Hey guys, When I have my bike off the ground and spin the rear wheels it wont ever go around one full rotation. I just put on a brand new chain awhile ago, but it is really lubed and I dont think its the problem. I can hear the brake dragging on the rotor but I dont know how to correct it. I have bled the brakes. Is there any other adjustment I can do or is something else causing a problem? Oh, they are brand new pads as well. thanks

yeah I have tried several different routes, but it doesnt matter cause the slack has to be taken up from the ends. From the ends to where the sleeve starts. SO UPDATE! I ripped into the case and tried adjust the clutch lever even though it was lined up perfectly. I adjusted it and now its about a 1/4" inch back from where it should be. Its on the stator side of the arrow and the slack is perfect. But I cant tell if it is engaging all the way. When I pull in the clutch I can roll it but it has some resistance when it rolls. I have been thinking so hard about this now that I cant remember what normal was! It will roll but you can tell the engine still wants to turn over some. so what would be causing this problem??? thanks

I mean honestly thats exactly what its like. I dont have the stocker though A lot of guys are running these levers though I think. Its the ASV F1 or one of those.
-
sweet thanks! Did you have it rebuilt for your bike? Do you think I would have to ask for anything different during a rebuild?
-
nothing, just dont want the down time during the rebuild and warrior shocks are way cheaper than banshees on ebay. Plus I thought it might be cool to have the remote reservoir instead of the piggyback. I was just thinking. thanks

Ok also when I push the clutch arm on the case toward the clutch side, it stops pretty much right on lined up with arrows, but it is rock solid right there. I cant push it any farther with my fingers. the cable is motion pro from rockymountainatv and had the right part numbers, I know its not the cable. The old cable was the exact same way. please give me any ideas you guys have. I dont know what to do?

Hey guys, When I bought the bike the clutch cable seemed to long for the aftermarket lever it had on the bars but I just thought it was a problem with the lever. So I got a new clutch cable and a asv universal lever and it is still to long! Ok so when its installed in the clutch lever on the case and I pull the lever side it moves fine and everything, but its like end of the cable to where the casing starts is too long. So the lever doesnt have enough pull to actually pull the clutch cable tight. Is there another adjustment somewhere that I am missing? pleas help Ive been waiting on these parts for awhile and I want to get this thing going, thanks! Terry yes I searched but nothing came up

Does anyone have one on there bike? I have searched and found a few posts but no one has gotten an answer if they work or not. That was a few years ago though. Just wondering if I can get one rebuilt as my rear shock. Thanks

I ride in tons of rocks and dirt and have always used the razrs. I havent tried the 2's yet but I have the older ones in 6 ply and they are bulletproof. They are so awesome.

jetsrus.com they rule.

simple ..Yes or no on Tors ..I know I know!

That seems messy??? Why all the cutting and taping. The black box has a plug, cant you just unplug that? I did and it runs?? -
alright thanks, I will cross check with some other compression testers and see what I find, then I will decide if I can tear it down and send it out. No I dont have any advanced timing, everything is stock. Im at 1500ft elevation so I think Ill be alright with 93. If it detonates Ill get some higher stuff.

Hey guys, ok so for the last few weeks I have really been trying to get my jetting right and after numerous plug chops and trial and error I think I have her set up almost perfect. She runs really good through all gears and I can hit the trails and mid throttle stuff without fouling plugs like I used to. I havent got a bunch of time on it but probably 10 rides of about 30 minutes each. Whats wierd is my last two rides after riding hard for about 20 minutes all of a sudden it will just start sputtering in mid throttle. It does it through all gears and it did it all the way home (about a mile). So I shut it off, let it cool and checked the plugs. They look almost perfect (I know its not the best way to tell) but I mean they werent wet and fouled all black like they used to be when I ran rich. So I put them back in and it started fine and ran fine. Then the next day I took it out again and after about 20 minutes it did the same thing......and then my clutch cable broke so that was the last trial I could do. I got a new cable tomorrow so I will put it back together soon. But what do you guys think it could be? It doesnt feel like it is going lean, it doesnt backfire and spit like its lean but its not a full blown woooooooo bog either. Its just kinda off and on with no power, but the higher rpms run pretty good. Not perfect but pretty good. oh tors is unplugged and mods are only fmf gold pipes and K&N with no airbox. I am having some electical problem somewhere cause my lights arent getting enough power to light up. thanks for the help, I am jumping back into banshees after a 5 year break and I dont remember much about whats going on.
-
Thanks, but whats the highest we can go on 93? I guess thats my biggest thing right now.
-
Is there a way to tell by opening up the topend if its ok or not? I mean, obviously if there is scrapes or gouges then its no good, but what should the cylinder walls look like? I have never opened up a banshee before. I will get another compression tester and double check everything. thanks
-
Hey guys, I am looking for a stock rear shock pretty cheap! They seem to go for too much to buy one just for a rebuild. Anyone that has one laying around that wants to get rid of it let me know! thanks
-
Hey guys, so I did my first compression test on my 96 and as far as I know there has never been any work done to it. Just pipes and k&N filter. Anyway, hot or cold both cylinders came up right around 100-103. I did it about 5 times each way. That seems like a safe level but I know its on the low side. I borrowed the tester from the local oriellys so I can only hope it was of decent quality, came up the same everytime though. Anyway, noss head on the way and was thinking of the 20cc domes? I did a search but I cant find exactly how much compression they add and what the max compression is for running 93 octane. besides that does it sound like my engine is alright to run for awhile? I really just want to spend money on the suspension at this point.
-
thanks man! that worked perfect. I had plenty of slack in the line.
-
sweet thanks Ill give that a try if there is enough extra.
-
I misplaced the damn thing and I cant seem to find it. Its driving me crazy, but does anyone know the size of tubing so I can get another one? I am gonna keep looking but I want to ride tomorrow. thanks! Terry
