Aren't you glad you found this site, there are many builders who are on here frequently that ship stuff all over the world or would take a job from another country, I know for sure Jeff at F.A.S.T. will
-
Well heck if the rents are paying for your stuff and you just want to upgrade for now I'd say go ahead and get a shee, but remember you have to sell it so you got to make sure you can get rid of it kind of fast. But as far as working on this, alot of people on here don't know that I'm 16. I dont really care if they know they just never asked, many of these people think that I am old because I do know alot about banshee's now and because of everything I'm doing with mine, so that just shows you that it's not hard and that if you are on this site alot and you read and ask questions, and work on your bike it's amazing how much you can learn. I have also been around the motocross seen and quads, dirtbikes, and snowmachines and working on them since I was little so just to show you it's not hard

I just bought one for my clutch and stator covers. Whats the best thing to use for lube, Im guess just like a normal anti-lock bolt lube they use for putting motors together?
-
Wow Travis that sounds exactly like my story except mine wasn't blown up it just wasn't running and now I'm rebuilding it completely. If it was me and I only had a year and a half and wasn't planning on doing anything to the bike and just had to sell it maybe he should wait and ride his blaster till then. That way he can save the money a little more and maybe buy something else when he comes over for school or even put it towards his school

Theres your one more man, time to reveal the big secret

Looking good man, I don't think the cover is too bad

stock jetting is around 190-220, I forgot the manufacturer will change it depending on where it's sold... IDK if stock brand new price is worth T-5's and k&n pods, If he charges you 3000 for it I would keep looking because the deals are out there you may just have to look. As far as mods like I said try 290 and do a plug chop that will tell you to go richer or leaner, you don't need to change you pilot for only those couple mods. If you look at my sig. I run all those at sea level and I live in AK so my jetting will be richer than yours due to the coldness and I'm starting out with 320 mains needle on third clip and the stock pilot jet I may have to go to 27.5 pilot , but most likely only in the winter when it's like 20 degrees

When mines not in the garage being worked on I keep it in my shop in the back yard, don't have a big door on it yet so you have to take the tires off the quad and have 2 people turn it side ways and drag it out, keep the door locked, and incase someone does get past the locked gates and the locked door and gets it out my dogs wake me up everytime someone gets to close to the drive way in the street, that dude won't be leaving my yard except in cuffs or in a bag

I agree, when that guys buyer recieves the seat and it's a little different they will work it out. What you should do? Just laugh that someone is dumb enough to use your picture even though his seat is different.

What is the stock main & pilot jet on a banshee?

The stock main I think is like 210 and the stock pilot is 25, and yeah needle on third clip -
Your first question about the shifting, it doesn't sound like a sync problem or anything because it only happens in 1 going to 2. As far as the dual cylinders, it's not a problem you just can't be dumb for example if you need a new piston in the left cylinder you don't go buy one piston and only hone/ bore one cylinder you do both (not trying to be mean just making an example for you, to show you mistakes other people have made, so sorry if it sounds mean) other than just matching both sides syncing the carbs is really the only thing you have to worry about being off on one side or the other. It's really not that complicated, that's why snowmachine makers have made sleds with 2 cylinders since the 70's. It's just something different you have to learn about. About the choke question, stock banshees have a cross over tube on the carbs, and there is only 1 choke, but once you turn the choke on it flows extra fuel through the crossover into the other carb. The cross over Im talking about it a little about 1 1/2 inch rubber tube that goes in between the carbs, not the metal cross over tube that is atached to the carb boots just in front of the reeds. Hope that helps ya and good luck with finding a shee, you'll enjoy it

Well if all you want to do is get the compression back to normal, you probably just going to need new gaskets and new piston rings, but with the new rings you need to have the cylinders honed.
-
Sounds like your going bigger lol. As far as this set up if you choose to buy it you can switch out the domes to accomedate whatever fuel you wanted to run
-
Fattys are pretty good, I like the T-5's, great all around pipe. By the way IMO= in my opinion
-
Haha it's like deja vu' (or however it's spelled). Don't feel bad man I did the same thing until I figured out there were locating pins then they went on pretty easy.
-
That's why I like Brandon he never tries to sell you anything you don't need and never tries to say you should pick me he says find out who you're comfortable with, and he will always help you even if you don't buy or use is services/products. IMO I'd go with Brandon, but as he said call around and see who you are the most comfortable with and who just wants to help you not force you to buy anything
-
Nice bike man, I bet your regretting selling it... Unless you got something bigger and better planned
-
Yeah one of my buddies just got screwed by Yamaha too. Don't get me wrong there not a bad little bike in fact Im going to get my girl one... eventually when my shee is done hahaha, to get her started on and just mod it when she gets use to riding. I just havn't had much luck with them, I've modded a few and tuned a few and ridden one and havn't had much luck. Of course I didn't know nearly as much as I do now about quads, especially 2-strokes and specifically Banshees and Blasters
-
As Paddleboy said you really should figure out what type of riding because that will determine your pipe set up and port job, 500? I think it's only 450 for a drag port, but it sounds like your doing to be riding dunes, which you will probably want a dune port for it's only 350. Jeff isn't the only good builder htere are lots of good ones and everyone has there personal favorite mine happens to be Brandon at Wildcard Racing (Slobanshee06) but call around and see which one your most comfortable with.
-
I can't exactly remember, but if I'm not mistaken they are the thickest and they go between your domes and your deck as Dirty Sanchez said.
-
Im assuming your shee is stock right now? In that case get the pipes, K&N, and paddles... Then get some porting done, while its apart some wiseco pro-lites and a cool head. Once all that is done port your stock reed cages and put some boyesen dual stage carbon petals on them, and get an adjustable timing plate and start with +4 advance, get the jetting dialed in... that should really wake her up.

Call up Tim at Stellar Machine and Performance and tell him what you want he can make them and have the tie rods for them for around 300, and he can make anything you want and explain to you what each little change in stance or setting them forward will do. He's a great guy, I told him I'm looking at upgrading my suspension next winter and he still took time out to explain everything, give me a price, and let me know that they run specials on the website so look for the a-arms to go on sale... He's on here all the time I think his name is AZCUSTOMQUADS
-
You got 26 votes isn't that close enough haha, I'm curious to see what it actually was... when you give us what they were you should post the charts again and give an explaination
-
I'm glad you had some luck with them. I personally don't like them all that much, probably because the only one I've ridden wasn't very great. It had a FMF PC2 silencer, VF3, K&N pod, and supposedly jetted right, but I could only get it to about 51-53mph and couldn't get it to pull all 5 gears... it wasn't mine though so I didn't care, I weigh 205, I know that's big but I expected a little more
-
Agressive trail port, Toomey pipes, port the stock reed cages and get some carbon petals, wiseco piston, re-jet it, pod filter. Do your research and you can get all that for under a grand use the change to find some after market shocks. Blasters are banshee's little brother so they are pretty simular
