  1. Coupelx did you ever get yours dynoed? Are you going to mention the power valve alternative?
  2. Does anyone have the bolt hole centers measurements for the rotax valves?
  3. http://www.boyesen.com/rad-valves-90.html
  4. I was just looking on Boyesen's website for some reeds when I noticed that they now make rad valves for bigger carbs. I think it was for 36-40mm carbs. Just wondering if anyone knew this and if anyone has tried them. Just curious if these would fair better against vf cages or not.
  5. Oh, stupid question. What reeds do the cheetahs use. Is it a 250r reed or a cr250 reed? If it is a cr250 reed, what year?
  6. So what's the alternative????
  7. I went and measured my banshee with the +3 arms and 3/2 rims. I'm right at 50.5"
  8. I'm almost positive that rpm has a lifetime warranty as long as you are the orginal owner and you fill out the registration card right away
  9. I run 15/40 with 22" tires. I always liked taller gearing then most. I suggested the +3 arms because he wanted a lot of wheel travel. I look at it as he has to decide what he wants more. He has some good info now and can decide what he wants.
  10. I wanted long travel arms and shocks for a better mx setup. I don't race hardcore like I use to to be totally honest. If I was sticking strictly to racing harescrambles I probably would have just done +2+1 arms and standard travel shocks. But like I said, I wanted a better mx setup. I don't have the money to build two quads so I have to build something for the best of both types of racing. I will agree with you, if he is riding extremely tight trails he should stick to a narrower stance but then he will be limited with wheel travel. He said he waned long travel so I posted what I'm running. Well here is something else you will give me shit about I'm sure. I like to run a 15 tooth front with a 40 tooth rear! Lol. Its all preference man. I like you Dave. I know you are a Damn good rider and I'm sure I couldn't hang with you on a mx track.
  11. Dude, really? Just because it's "local" harescrambles doesn't mean we "ride" at the local tracks. I race, and race hard man. I have been invited to race around the country just didn't have the money to do it. And are trails are far from wide. I'm sure my trails are just as tight if not tighter then in nc
  12. Also no offense but you can't tell how wide a quad is from a picture
  13. Dave, how many harescramble/gncc races have you raced? I have raced harescrambles in district 6 over the last 20 year's. District 6 is eastern pa where it is actually very tight trails. I'm not out riding fireroads at all. I did just measure my front end. I have 3/2 offset rims and I'm right at 50 1/2 inches. I switch to 4/1 rims and I'm at 48 1/2. Yes, a little wide for super tight trails but I do race mx also. So I'm not too worried about it. For reference to what you said about pros running +1 arms, a stock yfz450x is sitting at 46.5" with +1 arms that's sitting the quad at 48.5"
  14. Dave, to be fair, the quads that the pros are running are already sitting at 48" wide from the factory. So the race quads are sitting around 49"~50". If you run the +3 arms with 4/1 offset rims you will be right there.
  15. Here is a couple pics of my setup. I had stock arms with 450 shocks. Some shots to compare
  16. Be aware that if you buy a head used that there are two different heads and domes. There is an old style and new style. I had they old style and ordered domes from a builder. Got the domes and they were the new style. Had to buy a new shell
  17. I looked for a long time. I only found one company that made billet heads for the cheetah. But they have been out of business for awhile
  18. I have the fireball +3+1 long travel arms with 19 1/4 inch elka stage 3 shocks. I haven't measured the actual travel but from fully extended to fully compressed is huge. If you need more travel then what these provide, you need to look into custom frames or a totally different quad
  19. Unless you can find a used one, you only have one option for a cheetahs head. You have to use the one through trinity. If you need a head and domes, get the domes cut from a builder other then trinity
  20. Everything looks perfect with mine. Brand new and installed pretty much right away. Mine only leaks after I give it throttle. I'm guessing at about 1/8 throttle on it starts bubbling out. I have never seen this before. I did have a thought that maybe bad reeds could be allowing an air flow back into the carbs but I could be totally off on that.
  21. Any updates on this? I'm having the same problem with my 39 PWKs.
