Ventura Raceway, Ca Will host 6 Races this year!
someone82 replied to someone82's topic in Flat Track/TT
Yeah it's at the fairgrounds. I don't know how the sign up procedure is going to be done. I would assume they might make this a points type series and if so you would have to become a VRA (ventura Racing Association) Member for the 2010 season. If they are doing it as just exibition racing there will be a pre-registration form setup probably a month in advance before the actual races. I will keep everybody updated as the news, rules, sign-ups, pay-outs, etc are released. Probably not much information will not be made public until the 2010 VRA season meeting which will be held in february. I just know that currently there will be 6 races; 4 during ventura's flat track shows and 2 during the regular sprint car shows. The more the riders we can get, the greater the chance of there being more then just 6 races! -
Ventura Raceway, Ca Will host 6 Races this year!

No I don't have any pictures from the last race. I've been trying to hunt down who the photography that was there last time. Well it's hard to state what the rulling will be since this will the be the first year quads will be back to run a season since the '80s. The last race we ran was during one of ventura's big flat track shows, so you ran on de-comp on the big track and dirt/clay on the road course. Ventura's normal track surface is a dirt/clay mixture, it doesn't hold up and usally goes dry slick, even when sprint car's arn't running in reacent years. I will assume it's going to be an open class since 4 of the race dates are going during the full flat track shows (speedway, mx, pit bikes, you name it! - all amature classes) and 2 of the races are going to be combind with sprint car shows. At the last show everything from full blown flat track quads to stockers ran and I know that's what the track promotor is going for so bring your hoosiers or turf tamers your choice I'll keep you updated on the dates as soon as they are released, which will probably not be till next feb after the 2010 season meeting. -

I decided to throw together a quick gearing chart for myself and I figured I would post it as to help people figure out their gearing. For those that don't know: Higher the Ratio = quicker acceleration, less top speed, shorter gears Lower the Ratio = slower acceleration, more top speed, longer gears If you want I can include some more gears, i just put together the chart with what I have

My local and famed Ventura Raceway ("best little dirt track in america") will have 6 quad Flat Track races this year. I ran the one show they had in september with my 700r this year and it was a blast running the famed 1/5 mile banks. If anyone local wants to give it a shot I highly recommend coming out next year. The only thing is you don't run the full oval, they are planning to have a road coarse as part of the track (same as the show I ran in sept). Kinda like TT but with out the jumps, but you still run all the big turns and the front strech on the main track. Once the dates get released I will post them here. I would love to have some more 2 strokes out there as I only know of one other rider besides myself that will be on one.

As the title states I'm looking for 19cc domes for a pro design style head, I have 21's that I would trade as well.

Like T-shee said, don't worry about it, hell my bike has a "'98" motor in it, my new frame was originally registered as a '91. I came to find out it was a new un-stampped frame from Yamaha, and now my bike is registered as a 2009 Special build bike by the state of california....

2nd that, great seller, FAST shipping! Thanks

is the seal on the opposite side hub still in good condition? If so you can probably read the part number off of it and get a replacement from you local auto-parts store. Or just contact lone star at www.lsracing.com

From bikebandit.com it is part number: 353409-001 - $6.76

Air leak = lean out condition = hole in piston; did you leak down the motor after it was rebuilt?

I use engine ice in all of my bikes. I have also used strait water with water wetter too. I haven't had any problems with either choice.

I'm trying to help out a friend, he is wanting to know what the overall length of a stock banshee axle is? Could someone take a measurement for me as I've never even owned a stock axle... thanks

What is everyone using for their 10" wheels? I've been looking around and all I can find are the Hiper wheel covers and standard plugs for smaller wheels. Thanks, Matt

Ventura is 1/5 mile track that can be very racy. At ventura we run a 360ci class motor which is; cast iron chevy based 350 blocks w/alum heads, mechanical hilborn or kinsler style fuel injection, ASCS restricted gasket between the head the intake manifold, sucking down methanol, and putting out somewhere between 620 and 650 horsepower to the wheels with a direct drive setup (no transmission, clutch etc... your either in gear or not). We also run with USAC/CRA which runs a 410ci all aluminum block/head (Chevy, Mopar, or Ford) combination putting out 750 to 900 horsepower. Where did you brother race?

Thanks and yeah danny did flip hard, looked like some thing broke in the rear end when he set the car into 3, then esponoza ran into him after the car landed. Thankfully he got out ok. Car looked junked tho. It was a night of carnage and heart break for allot of drivers. check out the videos of the main here: - Part 1 - Part 2 That's what I'm talking about!

While it's not a quad race by any means, here is a shot of my self and team/driver in the winners circle after winning a once a year 5k to win sprint car race at ventura raceway, ca. Some how I managed to keep my shirt clean all night, a hard feat to say the least....

Could you send pictures of the front rims to [email protected] What offset are they? Thanks, Matt
-
Looking for a set of 4+1 front wheels. I would prefer a set of douglass blue labels or a equivalent, but I'm open to anything. No tires.

Lost my crossover tube, whats a temporary repair?
someone82 replied to blaster2006's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Do you have a Volkswagen shop near you, if they work on classic bugs/Vw's, they should have one available. The sync tool is a standard tool for type 2 & 3 Volkwagens (Buses, Wagons, Karmagia).
