  1. This is why im asking this question. So, anybody have any info on this?
  2. Hey guys. Sort of have a multiple part question to ask. First, when doing a leakdown test on a Cheetah PV motor, do you do it with the powervalves installed or do you run the test with the block offs? Second, if you do the leakdown with the powervalves installed and they leak air, will this cause an issue with melting down the motor? Third, if the powervalves are leaking air and it will cause a problem, how do you fix them? (Mostly concerned with air leaking through the PV and out the jet) Thanks in advance
  3. Was your stock head just shaved down or was it shaved and rechambered? If you just had it shaved down you wont be able to run the same amout of compression as you would with a rechambered head/ smaller domes. So what elevation are you at? What type of fuel do you want to run?
  4. They are really easy to make. You can get almost everything you need from lowes or home depot. The rest from any auto shop. Im pretty sure there is a write up on here some where of how to make one. It cost $20-$30 bucks at most and take half an hour to put together.
  5. Great guy to deal with. Sent him a message about some crank gears and motor mounts that I needed. We agreed on a price, paypaled on saturday, and got the parts today (monday). Great, great seller
  6. Can you pm me pics and price?
  7. Hey guys. Looking for a few things and seeing if anyone has it. List of stuff I'm looking for: OEM crankshaft gears, primary and impeller gear. OEM front motor mounts with bolts Front exhaust mounts (frame to pipe) If you have any of this stuff let me know. Thanks
  8. So who has the best price for cheetah intake boots? The best price I have found so far has been $120 for the 38mm to 41mm boots
  9. I was hoping to not have to get new boots. The UPP intakes are not cheap. Im looking to buy some Boyesen reeds so I wanted to know what reeds to get.
  10. Thanks guys. I was just hoping to maybe get some help here instead of bothering a builder. I know they are busy
  11. Hey guys. I just bought a 472 cheetah topend and have a few questions about the intakes. 1. What intakes do the cheetahs use? Are they 250R intakes or CR250 intakes? If CR250, what year? 2. When I got the topend I noticed that the intake boots have a 1/4" hole in the top of them. What would someone do this for? 3. Is there a way to fix this without buying new boots? If yes, what would be the best way to fix it? Thanks in advance for the info
  12. Where do you ride? What kind of riding do you do?
  13. No offense but brand new stage 2 elkas are 995 from elka.
  14. Damn. I have used renthal on all my bikes and quads for the last 20 years. I raced mx and harescrambles with them. I have taken some nasty spills and havent even bent a set of renthals yet. Like windy said, are you tightening them down correctly with the brackets the right way? If you crush the bars none of them will hold up
  15. Before you tear down the motor do a leak down test. If you have an air leak you will smoke the motor in no time.
  16. Do you know what your elevation is?
  17. Hey. Have any pics?
  18. I prefer this type of killcord over the type you posted http://www.worldofcycles.com/productdetail.htm?productId=10033813&ez=Controls Tether Switches~q=fidaa91zztidaa1566zz~r=~
  19. Most guys will tell you Snap-on or Craftsman. I got the Craftsman set. It has pretty much any size thread you need and its a nice tester.
  20. I know when I compared my buddy's auto store tester vs my craftsman tester it was about a 15psi difference.
  21. You can screw up a topend in a matter of minutes. If your topend is toast then there is your problem but you need to find why it is smoked. Im not saying that your topend is smoked but the compression check will tell you if the topend is gone or not. Get a good tester on it and check your compression. When you are doing the compression check are you holding the throttle wide open and kicking til the needle stops moving?
  22. An air leak wont effect your compression.
  23. http://www.nossmachine.com/banshee_heads.htm Go to the bottom of the page and it has a chart for approximate compression for different domes and elevation
