Ok guys, this has been going on for some time now. On really hot days after I have been riding for about 15 to 20 minutes I start getting a really serious low and mid range spuddering. Before this though I swear it runs amazing. Runs perfect. I really feel my jetting is spot on. I am going to do a plug chop the next time I am out though. Needle is middle clip. (I leaned the jetting out on the screws and needles, but reading the plugs it seemed it was too lean so I put it back.) When it starts to do it I will stop and let it sit for 10 minutes or so and then it will run fine again for awhile until about 10 minutes down the trail. Im getting frustrated cause I have replaced most of everything. I have a new stator in, new (used) coil, changed plug caps. I even pulled the timing back to stock. I then decided it was the cooling system, changed out all fluids to water and water wetter and got an aluminum impeller. It has improved slightly but still does it. What stumps me is that the radiotor is not boiling over or anything, there hasnt been any water come out the over flow tube. So what else is there that could be getting hot? Could the CDI be going out? I really feel like it is electrical now because Im not boiling over coolant. Any help is appreciated guys, cause I dont even like to take it out cause Im affraid something is going to melt down on me. thanks

ASR makes a few different once for a great price. http://www.amstarmanufacturing.com/index.html I hear mixed reviews but I think its mainly due to customer service, but for the price I think I am gonna try them next. -
Which screw on the bottom are you talking about exactly? And on the top are you talking about the dial? thanks

If the thread is 16mm X 1.5 I am pretty sure that the ricky stator balljoints will work. I just installed these on my bike and they are BEEFY. They are very nice, top quality. They were a step up from what I had on there before and I cant believe I was riding around on such small balljoints. http://www.rickystator.com/catalog/product...;products_id=51 check them out, price is right too

same here, I freakin love these tires. Was thinking about trying the Irazr's on the front next.

All my buddies use it in their dirtbikes and love it. They run it 40:1 cause they are pussies though. I have ALWAYS used the Belray MC-1 50:1 for about 6 years now and I have only redone my topend once and never had any problems.

There was a thread awhile back about this one too. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.a...mp;autoview=sku Anybody running it? and liking it?

I am looking for a NEW impeller. Just wondering if anyone has one sitting around. Pro design or torch works please. thanks

Do you guys notice any performance changes when it gets hot? I think I am having heating issues but I am not boiling over. But after a 15 minute ride or so my bottom end just goes to shit. It sputters and doesnt have much power but my topend is fine. It acts like it is running pig rich on the bottom but it doesnt start until I have been riding for awhile, so I am pretty sure its not the jetting.

Very nice man. I will be buying one for sure. I think it is a great way to learn all the little tricks that you may not know or also learn from scratch for newbies.

Ok, I think I have been thinking about this too much or something, but I have a re-built stocker on the rear of the shee. It works alright but I feel like on bigger jumps it still bottoms out way to easiely. So there is two options to adjust it, turn the rings clockwise and it compresses the spring which in turn will make it stiffer but not have as much travel. Or turn it the other way and have more travel but the spring can compress easier. Im sure there is more to it then this, but Im wondering how others set theirs up. thanks

That depends, how tall are you and do like the hieght of your bars now? based on that then do your research on where your new bars will put you at and decide from there. There is no real formula for it. I am 6'5 and I baught CR double high bend bars and then added a ROX 2 inch riser on as well. It is close but I think I would like another 1/2 to 1" rise.

Im disagreeing with anyone, but werent a lot of outboard motors 2 strokes? I have always wondered how they sustained being at WOT all the time. Cause really thats the only way to drive a boat any distance is WOT until you get there. An hour isnt even unheard of on my lake. Just wondering what the differences are.
-
Which do you guys recommend? They come out to about the same price, the shaft being a little more if I dont send in mine. Is there a difference in the two? will I notice if both are installed or is it a waste of time? also, how hard is it to install the shaft? Im not taking my engine apart or anything. I know the star can go on without much work. thanks for the help

Banshee Giving Me Electrical Problems
rtcc replied to Infamous039's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
What are you uising for a kill switch? Do you still have the stock light and kill switch on the bars? Cause mine shorted out on me once, and after redoing everything I realized that was it. Try bypassing it with a lanyard killswitch or something. -
Well I know one thing, the last time I rode was at the dunes and there was some SERIOUS whoop sections and we hit those ALL the time. As fast as I could. So 5 days of hitting really hard whoops might have done something to them, or could just be a coincidence. Either way they are both getting replaced!
-
so I dont get it, why is it a dangerous place? Just because it is nothing but drunk people there? Why arent all dunes like that?

Hey guys, I noticed today that my rear sprocket is starting to hook pretty bad. Is this caused by chain adjustment or is this how it normaly should wear? thanks

prices are negotiable!

Thats the thing, it was a lucky break. I had been hauling ass all day long on some rocky stuff and then going down the road in second gear and bam. The rim didnt even fall off all the way, the caliper held it on, so it was very uneventful really, but still scares me when I think of what else I had been doing that day.

Was riding yesterday and was sliding around a downhill gravel turn and I here a POP! I though I had broke a tierod end but when I came to a stop I realized the whole damn spindle broke. I luckily have a full spare set but its kinda scary. Cause I dont know how you are supposed to check for stuff like that. pics.
