  1. Thats one good thing about the bad economy, if you got the cash you can get some damn good deals.
  2. Apparently it did its job. Helmets break, I dont think any warranty applies to damage caused by a crash.
  3. I've always wondered why we dont do that. We do it on my treasure hunting forums once in a while for equipment and it seems to work out good, you save a little. It all depends on our sponsor's profit margin's and if they could actually get a big enough discount on the item . Keep in mind that on a site like this you'd probably be talking 50 or so people maximum getting in on a group buy for say like a set of pipes or serval cylinders and I doubt there would be much savings. It also takes alot of advance notice to get people in on it so the sponsor can know how many to order and then not get stuck with a bunch of inventory he has to sit on. It has to be a pay in advance type a deal. On the other hand, for short production run stuff its the best way to get a good deal on it.
  4. Thats a beautiful 87, their still my favorite looking original banshees.
  5. I'd be interested if I had the money. Thats a sick bike, I wanted it the first time I saw it.
  6. Thats cool.
  7. It can be done without splitting the cases to get you by temporarily if you had to but I wouldnt recommend it. Just do it right.
  8. I've got my spot rented for Wed. the 5th through Sunday the 9th so if understand it correctly I can check in at 5:00 pm on the 5th and have to leave at 5:00 pm on Monday the 10th. I hope I didnt misunderstand it because I dont want to have to leave on Sunday.
  9. Thanks man, it would be nice to follow someone there. I'd hate to get lost.
  10. The motor sure needs help but you scored on that deal. Those are good carbs.
  11. I always wanted a Porsche, someday it'll be a 911 turbo.
  12. Old J Arm, Looks good !
  13. Ok I'm going but still need a trailer of some kind. I've got plenty of time. I was going to bring a couple people and at least 4 bikes but fuck'em ( not buttfuck'em), they can sleep on the ground.
  14. Is that how you roast your little weiner? I actually have spot 141 but if I dont get a motorhome with an enclosed trailer or a toyhauler by then I'm not going and it will be an empty spot.
  15. I actually bought it to drive back and forth to work. It gets low to mid 30's if you drive it nice. Just a non turbo 944 but it'll take corners as fast as you'd ever want to.
  16. Somebody else will have to help you with the 2 into 1 because know nothing about them and dont want to. Was it a reputable builder that ported it, if so they should at least give you the timings or you can figure it out with a degree wheel. Your going to need some type of a starting point for your jetting. I dont know your elevation but I think a 230 main would be lean where I'm at. get your float set right first.
  17. It's very possible that your float level is messed up now and running your bowl dry but it would have to be off quite a bit. I'm not familiar with setting up a 2 into 1 so cant give any jetting advise. I'd set the needle in the middle posision for starters and just leave your plate alone for now. Find out the proper float height and set it where it should be before you do anything. How aggressive a port did you get?
  18. Thats the rare Ram Air Edition Banshee.
  19. Duneable override is nice but I sure miss 6th gear. Sadness.

  20. I like the looks of the front fenders. I have 2 bikes that came with cut fenders, one with fullbore plastic, and my favorite one is uncut. I wont cut them unless they get broke.
  21. Thanks guys, I'll be taking it to the radiator shop in a couple days. It didnt come this way, I think the kid poked it with something.
  22. I got a little pinhole in my brand new oversized radiator, how would you recommend fixing it ?
