  1. I put my bottom end back together the other day and dropped it in the frame, when i hooked the clutch back up there was no resistance when i pulled the clutch lever. I can't find out why it's not grabbing, the clutch push lever slides in and out. I think that may be the problem but i'm not sure how to fix it. Any help would be great
  2. Anyone??
  3. If anyone has a new clutch cover gasket they don't want or need let me know, figured i'd try the HQ and save a few bucks before I drop the 10 bones on one from ebay. Shoot me a price Thanks
  4. A while back my shee started acting up, it was making a horrible grinding/rubbing noise from the bottom end and when i put it up on a jackstand and shifted down it clunked and stuck in gear. I pulled the motor, split the cases and can't visibly see anything wrong. Is there any way of telling if the shift forks are bent slightly or if a bearing in the gear packs is bad. Any advice would be great
  5. Herrjugs does a drag port for 400, I think paying more than that for a less than drag port job would be a rip.
  6. You willing to sell just the timing plates?? How much??
  7. You willing to part out the motor??? I need a cheap trans
  8. Ok i got the cases split, and i cannot see anything visibly wrong. No shavings and nothing broke. I'm thinking it's the bearings in the transmission gears, because I can't see anything else that could be wrong. When I spin the gears it does make kind of a clunking sound. Whatcha guys think???
  9. I was hoping it wasn't going to be the transmission, but looks like im gonna have to tear into it anywho. When i get her apart i'll let you guys know what is up.
  10. You and I both man. I guess i'm gonna have to rip into it and take a look. Thanks for all your help shee
  11. Yeah at a low speed in first it would start the rubbing grinding noise, and would come and go. I could actually feel it in the bike when i was moving. It will start and run great, rev to the moon until i try and take off then i have to rev the crap out of it for it not to stall
  12. What could of caused the clunk? I don't think it's anything to do with the rods because it runs great, until i try and move then it starts shittin out on me and wants to stall.
  13. I had the rear end up on a jack stand, shifted it to try and find neutral and it clunked. That's when it became hard to turn the wheels over and i couldn't change gears even when moving the tranny.
  14. Yeah it seemed to shift just fine
  15. Yep everything was tight and no movement or wiggling, any ideas what it could be??? maybe a broken shift shaft or fork?
  16. Nope, I suppose i'm going to be tearing into the motor now right?
  17. I'm pretty sure something inside is royally fucked :shoothead: I had the rear end up on a jackstand and i shifted down once and it clunked and won't shift anymore, the shaft that holds the shifter now moves in and out. Also does the kickstart gear just pull right out??? Mine pulled out pretty easily and now i have it back in and it only kicks so far then stops.
  18. Ok the gear in front of the clutch has no wobble whatsoever, there is play in the clutch basket itself when i grab it and wiggle it. But when I grab the entire clutch it doesn't wiggle. I'm lost
  19. Oh and when I drained the old gear oil and put in the new, it took 2 quarts of it and it never seemed to go above the full line.
  20. I took the clutch cover off and didn't visibly see anything wrong or metal shavings or anything. I did notice that the kicker gear wobbled a bit and the gear behind the clutch wobbled also, I'm guessing that is the crank seal. Could either of these be the problem??
  21. Alright, I'm gonna take them off do what ya said and see what i can find. I'll report back with what i found Thanks a million
  22. When I take the cases off what should i be looking for? How do I know if a bearing is bad or going bad??? Also will i need to replace any gaskets or will i be able to use the old ones if I'm careful?
  23. You need a top end rebuild REAL BAD!! Minimum to make it run is about 90PSI I think standard compression is like 135
  24. Damn, . Thanks for all your help and suggestions shee. If anyone else can lend a helping hand please feel free, I need to get my shee moving again!!!.
  25. Ok I checked the oil, no shavings. Not knocking your suggestion shee but I can't see how a bad or going bad rod bearing would effect how my shee moved, just the way it ran. It revs just fine when i'm not moving, hence the reason i'm thinking it's something with the clutch. I don't want to tear into things that I don't have to and spend money that doesn't need to be spent, ya know?
