  1. when you pull the clutch pressur plate off you will see the hollow part of the shaft where the adjuster goes into. tha is where the ball and rod are. if you can get it out through there with a good magnet you wont have to split the case. im my case i ded because it was too mangled. good luck.
  2. watch using a torch on parts like the axle. getting it red hot will take the strength out of the steel.
  3. and i thought my 87 roller was bad when i found it.
  4. they are water repelent but not water proof. if you ride in a good amount of water, nothing will stop it from sucking into the carbs. running under water with no suction doesnt prove that it wont allow water through. just that it will repel some of it.
  5. well the problem was that when i would stop for a break after a hard ride, it would spit just a little bit out of the overflow. just a little hot but not boiling or nothing. just want a cool enough to stop it.
  6. i had a problem of high temp last season and want to fix it. so far i put on a cool head and mega flow impeller. i havnt had it out yet because im waiting for better temps to jet it correct. i heard engine ice coolant will help out alot with cooling. is it worth the try or should i be good with the mods now? just curious if its worth it.
  7. dont worry about the stiffness if cable was lubed. the heavy springs mean more pressure on the clutch plate for a little better grip and a tired hand.
  8. it is also possible that you have heavy duty clutch springs. if it pulls smooth but is stiffer you are fine. just the springs. they can be changed to stock if you want it easier but nothing to worry about.
  9. theres only two points that coolant can get into the case. water pump seal and the oring on the tube where it slides into the clutch cover. one of them are leaking no matter how you look at it. i would replace both of them and be done with it.
  10. Sea Level 1000' 2000' 3000' 4000' 5000' 18cc 197 178 171 170 165 145 19cc 183 167 160 158 152 137 20cc 169 156 149 146 140 129 21cc 156 145 138 134 128 121 stock 130 125 118 112 106 100 around 155 psi and under you should be fine on 93 octane.
  11. space has no play. it jams against the inner part of the bearing. if the bearings are in all the way you shouldnt have a problem make sure everything is seated right. im sure you have but thats all i can think of. i dont remember having any problems when i put mine together a couple of weeks ago. are you sure they are the correct bearings?
  12. did you try using a mallet? bearings are tight on the axle sometime. should go on all the way if the are in the carrier right.
  13. i have thos 2 sets but only need one. just wanted to see what might be the better of the 2.
  14. had same problem before untill the gear oil finally worked its was into them again.
  15. what pipe should i keep for trails? gnarly or fatty?
  16. looking for stock clutch cover with trinity quick change cover. lexan a plus. also cheap rear caliper, blue tank cover, stock key switch with key
  17. so far they have been great everywhere ive rode. i stick to everything i take on. the only downfall is you cant take any quick uturns to turn around but tracks are one way anyways so doesnt happen too often. takes a hell of alot to lose traction.
  18. if you spend some time looking online youll find everything you need to put it back together. parts are cheap when you look for the deals. when talking about a bike engine you have to factor in all the electronics, mounts, lining it all up, and how in the hell are you going to pipe it right. your safer fixing what you have. good luck if you go the other route.
  19. heres the set up i run. carbide will last a hell of alot longer than those bolts. also on the ice having nothing in the front will give you hell trying to turn. i would recomend this if you plan on ice riding alot in the future. good job though.
  20. i ride tight trails mostly so it would be pointless to gear it for speed. just want something that lasts.
  21. whats the best chain and sprocket combo? sticking with stock since it suits me just fine. just want to know the best to get for wear.
  22. they run on a waste spark system which means that both wires fire at the same time. 2 sparks per stroke. either bad coil wire or plug boot.
  23. i made the frame out of a piece of diamond plate i had laying around. then just cut another prefilter open to stretch it accross. i figured why spend 50 when i can build it for 15. not show quality but should function the same i would think.
  24. thats where i got the idea from. just wanted a little more area.
  25. ok i got it now lol.
