  1. Thanks tons of help, I have a clymer but its from 88 so the pictures are kind of hard to make out. That dunereview link is great though
  2. I am thinking of maybe stroking my shee but I am really intimidated by opening the cases. Im afraid ill open it and parts will fall everywhere and ill be f**ked. It seems like a lot of people have done it. Does anyone have some instructions with pictures or anything like that?
  3. Can someone inform me on what ave 100LL gas is? Im running a fairly stock setup but im planning on a rebuild/hone and port the cylinders and also want to do +4 timing plate. I am planning on running 91 octane, would that be okay? When its all said and done what kind of power gain should I expect, right now I have stock cylinders (well overdue for a rebuild) stock carbs with K&N can filters.
  4. I haven't heard any people on bansheehq talk about cascade innovations. They are out of oregon and thats who I buy all of my parts from. These people are extremely knowledgeable about banshees. Not to be sexist but even the woman who answers the phone knows a banshee inside and out. They have the nicest billet parts with extremely intricate designs and pay attention to detail. All the chrome polished things and engine parts are from them and I have always had great experiences. The people you talk to on the phone are always willing to help get you what you need. I also have a custom made seat from them and WOW they did an awesome job it fits great, super durable and looks outstanding. I have seen these guys at dune fest a couple of times and their banshees are AMAZING. Check them out at Cascade-innovations.com
  5. My brother has the polished cover with the 12 bolt lexan and the lockup, he bought the cover and a billet water pump cover from Cascade. He loves it and I am planning on getting one too. the only thing is that it sticks out kind of far and rubs on your ankle, I ride in skate shoes frequently so I could see it getting bothersome. Cascade is also GREAT, I havent heard many people talk about them on here, their out of Oregon they are the nicest most knowledgable people that sell you what YOU need and they have every part for a banshee.
  6. no offense but that looks like junk. NEVER paint random parts or random engine parts looks baaadddd

  8. I was thinking about running a 2 into 1 intake for the reason that tuning, maintenance and cost is cheaper. I thought that maybe a 35mm was too small to feed both cylinders but I stand corrected. Did you expirience significant power gains? I do almost only sand riding and I have stock carbs and looking to upgrade.
  9. Ya, thats the issue is that I already have my banshee built how I want it I was just going to buy another for friends to ride or to sell and make a little cash. I also wrecked my shee 3 weeks ago and Im still putting it back together (45 mph blindsided a wall at night). and my brother shattered his stator on his so his is getting put back together, I have no room in my garage!!
  10. Thanks man I will definitely be messaging you if I end up getting it
  11. I posted a wanted ad on craigslist for a banshee project. Someone replied and I have been e-mailing him for the past couple days. He has a 1997 shee it is mostly a complete roller but the mounts where the rear shock connect are broken (not an issue, my brother is a professional welder) it is also missing the tank and radiator shrouds, the coolant hoses, motor mounts and some wiring. Hes also going to throw in a motor that has some porting and the case is powder coated. He says that the engine came out of a drag bike that his dad bought but they never ran it and they dont know if it runs. Im not too worried if it runs because I am a semi-pro engine mechanic. He is asking $500 for eveything. I have to drive about an hour to pick all the stuff up. Is this a good deal??
  12. your case may be filled with fuel. I rebuilt a banshee that wouldnt start, had good fuel/spark/compression but it would run or it would barely run and I took the cylinders off and the case had tons of fuel in the case so I sucked it out with a windex squirter and it ran after a new top end. but for the three days I tried to figure out the issue I wanted to push it off a cliff. When I took the exhausts off they had fuel sitting in them which was what led me to beleive there was fuel in the case
  13. Hey guys I just discovered banshee hq so I had to join. I have been riding for 14 years now and I have had a banshee for 7 of them.
