Hey guys, Does anyone know where I can purchase honda style tie rods? I HATE, absolutely HATE the stock yamaha style. RM sells a kit but it is only for stock length arms. I think I could by the ends from them though, it I could find the right length rods somewhere else. What are my options?

My mods are in my profile. But I am very pleased with my setup for trails. It has lots of bottom end and still has plenty of topend to have fun at the dunes or whatever. Pipes, timing and compression are going to be your biggest gains in the bottom end. I run dual carbs and I like them a lot. skid plates and good shocks are key items if you want to make it home from the trails.

flush it with distilled water. It says to on the bottle. I was constantly overheating in slow trails and in the deep dune trails and engine ice saved my weekend. I am going to be getting an oversized rad soon cause I dont think my stocker flows very well.

I have the paul turner high-revs and they are an awesome all around pipe. Lots of bottom but pull nicely through the top. Not a drag pipe though. I also have FMF silencers on mine but they dont match up. They are both female ends I believe, you will just have to make some sort of pipe adapter or just use your clamps to hold them together.

They should be fine. I have been running the 20 version for a awhile and they get the job done. If you are just drag racing I wouldn't want them but for playing around they will do fine. Especially since you are down a tooth already. Just try them out, they arent going to take the fun away from being at the dunes or anything.

Yeah I just went with the 15 dollar walmart lights. I still havent got them mounted up or painted yet but I think they will work just fine. I cant find 35w spots around here though only floods

this is a thread nitrotate started for my pipes when he did them http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;hl=high+temp high temp flat black, they are holding up great too

well those freestyle guys have been using those bikes for awhile. Its just what they use. I dont think they can do that stuff on banshees...lol you arent going to see any old bikes in those anymore, no 12 year old who is into this sport thinks banshees kick ass like we do, unless their dads into them or something. Pro racers only ride fourstrokes.

cool thanks guys, I figure for 15 bucks and 10 for the bulbs I cant really go wrong. Even if they break in a year I dont care, way less expensive than the name brand shit. I think I will give them a try with the 35w bulbs in them.

I was thinking about getting the walmart lights as well since I want to paint them black there is no point in spending bucks on chrome. anyway, how do they wire up? Can I use the old plug off of my stock lights so that they can still be taken off easily? I assume they are DC lights but isnt our stator AC? What all has to be done? thanks

Dude, just use ATF Type F in your tranny. It is dirt cheap and works awesome. You can get it anywhere, walmart etc. if not that then use a really nice oil like the belrays gear saver, but not regular motor oil you put in your car.

I thought I gave you comment in this thread, or maybe I just gave you a rating or something. Anyway, Tate did my pipes in high temp flat black and they turned out awesome! Great price, fast turn around and they are holding up awesome! I will be sending him other stuff soon!

what brand was it? I think they are made differently with different companies.

I have those shocks with jansen arms and they are VERY close to touching. Try adjusting the shock by compressing the spring and see if they start to clear. My right side was touching but its because my front arm mounts were bent from a wreck awhile back. I bent them back and it just barely clears.

yeah I thought it might be the the floats but wasnt sure. I dont understand why it would do it right on startup??? I am positive the pickup gap is right cause I just did all that not too long ago and it has been running great. I have new plug caps on too, something I could check though. thanks for the help!

ok, so today was my first real day of riding since I put the 28 pwk's on and it went pretty well. I was definitely running a little bit rich on the main side cause it was breaking up some up top. When I did my last plug chop it was around 45 out but it reached up to about 70 today. The pilots are a little fat too, but it is still somewhat snappy off idle. It still ran great all day and I was doing some very technical and slow tight trails. My only problem really was when I would go back to camp and the bike would sit for 20 or 30 minutes. When I would go to start it the right side plug would always foul instantly. I started it like normal WITHOUT the choke and it would only run on the left side. When I pull the right plug it is completely soaked, like not a chance it is running. I would throw another plug in and it would run fine. What causes this? Is it a float adjustment? I havent had a chance to take the bowls off and look in there but I dont know what could have changed? thanks guys for any info cause I am new to these carbs!!!! Terry
