  3. alright, put brass tube into the carb and kicked about 100 times and still nothing. its about 20 out so maybe its just the cold. anyways, anyone have an idea of what i can look for?
  4. mostly trai riding with maybe a dune trip. elevations is about 600 to 700, jetted at 290 mains, 30 pilots, +4 advance, fmf gold series, boyeson power reeds, 40 over, stock port, wiseco prolite pistons, k+n proflow kit, usuall ride between 60 and 90 degree weather with this one. and i think thats it with that.
  5. where would i find it? i did blast them real good and baked the paint i had but obviously it didnt work. never seen white pipes before. would look sweet on my 87.

  7. thought that would be the prob. but wanted to check anyways. ill try that and see what happens.
  8. jsut got an 87 in the fall for $70. great deal. anyways, its impossible to start if the engine is below 50 deg. if i have the heat on till it warms up it usually starts within 3 kicks. i know its missing the brass tube in the bowl for the choke. would this be my leading cause or could it be something else? everything is stock besides the pipes. fmf gold series.any ideas? pretty hard to ice race when it wont start. lol.
  9. just got cool head today with 20 cc dome. was told it was 21 but found out they were 20s. anyway, compression is at 150 deadnuts on both cylinders. just want to know if this will affect by jetting from what it was with 118 psi, and if its still safe to run pump gas. usually run 93 or 94 so want to stay with it.

  12. ive seen problems like this where the wire harness was melted by the pipe along the airbox. one place to check. happend to me and two others i ride with.
  13. anyone know what the best finish to put on a pipe is? want to cover the rust but the 2500 degree paint i used still burns off. just looking to see if anyone found something that works.
  14. if you run the same size tire just on an 8 rim, whats the point of regearing?
  15. from what ive seen a good used motor isnt much cheaper than a rebuild. also there is no telling how long a used one will last. rebuild would be the best bet if your looking for a long runner. parts can be found cheap online now days. good luck.
  16. also would this affect my jetting? or will it still burn as it is with a stock head? i know it will give it higher compression but dont know what else will need to be done.

  18. what compression are you running? i heard that you need to be around 150 or lower for pump gas. just dont wanna blow it again. gets expensive!!! lol.
  19. getting a cool head and want to get the dome size right. running 93 octane pump gas, bored 40 over, piped and jetted right. elavation is around 600 to 700 im guessing. mostly trail ridding no racing. i think 21 cc would be fine but want the expert opinion here. im just looking for better cooling. engine runs hot and spits a little coolant every now and again. not boiling just a little spurt. any help would be great. thanks.
  20. im looking to get a cool head and just want to see what setup i should go with. i have fmf gold series pipes with turbine core silencers, running 290 mains with 30 pilots not sure of needle. it came with the kit. boyeson power reeds with spacers. usually run 93 pump gas. just want stock really with better cooling. also timing is advanced 3 deg. what size domes would work best?
  21. got ahold of everything except an air filter. if anyone has a k$n with flang and prefilter for a resonable price let me know.
