  1. Your jetting is reasonable, and your compression is great IMO. What are your air screws set at?
  2. If you're straight draggin get the +6.
  3. Toomey > FMF. NYUK is a great guy. Get T5s... I got mine for $275 shipped used, fresh paint, etc.
  4. I have one somewhere, but my brothers also use the same tool sets. They never put shit away and I got tired of looking for it, so I consider it gone. Yes, you have to replace all studs for the PD head.
  5. Even if I could do it, even for a third of the coolhead cost, I wouldn't.
  6. I'll look into it, thanks.
  7. Bringin the bike?
  8. Winter riding sucks? Thank god I live in Florida...winter. summer...what's the difference? 20 degrees and 30 mins of rain? NOTICE: Sig is summer. If it was winter...it just wouldnt be wet.
  9. 9 came out with vice grips, 1 is sitting there and still won't come out... Threads are to destroyed to double nut (didn't have a 12mm wrench anyways), the propane torch I tried to use was from like 1970 and caught fire and almost blew up in my garage, but I played fireman.
  10. Great guy to deal with, excellent communication, and reasonable. No problems whatsoever.
  11. Right. Just drill it and tap some threads. Take the carbs off when you do it, you don't want carb body shavings in your motor. It's really easy to snap the bit too. Make sure you use some lubricating spray. (Aluminum I think?) I had a local shop do it only because I didn't want to mess this part up, and I knew I probably would. I think it was like $20 or something...well worth the hassle I would have had I think!
  12. That's one of my biggest concerns. Thanks again all.
  13. What is the best way to remove the stock studs? Thanks guys.
  14. Tomorrow I'm installing my Pro Design Head, 21cc domes, and a Chariot Timing plate (+4.) I was wondering what kind of troubles you guys ran into, any tips you may have, etc. I am NOT asking how to install anything. I have all that information. I just want to know what to expect, what kinds of problems you guys might of had, etc... This will be the furthest I've broken my bike down to on my own, so I'm a bit weary and want to be as prepared as I can.
  15. TORS removal is easy and well worth it! It'll make cleaning, taking apart, and tuning your bike way, way easier! And it looks a hell of a lot better without all that dead weight on top of the carbs! Speaking of checking the thumb throttle, one time that gold bar inside my assembly bent a little and it was barely catching towards WOT but was a huge pain and made it hard to push the damn throttle. I bent it back and it was fine. 1. Remove the TORS. 2. If you took the carbs apart recently...check the slides (not plum?) 3. Check throttle cable for binding. And LMAO @ smashing the brain to the TORS in that link... And when you do remove the TORS, put the idle screw in the carb body! There is a hole there already, you just have to tap it.
  16. I don't know much about CDIs, and I'm not exactly sure all the TORS stuff is removed correctly (without seeing it...I can see problems easier then I can read them,) but it's definately electrical, and it sounds like it's E-brake/TORs involved. I had a similar issue when removing TORS, and it starting fine but not idling or running. I found out I didn't disconnect it all [TORS], and my air screws were off a large amount (lol). I think you already eliminated that though. I would take Brandon's advice.
  17. Sand it down, paint it black! I have the same color scheme bike and I painted the stocker black... http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o108/Flbass16/3.jpg See sig too.
  18. Thanks. Someone painted the pipes and I ran them a little bit and they turned like that...I think it was the paint he used. Either way I already stripped them down and was looking at 1500* hi temp black grill paint...should do the trick (or header paint.)
  19. A) Take them off and cover the carb openings. Take a trash bag, and wrap it up around both of them at the same time...stuff the extra baggage under the pods, and look for a good seal around them. (Push down the between them, in the center.) <--Works great.
  20. Greedy family for sure. I don't like it. And I don't like it being an '05 SE. Bastards.
  21. Care to explain how?
  22. Pics please from someone's who is shaved, and someones who's is stock? (If anybody has pics.)
  23. Move to FL. I don't winterize shit, and salt doesn't eat up my stuff.
  24. Long live '05 Special Editions.
