MOST WANTED (Reward if captured)
donkeypuncher replied to Banshee Rider239's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
yeah, which is why i called to make the order instead of just paying for them online. when i payed over the phone the dude mentioned nothing about shipping charges. he just let me pay for 'em, then a couple days later tried to call me back and charge me an extra $150 for shipping. talk about throwin out some bait to drag me in. -

just for the record, they wont ship plastics for free. i tried to buy a set of fullbores from them a few months back and the day they went to ship them (after i had already payed BY PHONE a week earlier) they called me and were like, "sooooo the package that we're putting the plastics in is like the size of a washing maching so its gonna be $130 to ship".... yeah, thanks for the false advertisement douchebags. anyways, if you're gonna buy from them be prepaired to pay around $650 for a full set of fullbores. i'll also add that while i was on the phone with the dude telling him what i wanted to order he was like," hmm, thats not the right price for that", and jacked the price up $40 more WHILE i was on the phone with him. -

bump for a nice set of fullbores! have you checked on shipping price thru greyhound? i checked a while back and it was somethin like $50 or $70 to ship a full set of plastics from oregon to the east coast with the same amount of days in transit as ups or fedex. -

would you sell the 3 2 1 cap seperately? -
based off personal experience, i honestly can't say i have one negative thing to say about cascade. its nice that they carry such a variety of parts and are relatively close to where i live. if im in a pinch and i cant find the part(s) i need locally i know cascade can get them to me 1 or 2 days after i place an order or if need be i can make the drive to get the part without breaking the bank. every time i've talked to them in person or over the phone they've been pretty nice. i've never felt like they didnt have time to talk to me or didnt want to waste time talking to me.

do as matt suggested. give both of them a call and go with whomever you feel most comfortable with. the only "pros" would be, i think kevins prices are a little lower (if i remember right) and with you being in az shipping charges to hjr would be cheaper being as he's based out of southern california (encinitas ?). as far as porting itself goes, you honestly cant go wrong with either dude.

im gonna second socalsuspensionsystems (MATTSCESC). shipping to him in CA might not be the cheapest but he doesn't charge for return shipping and his rebuild prices beat everybody else's prices i've found. not to mention he does great work. i personally have had him rebuild a full set (front and rear) of custom axis shocks for me and have not one single thing to complain about.

so i just got done trying to put my cool head on and failed thanks to the oring in my left dome falling out and getting pinched between the dome and the cylinder. unfortunately i didnt notice untill i was trying to fill my radiator with coolant and noticed the coolant flowing out of my left cylinder exhaust port. it looked like all of it was flowing out of the exhaust but im kinda worried some may have found a way down into my bottom end. my question is, should i be worried about it? is or could it be a big enough problem that i should split the cases and get whatever coolant that may be in there out?

well mr.genius i guess ur ACE swninger is 6lbs then (highly unlikely) becuase i just weighed a spare stock swing arm and guess what, it weighed in at roughly 12 1/2 lbs give or take a 1/2 lb. in any case an aftermarket round carrier swing arm is definitely the way to go.

Trends Banshee owners follow
donkeypuncher replied to nick_n_ii's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i completely agree bro! i hate those people that think their home cookie cutter porting his better then having your cylinders ported by somebody that knows what their doin like hjr, f.a.s.t, redline, etc... or those people that make poll threads on whether a stock milled head is better then a cool head and get pissed off when 90% of the people vote the cool head is better. i totally feel ya on your post man! -
i wanna say somewhere around 12.5 lbs. been a while since i weighed my swing arm though so i could be wrong.

piston too tall for cylinder?
donkeypuncher replied to donkeypuncher's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
right now i have the stock pistons in. but i think i just figured it out. i think i need to buy pistons made for the longer rods my 4mill crank has. -
what up fellas. so i just got done puttin my new top end on my bike after installing a 4mill crank and i now have a little problem. when i turn the motor over, as the piston reaches tdc the top ring goes past the top of the cylinder and gets stuck making it impossible to turn completely over. makes me think i need to run a spacer plate at the bottom of my cylinders to fix this but, i thought having my domes cut for the longer stroke meant i wouldnt need a spacer. also, if i run a plate after having my cylinders ported for the longer stroke won't it throw the port timings and what not off? and im not sure if it matters but i'm running stock pistons (cylinders are on stock bore). only thing i can think of is either i do need a spacer plate and just misunderstood when you do or don't need to run one or my crank isn't really a 4mill crank.....? any ideas?
