  1. yea, i do have a clutch cover i will coat for ya.. just gotta figure out what color.. it doesn't have a pump or anything in it.. but it will make a nice cover for someone to put on their shee.. once i figure out what color, i'll get'r done and post pics..
  2. lol.. tricky wording their t shee. lmao.. are you the guy that writes up the fine print for insurance companies?? lol.. just kiddin.. samples may work.. i would rather have a finished product to give someone.. the chrome and silver metallic are some pretty versatile colors.. any other ideas?? black would look good, but would also just look stock... a silver metallic with clear would look nice..
  3. bump for a good guy.. here is a actual picture of his engine cases.. i powdercoated them black not very long ago.. i remember these cases, they were the cleanest i ever seen.. almost like they just came from yamaha.. here is an actual picture of the cases..
  4. so lets get back on subject.. what color to put on the clutch cover.. come on guys.. u gotta let me know dammitt!!! lmao
  5. i'll 2nd the sittin around the campfire downin some cold brewskys.. jack and coke is my drink of choice.. looks like i found a drinkin buddy.. lol.
  6. you can have every other dog cut off of the gears.. ask spurdy on here, he can get it done for you.. its suppose to shift a LOT easier than stock.. i have a tranny up at the local machine shop getting this treatment, the guy needed some parts i had, so he is cutting the tranny as trade for the parts.. dam i love to barter..
  7. i personaly think chrome with a clear would be a good choice.. it looks more like its polished. chrome powder looks just like chrome, but you HAVE to clear it, or it loks like doo-doo very fast.. the clear knocks the chrome shine down a bit, looking like a polished part. thats just my opinion.
  8. HMMM??? i am just wondering what i have laying around i could powdercoat.. hmm.?? i can make shitty parts that most would throw away, look like gems.. i do have a clutch cover i can powdercoat.. lets take a vote guys, what color to powdercoat it??? the majority wins, since one of us will more than likely get it. lol. so what color on a stock clutch cover?? chrome with a clear?? high gloss black?? blue? reds?? green? yellow? silver metallic? white? green? so lets vote..
  9. word!!! it sounds like a good idea, but it does choke down the transfers.. the motor wants to breath more with the bigger bore, and at the same time the transfers are smaller creating less flow than stock.. a good set of ported (stock sleeve) cylinders will give you a ton of power.. most importantly, get it tuned!!! you would be surprised..
  10. you want me to port them also?? lol.. i did the ones on my blue shee.. lol..
  11. lol.. yep sad but true.. lol.. drinking and riding don't go together.. maybe at the campsite it would be ok.. i've just seen to many people get hurt..
  12. welcome aboard man.. lots of great guys on here with a lot of knowledge.. anything you need done to your banshee, you can find it on this site..
  13. kool.. im bringing 2 5th's, 3 kegs, and a couple party balls.. LOL just kidding.. seriously though, what could i bring??
  14. first off, what type of porting are you looking at getting?? if its a drag port, i would reccomend getting some cub cylinders, they would be ready out of the box, you can get them already setup for 4mm stroke.. for the cost of having stockers resleeved, ported and bored, it would be more cost effective to get a set of cubs if you are looking for a drag style port.. plus you will get more power.. if not a drag port, i would suggest just a set of stock bore cylinders ported for 4mm.. for the money its not worth getting a set of stockers resleeved.. just my .02
  15. need any powdercoat work?? let me know.. i can try to make a good deal for you, and cover return shipping on your parts.. just a thought.. i really like these lights.
  16. dam guys, give me a break.. its tax time for god sakes!!! lol.. i found them for about 120 shipped.. anybody know where else to get them cheaper? and are they a better tire than the zippers?? i hear they are better than the zips
  17. squish is the measurement between the piston and some at TDC.. you want to measure the squish on the outer edge of the piston.. you can use a piece of solder, fish it down through the sparkd plug hole, making it bend over to the edge of the cylinder, get someone to turn the motor over by hand, the piston will flatten the solder out, then measure the thickness of the solder, this measurement will be your squish.. hope that helps.
  18. bump for a clean set of cases.. i should know im the guy that powdercoated them
  19. those look like stock pistons to me.. how much time was on this topend???? sometimes they just go once the piston/cyinder fir gets loose.. its just hard to say.. time for a rebuild..
  20. so the drag track was smooth?? i can't wait to do some dragging.. ordering some 4 snows tomorrow for the cub bike.. gonna see what this little motor can do.
  21. yep.. you need to have the cylinder replated, then throw in some new 68mm pistons.. wala new topend.. cubs are not boreable..
  22. sounds like you may have an air leak... check carb boots, maybe do a leakdown test.. you could have a bad crank seal also..
  23. well loco, i 100% agree with your break-in process.. thats how i do all my motors.. but fuck it!! if you guys wanna break your motors in running them hard, go ahead, its your motor anyway,.. i know that all my motors have lasted a very long time..
  24. yep.. if i leaned my bike down.. i am willing to bet i would get some detonation.. tuning can be tricky, but rewarding when you get it right.. check your squish.. throw more fuel at it.. maybe throw a 340 jet in it, even if its rich, you can work your way down .. +4 timing sounds acceptible for this bike.
  25. sounds great man.. good ideas guys!! so sounds like a day of drag racing to me.. thats a good idea also..
