Hey guys, Im wondering if anyone runs these elkas that are on ebay. I know they are bottom of the barrel for elkas, but anything else is way out of my price range. They are decent though arent they? I got a red grill cover just sitting here, got the gas tank covers too. You still need one? Will have tie rods soon aswell, but I think you got the covered.

Right, I have it jetted for around 30 degrees. I havent ridden in it much colder than that but there was a 20 degree day or two in there. When its in the 30's it runs freakin insane. I have kept it like this because I knew that if it was a 50 degree day like today it will be rich, so I figured it would be alright. I keep thinking that I am just rich on my needles but I dont understand why it just starts in the middle of a ride and not right away. Thats what is stumping me.

Ok, I need to see if I can explain this. For the most part the shee runs amazing. I finally feel like I have the jetting dialed in and everything. Has lots of power and never misses a beat EXCEPT! Every now and then, like might be today or tomorrow or could happen next week I will get a spudder in the mid throttle area. It doesnt even seem to be temprature related or anything. Thats the best way to explain it I guess is just a spudder with no power. If I power through it the topend seems fine, but it wont go away. Now, its wierd cause if I shut it off for say 10 minutes and go ride again it is fine. Oh also, it never does this right away it is always after around 15 minutes of really hard riding. I let it warm up and all that, so there is no way it is just getting up to temp. I pulled the plugs and they do seem pretty pale in color, but that is about 2 months of riding on them in all different temps, so I dont want to count them, but this is the only reason I think I am lean. I thought maybe I am rich on the needle jet, cause thats how it acts but wouldnt it be rich right when I start it up? Why would it take so long to happen? I also sprayed around all the boots and everything to make sure there isnt an airleak and all checked out. Could reeds be another factor? I still have the stock ones and I would say it is time to change them since they are from 96! lol. Im pretty stumped guys, any help is appreciated. I dont have time today but I was gonna try messing with the needles and see it that helps, but it happens so randomly I dont know if I will be able to pinpoint what has fixed it. thanks guys

Well Ill tell you what, I just got mine in the mail. I havent taken enough time to mount it yet but just putting it up to the swingarm the tabs wont go inside or outside either. It looks like it has to be mounted with one side on the inside and one side on the outside. Not sure which way, but thats what I got. Im gonna play with it more tomorrow. I have a stock swingarm too.

I have done a lot of searching but I can only find a few references to these reed cages. Who runs them and are they worth getting? I have heard good things about porting your stock cages and using their replacement reeds but I noticed on their site that they have a modified stock reed cage with reeds for 100 bucks. I know everyone like V forces but I cant afford new ones, but am still looking for some 2's at a reasonable price. Also, I mainly triail and mx ride not drag. thanks

Mine does this sometimes when it is really cold. Once it warms up it is fine though. Does it do it everytime or just cold? Could be a slightly clogged pilot or something.

You using firefox? It happens to me every now and then. I just clear the cache and it fixes it.

Yeah I am wiring the headlights to just stay on when the bike is on. I know I can close the circuit up soon on the harness then in the picture, but I guess what I am making sure of is that I need to wire the yellow to the black. I know I need to wire the two yellows from the switch together but wasnt sure if the other part was necessary. I guess now that I look at it it isnt necessary right? I can just snip the yellow that runs to taillight and forget about it. If the black wire from the stator will complete the circuit. I think I am getting confused over something very simple

Cause the bulb with power just completes the circuit so I could just complete it myself...make sense right?

Ok, I am shrinking down my harness and I have cut out all of the tors and the kill switch. I want to just have the high beams on at all times. Using the electrical diagram from the FAQ's it shows to just run the lights to the rear taillight to complete the circuit. I dont have a taillight so could I just complete the circuit by splicing the yellow to the black? I drew a red line on the picture to show what I mean

When I bought my bike it came with a honda thumb throttle already on it. Its really easy to push. I have ridden a few stock banshees and the honda throttle seems to be way easier. Plus its smaller and looks nicer.

Im looking for a urethane skid plate. I am planning on getting one from rockymountain on the next order, but wondering if anyone has one laying around they dont want. Thanks

Man thats got to be it. I have no idea what company would think this would fit on both. This thing is a pretty big bumper I couldnt imagine it on the front of a blaster. It would be as wide as the tires! thanks for the help
