  1. Borich takes the win at Loretta's today !!! Bill Ballance takes second and Matt Smiley gets third. Todays win gives Chris Borich the points lead now. Great to see Matt Smiley on the podium today, he was racing for team polaris the last two seasons and didnt have much success. He's on a Honda 450r this year and he's back in his old form.
  2. Round 5 is today, they're racing at Loretta Lynn's. The morning race is over and Traci Cecco won the morning Overall position. There's live coverage going on right now at atvriders.com, the Pro's are lined up and ready to go any minute. http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php...mp;pagenumber=1 Bill Ballance considers this his home track. We'll see if Chris Borich can win at Lorettas. If Chris can beat Ballance at this race..... we'll have a new Champ this season.
  3. You just need to slow down. your not a kid anymore. dont sell it.
  4. ya i was there when the plastic melted, the exhaust came apart. That happened in New Hampsire last summer. You shoulda seen us changing out that hot exhaust system. We threw the stock silencer on and won that race. That was a 6hr race. And ya, Jamie bougner is the gncc racer I was talkin' about. i wonder if he gave up on the kingquad now that hes riding a can-am ??
  5. yep the frame was amazing to see. I hope they got pictures because I didnt get any of the broken frame. We didnt even know the frame was broke till we got it home. The engine and skid plate were keeping that quad in one piece. So we had the exhaust system come apart, one of the A-arms came loose and egged out its mounting hole, and the frame broke in 5 places..... and we won !! I know of a guy racing a KingQuad in the GNCC series this year. He raced the first two races of the series on the KQ, and broke the frame on the second race. He switched to a Can-am for the last GNCC. Im pretty sure he DNF'ed at the first GNCC. We used to have alot of axle problems with the KQ. We had two KingQuads. The first one was a red one and that one was always snapping rear axles. If my cousin got a little bit of air, on the landing he couldnt give it any gas till the quad landed and was rolling.... if he got on the gas too quick and hard right after landing.... he'd snap an axle from all the torque. We got Gorrilla axles to hook us up with some heavy duty axles and we snapped one of those. We snapped a rear axle during a 6 hour race and put in a new axle in the pits. Ran for a awhile and snapped it. Since it was our only spare axle we took it off the quad and welded it. Threw it back in the quad and finished the race on a welded axle. Took about 15 minutes to pull it, clean it up, weld it, reinstall it and get the rider back out on the track. My cousin broke a few axles racing District 6 hare scrambles. For the 2006 season Suzuki sponsored us through TPC Powercenter and gave us a black '06 KQ to race. The black quad hasnt snapped an axle yet.
  6. 3. added info dlnoss has been here helping bansheehq members for many years, he's a sponsor and that money spent keeps this forum online. David Noss has sold alot of Banshee heads and there's never any complaints on these forums. I'v been running one of his heads for about 5 years now. It never leaks, never blows o-rings or anything weird like that. It just does its job. Iv had the head on and off the cylinders atleast 6 times since I'v owned it and it always comes right off and goes right back on without any giving me any trouble. I have a red anodized head and the color still looks like it did the day I bought it.
  7. Do you mean Lance ? I don't race , I work in thier pit crew. Lance is my cousin. Nyroc's site is the best for 4x4 guys. Check out the burnout on the podium video. These XC Utility quads are a lot of fun. http://www.thebansheezone.com/The%20Podium.wmv
  8. we raced a fully modded '06 Kingquad to first place in the 2006 Maxxis 12 hour race in Texas last October. Check it out~~~~> http://www.atvscene.com/machines/suzuki/kingkong1-07.html
  9. Borich Wins Again at Pirelli Big Buck GNCC Ballance and Bithell second and third Union, SC
  10. People don't like the electric starters on the new Honda 450's. They don't turn the motor over fast enough. Honda really messed up on this one thats for sure. The guys racing XC on 450r prefer the kickstart version over the E-start version and XC races are dead engine starts !! They tell me they can kick it over faster.... .... and the E-start on the Honda is something you'd expect from Polaris or somethin
  11. Chris Borich wins today !! Bill Ballance gets second place and Chris Bithell gets third. Borich and Ballance are now tied in points, each guy won two races now. Traci Cecco won the Womens class AND the morning race's overall #1 place.
  12. Exactly !! Brad knows what hes talkin about. I had the dual line setup and I didnt like it for the same reasons and I also figured there prolly wasnt any performance difference. I'd buy the T-style. Choice is nice tho, offer both styles.
  13. So your tellin' me that you cant type the words "bansheehq" or something similar to that over at PS without it being censored ??!! Your kidding right ?
  14. Next GNCC race is this Saturday, April 14th. Quads race on Saturday, bikes on Sunday. The race is the "big buck" race and its held in Union, South Carolina. Log onto Quadzone.com or ATVRiders.com for live race coverage. The morning race starts at 10 am, root for Traci Cecco and George Richards !! And the afternoon race starts sometime around 1pm, so root for Chris Borich and Tyler Lenig in the Pro class !!
  15. Me too. It has gotten better tho.
  16. finally got some pictures of muh jeep
  17. I ride with a camelback that has a bunch of pockets. Works great. I carry alot too. wire ties and tire plugin kit are always along. i got a pair of extra plugs. electrical tap. ratchet and buncha metric sockets and a set of metric allens. I also carry that two part expoy metal patch stuff. my boy used to ride a little KX60 for awhile and one day he layed it over and put a hole in the water pump cover. We were about 6 miles from home. Everytime you kicked the motor over, it would pump antifreeze out the cover. I mcgiver'd it. took a quarter and some of that ,expoxy and patched the hole. filled up the radiator with some stream water and got home no problem. the patch is still on. never leaked once. Its handy to have if you have the room to carry it. Master link are nice to have along too. I threw a chain on a quadracer and somehow lost the masterlink. I was 5 miles from home, all by myself and my chain was fucked. i tried using pieces of wire, but nothin worked. I walked home in the dark that day. I learned my lesson and i have a spare masterlink with me.
  18. Iv said if before and i'll say it again, this thread should be stickied to the top of the forum
  19. i had one, the armadillo one with the little gallon gas tank. it broke or helped break my banshees frame. Broke it right around the grab bar mount. My silencer snapped at the stinger tube when the frame broke. the Banshee was 12 years old tho, an '88 model. I almost always had the gallon gas tank full cause i'd burn through the gas so damn fast. I liked the rack till it broke my frame  . It was big and ugly tho, but I didnt care at the time, I wanted that extra gas can feature. Another big problem with the rack was it was in the way of my silencers. There was oil buildup all over the rack, the fmf PC2 silencers blew right at the rack. It was so wrong and ugly. The side of the rack had a little shield welded on to protect the gascan from the hot exhuast. The fmf silencers angle the gas downwards so that helped some, but the gap between the end of my silencers to the back of the rack was literaly one inch. If you have silencers that shoot the exhaust straight back and not downward, you'r gonna have an oily rack, not to mention a big peice of metal one inch from the exhaust. The design of the rack concerning the exhaust silencers is one of the worst design flaws I'v ever seen.
  20. someone else can resurrect it, that would be cool. Turn it into the site it once was, make it less home-made lookin   maybe in a few years i'll play around with a website again....
  21. Hell ya DMC your banshee was one of the first ones in the gallery. I had multiple pictures of yours, everytime you upgraded I changed or added pictures to your section. Hell ya man, alot of people seen your quad on the bansheezone i'll gaurentee that. I remember pictures in the snow with your yellow framed one.
  22. (sigh) I'm pretty well set on just lettin' her die out. If the site was goin offline in say November and I had all winter long to work on it I mighta changed my mind, but with spring time here and all the hobbies and activites I keep busy with, Im going to give up on the ol bansheezone. Besides all that, I'd have to switch my hosts again, and I thought it was easy the first time and let me tell you, I was so upset when I finally realized that I lost the site during the first transfer, I don't even wanna try that again. Its not so much the money part that is the deciding factor, even tho it does play a part, its a number of things that made me decide to let her fade away into history. I'v had a lot of good memories with that website, I'm glad everyone enjoyed it too. There are alot of good people in this hobby and I'v seen it first hand with the hundreds of emails and guestbook sigs I'v received over the years. But its time. Please everyone take anything you want from the site and use it however you like. Also, if anyone is interested, the URL www.thebansheezone.com will be avail soon.
  23. I was just at coal hill... but in my Jeep. It was raining out but there were still about a dozen people riding the hill today. Come on up and ride anytime. Open invitaion to everyone.
