I saw this one clip on YouTube of this old man loading a quad into a truck. Rolled off the back and it fell over on him. Shit like that scares me more than riding itself. I did the same thing. I tried for like 20min to get it to go on the inside of the plate and then put it on. LOL....Had to hit someone up on here for advise.

Only use the new plates, and fibers. No need for the old rubber cushions, fibers, and plates.

Not to long ago on eBay, I seen a 1987 go for around about that. It was a mint, never started, did not even have gas in it. The guy had it sitting in his office as a collectors prop or something. Maybe if you keep it mint 20+ years from now, it will sell for that.

I know I am guilty. I will go around the block once a week so the bike is not sitting. I just get on it and go in whatever I got on. It is funny b/c if I am out riding, I will wear my helmet and gear even if I am just putting around camp in 2nd gear. I guess we get comfortable at home and don't think twice about what-if's.

I would say nerfs, a set of rims/tires, bars and cut the plastic yourself it would be a whole new bike. But motor work is not that much do a little at a time. Suspension is what cost a grip and it is all at once.

I know Blacksunshine, I was just messing around. :biggrin: Domes are what makes the coolhead a "head". It is a 3 piece system, domes, top and bottom plate. All 3 parts are a must. It replaces your old head. Your old head has domes built into it and is all 1 piece. Water flows around the top of the head to cool it off. Same as stock, only the water chambers are bigger and it is all billet so it runs cooler. Now the size of the domes are up to you and the mods, gas, and what you intend to run. Most go with 21cc domes. This is better than stock, but still safe in most areas for compression. If you do not plan on getting your motor worked, and you have not reason to change compression often. The alternative is have your stock head decked/shaved to drop the compression. It runs 50-80 bucks in most cases. IMO it is worth buying a cool head. Even for simple mods like timing, heat is added and the cooler the head, the better. Go with the NOSS Head. No changing out heads bolts.
