Ride-Red, I don't agree with your views on illegal immigrants at all, but Im 100% behind the statement I have you quoted about Saddam and Bin Laden. And I gotta laugh at people calling you a "liberal". Im a life long republican with old school conservative values that despises the neo-con ideals of the current so-called republicans, and these neo-con's have the sheep brainwashed to call anyone who opposes them a "liberal". Iv been there.

pretty good chance i'll be out ridin this upcoming Sunday.... lets rip it up.

Thats a great point.

oh jeez.... and he didnt inform you they were blown out..... I was under the impression they were just a little too soft for your taste... but hell, you can't be usin' shocks like that. white06shee, wtf man, you should be really clear on these kinda details, that is a major detail. Plus the fuckers were in inch short. Maybe white06shee should just pay up the entire return shipping and chalk it up as a face saving mistake.
-
The argument that the shocks are too soft or too stiff can't be used against White06Shee, BUT the problem with the shocks being one inch shorter is a problem. Since the shipping was split the first time, it was agreed upon at the time and now that part of the deal is done, it doenst mean that it should be split on the return shipping. Seller is has refunded the money for the shocks plus the original shipping and now wants to Highroller to split the return shipping. The seller clearly made a mistake with the one inch short shocks, so why should Highroller be obligated to split the return shipping costs ?? There is no reason Highroller should technically be paying for half of the return shipping..... but.... on the other hand.... half of 25 bucks is only 12 bucks.... Highroller might want to consider just paying the measly 12 bucks to rid himself of the grief. But techinally, white06Shee should pay all the return shipping, and shouldnt have had to pay back the original $10 dollars shipping cost. That orignial shipping agreement should have been a done deal. It sucks the shocks didnt work out, but the orginal shipping split cost should have been taken as a loss by highroller. Props to White06Shee for refunding that $10 shipping cost. If the shipping costs were in the hundreds of dollars this could be a big deal, but come on guys, we're talkin $25 bucks return shipping. Agree that a mistake was made and the mistake was not done intentially and agree to split the return shipping for the sake of good karma.

my riding season is about over, I'll be working at my job this upcoming weekend, I work every other weekend. I'll try to get out again whenever you and your budds visit again. Its a great time to be out riding, with the leaves turning colors and starting to fall and cover the trails. I'm just getting too old for cold and mud and espeically cold mud. Since I work 12 days in a row and then have only two days off, I havent been riding as much as I'm used to and my free weekend time is hard to divide up. Alot of those landmarks are just big lakes, or main haul roads that go through the territory. I wish the place was more organized sometimes, more professionally laid out, if ya know what I mean. If you ever seen Jason Dunkleburgers interview in the outakes of Huevos 8, he talks about about how the area he rides(referring to the Trevorton Strippins) is just raw terrain, free-riding he called it. There's no groomed MX tracks or any large double jumps, you just have to find and explore here. I think riding here at the Shamokin\Trevorton strippins(or any local riding hot spot) is similar to skateboardin' in the sense that you can skate at a nice skate park with nice ramps and a big ol' half pipe, or you can free-skate around a city and find cool shit to trick off of.

I bought my Hipers about 3 years ago, besides rim diameter, intergrated hubs and different beadlock options I didnt have any choice of models at that time. Your going to have to do some research. riding in the tight woods, up above that lake with the fish, is techinical for sure . Not knowing your skill level, I figured you'd do fine going through that section in the one direction, but when he had no choice but to turn back and backtrack, I knew it was going to be difficult to get back up through that trail . Considering that trail is like 49 1\2 inches wide, twisting, offcamber, uphill... with big exposed tree roots, plus your riding a Banshee with a +2 swingarm... you rode that section admirably. I really really didnt want to back-track on that trail, but you did fine. GleasmJA can handle that Banshee through the worst trails. I wasn't about to go mudbogging either  , nothing is worse than riding all day with soaking wet mud socks on .

man it was nice to have someone to ride with for a change, Im usually out riding by myself and I know thats not too safe. Everytime I looked back at ya you were right behind me and on the gas, so next time you come up we'll hammer a little harder  I could hear your Toomeys pingin' behind me and they sounded great. After I left you, I rode back to Coal Hill and there were still a shitload of people riding, including about 5 buggies. I watched them climb the hills for about 10 minutes then I snuck across Trevorton and out to my parents house. I wasn't about to attempt to ride back to my house in Shamokin, the mud was pretty bad out there. No dust was nice. The coal dust can get real bad, especially at Coal Hill. Next time you come up, I'll dive off the high cliff at The Canyon ! :ninja:

fuckin muddy as all hell today, but I met up with GleasmJA. Didn't see anyone else, what happened to yas ? There was a nice crowd of people riding today, seen prolly 150 people riding today, coal hill was kinda quite, but there was people there all day. I got to Coal Hill at noon and didnt see anyone, I got back at the hill around 1pm and found Jon\GleasmJA. We rode to the Sand Pits and battled tight technical trails and mud puddle-ponds, went to The Canyon and the big grass field at the far west end of the strippins. We were out till 4pm, I got home around 5pm, speckled in mud.

I have an RAD brand tapered bearing carrier.... the easiest way to answer your question is to just use your own judgement. Put the quad's rear end up on a set of jackstands and position the locknut so there is no axle wiggle'in and the axle spins free. Durablues recommened .015 to .017 sounds about right, its not much.

hey dudes i wont be riding tomorrow. It rained alot and everything is mud and puddles, im sure coal hill is rutted and not alot of fun, plus its cold as hell. Its been raining for a coupla days here. Pick a weekend with nicer weather. Im stayin warm and watchin football tomorrow I used to ride the in the snow, but I havent in years, I guess Im getting too old I dont think alot of sport bikes ride out in the strippins when there's snow on the ground. fyi, we call the strip mine area behind Shamokin\Trevorton "the strippins". I would bet there's alot of 4x4 quads zippin around in the snow, but no so much sport quads. Iv been to Coal Hill a few times in the snow in a Jeep, and don't recall seeing anyone out there except for a few 4x4's. But the place has become real popular the last 5 years, so who knows. As for finding Coal Hill. Just get directions to Trevorton Pa. Get to Trevorton and drive through the main drag down the center of town, you can't miss the giant black coal bank at the end of town. Trevorton is small, only 2000 people live there. http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/USPA1658_f.html If anyone decides they're going tomorrow, leave a message here in this thread and a description of thier quad and maybe I'll take a ride tomorrow. Ima skinny dude and I'll be on an all red honda 250r.

I dont have to work this weekend so I'll be out on Sunday. Its supposed to rain on Saturday....

I quit making them a few years ago. A guy who used to post here alot, but has since left the site, once warned me about liablity issues and selling parts without a business license. So I quit making them in fear of being sued. The kits were made real well, and the welds were strong and clean, but the kit needed welded into your frame and that had to be done by the owner of the quad, so there's a chance for problems that was out of my control. My kits were a solid 50 to 60 bucks cheaper and used thicker walled tubing than the compitition's J-arm conv. kit. But I'm just a dude makin the kits in my garage, with no liabilty insurance and no business license. Iv sold aproxx 50 kits in the two years I was making them. Sorry I can't help ya

Natalie and Borich are REEEEEALY good freinds, they pit together when John races GNCCs and he uses one of Chris' spare 450rs' when hes' XC racing. They have been teamed up for the 12hr race for the past three years. Natalie lives close by too, Chris lives 5 minutes away from me, but Natalie's home is only an hour away from my\Chris' house, so Natalie is always up here practicin with the Borichs'. Natalie is 100% good for the sport of ATV racing, he's VERY approacable and will talk to anyone, with no signs of arrogance. When Chris and John won the 12 hr race last November in Texas, John was on the podium being interviewed and he said something along the lines of "where's the GNCC champ, why aint he out here racing the 12hr race" and then he proceeded to challenge Bill Ballance to show up to the next 12hr race. Of course Ballance won't be there this year again, he had a team for a few years and placed 2nd behind Borich\Natalie everytime. So Bill quit racing the 12 hr races. So what I'm getting at is.... Borich\Natalie are very good freinds and they both publically dislike Bill Ballance alot. When Natalie accidently cut the course and got ahead of Bill, well.... thats when the bullshit started about John tryin to purposly slow down Ballance. From Ballances viewpoint it mighta seemed like it was a planned move, but I would be willing to bet everything that there was no malicious attempt from Natalie\Borich. I'v raced a XC race in extreme dusty conditions, the woods looked like they were on fire, the visibility was zero, you could only faintly make out the red of the tail light of the guy in front of you, and if the racer in front of you was 20 feet ahead of you, you couldnt see his tail light or even know there was a quad in front of you, its a really strange feeling when your racing in a dust race, you can't tell if the track is going to turn right or left, so you can't really get on the throttle hard or you'll be clippin' trees. And the dust bowl race that I did, there were guys all over the place making wrong turns and cutting the track, Iv seen a guy going the wrong direction on the track, he pulled over really quick when he realized he was goin the wrong way  . And Natalie is NOT a XC racer, so its really really easy to miss a turn or cut the track, most the these XC tracks zig-zag around, so one wrong move and you cut 40 yards off your race. Natalie would have had to know exactly where to cut the course to get in front of bill, would have to time it perfectly and would have had to do it in zero visibility conditions. Aint happenin. Now when Bill eventually caught up to John, there are no rules stating that John had to pull aside and let Ballance pass him, but with XC racing, when a faster racer comes up behind you and your slowing him down, your supposed to pull over. That little courtesy rule usually doesnt apply to two Pro racers, so John had no moral obligation to pull over and let Bill pass him. Lancems007 is my cousin' Lance. He's real good freinds with Chris and Joe Borich and he was all vocal at the beginning of the threads.... until the video was released, then everyone kinda got quiet  . jb500ex\Jamie Boughner is a loudmouth too, he's a big Chris Borich fan and dislikes Ballance, he shut up pretty quick too when the video was released. Jamie is the owner of CardioStack race supplements.

Razr II's are too damn heavy and not as sporty as most tires. The vast majority of XC racers race with the original Razr rear tires and Razr II's for the fronts. XC racing is basically trail racing, so these guys know whats best for agressive racing type action. The Holeshot GNCC tire is another good one and so is the Kenda Knarley XC you asked about. The Razr II's on the rear would be good if your looking for major straight-forward traction. The lugs are so tall and heavy and agressive on the Razr II's they won't allow the quad to slide around as much as the other sport tires iv mentioned. When the XC racers race a mud race.... they still don't use the Razr II's, the preferred tire for a mud-hole infested race is the I-razrs. I'd get the Knarley XC over the Razr II.

I don't think Natalie was workin' for Borich. I think that Chris walked the track... and he knew the course well enough to know NOT to take the line he did. I was dissapointed when I saw the video evidence, but I can also see makin' a split second desicision and it looks like he did that and that was a wrong desicision. Lets just hope Ballances' Yamaha konks out on him at the Ironman, its Chris' only hope. Ballance has to place 17th or lower for Chris to take the championship this year. It can happen.... just look at the race before this last GNCC where Chris blew out his rear shock and finished 17th. Fingers are crossed. I'll be glued to the computer come race day for the Ironman GNCC. I think Pappy said it best... "chris made a mistake no matter how you look at it, he shouldnt be run in the mud for it. he was penalized and we move onto the next round. ballance caught a huge break, thats racing. we move onto the next round" Here's the video clip... http://www.gnccracing.com/images/quickfill...2018/borich.mov And here's the 23 page controversy over at ATVRiders.com... http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php...threadid=319844
