of years ago. wasn't sure what it was and i couldnt find the problen, i just figured my motor was over 5 years old and it needed rebuilt. so i tore her apart and freshened her up a little. when i put her back together and fired it up i still had the same nois. so my theory is that it's a sound my bike (aswell as yours) has always made, you just never noticed it untill now. i've listened to a few other banshee's and they make the same sound.

you sure you bought a serval cub from trinity or did you buy a "cheetah" cub?

that sucks! guess i've been pretty luck. the only time i ride with full pants is when its cold otherwise i wear shorts and i've yet to burn myself. shoot, i used to ride in basketball shorts, jordans and a sleeveless shirt back in the day. i've tapped the pipe with my leg a couple of times but have never actually burned it. but i do have a story about a kid that came riding with us once. he wouldnt wear pants, even when everybody including myself suggested he should, but atleast we were able to convince him to change out of his sandles . well, we were ridin in the dunes and some of them can sneak up on you pretty quick especially with the glare from the sun on the sand during summer. he ended up ridin off a 3 or 4 foot dune and landing hard, he lost his footing on the pegs and ended up with T5 burned to his leg. haha. not even joking it was so clear it looked like somebody branded T5 onto his leg. i wish i had a picture of that shit!

GREEN BANSHEE ? anyone have this done
donkeypuncher replied to dirtbike drew's topic in Banshee Appearance
FUCKING GAY! if you want green and black do green and black but dont put kawasucki on the plastic. btw, green and black has been done quite a few times. try searching monster energy on here and a few should pop up. the most popular way of doin the green and black theme is a monster green (shocker green and yellow look sweet too) frame with black plastics. if i were to do a monster/kawi themed bike i would go with black frame, swinger, a-arms and wheels with green plastics and other small knick-knacks green. but like i said, if you're gonna put a manufacturer's name one it use yamaha only.....if you want kawasucki stickers buy a kawasucki. -
i agree on everything except the dunes part.......but i dont go to the dunes to eat at restraunts or buy stuff from the yamaha shop and i camp in the sand only..... but as far as im concerned as long as it isnt as small of a riding area as sandlake i'll have a good time.

What size and how many paddles for these mods?
donkeypuncher replied to Killswitch69's topic in Sand Forum
9 paddle normal haulers on a 10" rim isn't a whole lot. i've run 20x10x10 10 paddle haulers since all i had was pipes and never had a problem cuttin the rear end loose. plus he has a little longer swing arm so there should be a little less weight on the tires (less traction). not to mention if or when he ends up porting his cylinders and or stroking his bike he'll wish he had a little more tire/paddle. if he bought an extreme i would lean to maybe an 8 paddle but a he should be fine with a 9 paddle normal hauler. -
NGK BR8ES here lol, what!? how would somethin cause cancer in only 43 states? if somethin is cancerous wouldnt it cause cancer everywhere?...or are you joking?

if the sand sharks are free i say use them. they arent a great tire but you cant beat free......as long as they arent the sand gecko. if you dont plan on goin to the dunes very often then a free set of sand sharks will do just fine. if you plan on making multiple trips to the dunes they you will be happier buying a set of haulers. 20x10x10 8 or 9 paddle haulers are a good all-around tire. if you are more into treeshots or drag racing you will want a set of tires with an 8 inch rim. somethin like a 21x12x8 8 paddle. but like kickstart and myself said, for free the sand sharks will work fine.
