  1. I run stock on the rear and drop it down 1 tooth on the counter shaft to 13.
  2. As Matt said, been going there for years and never had a thing stolen, however we always lock our stuff up, especially at night. We are almost always down at Buttercup which tends to be more laid back so I can't directly compare it to Glamis. Again as Matt already stated you will always have a bad element when that many people gather but they are in the extreme minority and knowing how many people pack heat down there one would be crazy to go into someone elses camp to steel shit.
  3. Problem is it can trick your body into not producing it at it's normal levels then your on that shit forever.
  4. you interested in a trade? Got a nice one
  5. Update - Just called these guys and turns out the sand skate 2's have been discontinued. The sand skate 1's are still available.
  6. These guys sell them. They are getting harder to find. http://www.oregonmotorsports2000.com/servlet/the-46308/20x11x10-Sand-Skate-II/Detail
  7. Tim at Stellar makes some really nice extended j-arms http://www.stellarmachineandperformance.com/A-arms_J-arms.php
  8. That's not a bad price, who covers accidental for atv's? My provider won't cover that stuff just theft and fire.
  9. You are correct in that they will not pull you over to "check to see if you have been drinking" but I have been stopped under the pretence that they could not see my stock tail light that was working perfectly only to proceed to the "have you been drinking" questions. Also been asked twice for my bike registration so I just keep a copy in my back pack. I researched into insurance requirements and found that it is not required in CA. but still hear of guys being asked for proof. Has that happened to you Matt and if so did they say it's now required?
  10. Here is a link to the rules and regs for Glamis. They don't screw around on the big weekends and they will pull you over to see if you been drinking. Also make sure you have a copy of your registration on you while riding and a current registration sticker from your local state. Have a great time. We will be out there the week before. http://www.blm.gov/ca/st/en/fo/elcentro/recreation/ohvs/isdra/dunesinfo/lawenforcement/rules_regs.html
  11. I just did mine in flat black and it came out great. scotch brite pad to scuff the plastics up then used and adhesion promoter ( a must in my opinion). After that i used a gloss black (goes on smoother than a flat) and to give it the flat look I used a clear flat.
  12. I think you should just start pulling measurements. Take the wheels off and find a good referance point (I like to use the foot pegs because it is unlikely they are bent) and measure from that point to the center of the spindal. Write your measurements down and do both sides. You need to do this from several points and to all the questionable mounting points of the suspension components. Basically what you are doing is triangulating these points and comparing from one side of the bike to the other which should pin point the problem. Hope this helps.
  13. You could always stretch your stock swinger and still be able to afford the carbs. I've done that many times and have never had one fail. The nice thing with that is you can play with different lengths till you find what works best .
  14. swingarm before the carbs. If your having to chop the throttle to drop the front down then you are not utilizing the full power of the motor anyway, so get the swinger first, j.m.o. Check out Tim's stuff at Stellar. Very reasonable and hands down some of the best quality.
  15. Thanks for the positive comments guys. A standard floor mount tube bender will get the job done.
  16. not sure if this is the angle your looking for. It's hard to pick up the detail with it being black.
  17. I needed a front bumper for this bike and couldn't find anything I liked so i made my own out of some scraps i had lying around. let me know what you think.
  18. Looking for upper left hand a-arm (stock). Must be strait with good ball joint. Thanks.
  19. Just did anouther deal with Josh and the parts are way above what I expected. Super fast shipping and great communication. Thanks Josh.
  20. Money sent for the twist throttle and cable.
  21. Be cautious, kinda sounds like a potential basket case to me. Also sounds like you have a real nice 300ex, so if his bike checks out, tell him you want $200 on top of the trade (as a side note to this if he jumps on that deal real fast than something is up with his bike) and most of all make sure the vin# checks out clean.
  22. twist throttle --problem solved.
  23. Just recieved some a-arms from Itscody, they had a few issues but for the price they are a great deal. Good communication and overall smooth transaction.
  24. This stuff is really cool too and it will stick to plastics http://www.decalfx.com/3d_carbon_fiber_blue_sheets.html
