  1. Yeah i drained the oil, it was a grayish color but i didnt see any metal shavings or anything. I'll run my magnet through the old oil see if i can get anything just to make sure.
  2. Damn, no i never did pull the clutch cover. I take it i'm gonna have to pull the motor, what should i be looking for in the crank?
  3. Where are the lower bearings located in my motor???? How much am I loking at in repairs???
  4. Ok fellas, I changed the gear oil and still the noise persists. While the quad is idling it revs just fine but when i try to take off it almost dies and i have to rev the shit out of it to keep it from stalling, then oncomes the grinding noise. I can feel the grinding throughout the quad, this is really bugging the crap out of me.
  5. The only way that a shee will run in the 100's is if you gear it that way, check your front and rear sprocket size. Stock geared shees should run about 72-73 mph stock gearing is 14 front and 42 rear
  6. Prices and pics????
  7. I did the compression test and they came out 110 in the left and 105 in the right, i'm prolly gettin close to a new top end i'm guessing??? I pulled out the dipstick and it's not all the way up on the crosshatched area, should i add more??? What kind of gear oil should i use??? I'm thinkin about goin with some royal purple 80w, whatcha guys think????
  8. That'd be the one on the right side with the dipstick right????
  9. Ok, I did the test and the left came out at 110 and the right at 105. I haven't ridden it much since I put my mods on, just been tuning. I took her out for a few hours one day and stomped some trx450's and a kfx 400. It's only been started and tooled around the yard a few times since and now it's making the rubbing noise. After i did the comp. test i put her back together and started it up. It runs great, when i'm slowly moving it starts the grinding noise again but only once in a while.
  10. It seems to only do it when i'm moving, is it better to check the compression when the engine is cold or warm??
  11. Got the dipstick today. Thanks Rigid!!!!
  12. Well today I got my shee out warmed it up and tried to take off and it bogged way down and almost stalled, I had to rev it pretty high to keep it movin. After a slow lap around the yard and a bit of sluggishness at about 1/4 throttle, a grinding noise started (Sounds like metal on metal) from the engine area. It only seems to do it at a low speed and RPM and its only every so often, part of me wants to think shee's gettin ready to blow since it's a 95 and still on the factory bore and pistons but another makes me think it's the clutch because of the way it bogs when i try to take off from a stop. I have a compression tester but its from Harbor Freight so i don't know how reliable it is, the last time i checked it had 115psi in the left and 113psi in the right and that was about 3-4 rides ago. I'm running 320 mains, needle on 3rd clip from top, 27.5 pilot and 2-2.5 turns out on air screw (not exactly sure how many) about 650 ASL If anyone has a clue as to what this horrible noise could be, let me know Thanks
  13. Just checkin the HQ before I hit up EGAY. So if anyone has one let me know
  14. Just wondering if anyone one had a spare flywheel puller they'd part with for cheap, or possibly just for the cost of shipping?
  15. That thing is Effin awesome!!! Back a few issues in dirt wheels they did a shootout with all the new 450's, the only complaints that the yfz got were a stiff thumb throttle and it wasn't fuel injected LOL Looks like Yami took care of that with this one
  16. Payment sent!!
  17. Hey Rigid shoot me your paypal addy and i'll send the payment.
  18. How much for the dipstick shipped???
  19. If I can't get one for any cheaper i'll hit you up about yours rigid
  20. Well this is the second time it's cross threaded on me, the first time i did what you did and used a mini screwdriver to put it back. It worked great until I pulled it out today, when I tried to put it back in it completely effed itself. Just lookin for a real cheap one
  21. I'm desperately in need of a dipstick, I cross threaded the shit out of mine and now I can't ride my shee  . If anyone has one they're willing to get rid of for cheap let me know.
  22. Let's Tar and Feather that wanker in front of the entire HQ and put him on public display!!!!
  23. Nice choice!! Yfz's are the shit too, i rode my buddy's old yfz and was pretty impressed. Yesterday I got to take my shee out for the first time, I walked ALL OVER a trx450 and a kfx 400. I have almost bald stockers on the rear and couldn't get traction until 3rd and he could only keep up until I hit 6th then i could pull a few lengths on him. There were quite a few trx's out there and 98% of them were complete a-holes, cocky sons of bitches they were. Kinda funny cuz they wouldn't even race me and neither would this girl on a 700R that did nothing but sit on her quad and talk shit. So my opinion of trx riders right now are that they are a bunch of ass clowns DO NOT join the A-hole fo fiddy club LOL Anywho enough of my rant, congrats on the awesome find!!!
  24. You'll have to find a known working compression tester and check both cylinders, if your under 100 psi your lookin at a top end rebuild  Was there a bog at any part of the throttle???
