he was too cheap to buy the puller. my dumb ass buddy did the same thing. his does still work fine but who know if its good for it or not. just make sure the burs wont hit anything.
i have my set done with 1 and a quarter inch carbides from sleds. around 100 in the rear and 144 in front. didnt need that many but had them around so i used them. those are the best to use. the bolt will wear down way too fast for the work it takes. tried it. i lined them with some extra rubber to prevent any wear that would puncture the tube. they say keep it filled with about 10 psi to keep the tire from spinning on the rim and ripping out the valve stem. ive ran these for the past 2 years with no problem. i can ride wheelies on the ice with no problem and some of the slede heads are shocked when i pull past them. but for sure use some carbides. it takes some time to do this so do it right. also they work alot better on the ice. just in snow coverd ground is so so.
it sounds like its due. i bought a 96 that was all stock untill last year. i didnt check the compression but after 12 years it was definatly due. mine was the same way but you could hear piston slap from the wear.
are these the same cases? is there anything diffent in the cases themselves for an rz350? i can get a set for $65 with no breaks. thought it would be good deal for backups if they are the same.
sand is the WORST thing for ANY engine. the LAST thing you want to do is turn it in any way shape and form without cleaning the living shit out of it. it doesnt take much at all to ruin a bearing and running with no filter at all surely sucked in alot more than you can belive. i would change it all if it was me. but good luck with which ever route you take.
air wont affect anything with heat in the trans. there is a vent that allows air movement to begin with. change the seal to keep the dirt out like the others said.
compression tested fine. 110 at both cylinders. had heat on to about 50 for about and 2 hours and started after 20 to 30 kicks. ran fine. gonna let it cool back down to too damn cold and try again. crossing my fingers.
anyone ever run this? it has an outerwears prefilter cut into the lid. i fashioned up my own today and just wonder how the airflow is through it. stock lid doesnt let my bike breath enough so i thought i would try this.
ok all bowls are correct. double checked that. carbs are very well cleaned. every nook and crany. all lines and slides correct. havnt checked compression yet. only problem is starting. when its warmed up it runs like a raped ape. ill check the compression and get back.
