  1. Everything is stock and i dont want to spend that much yet, whats the cheapest way to fix this. i had the trans apart a month or so ago and the shift forks were like new.
  2. Up high in the revvs it just wont shift I've adjusted the clutch already, and the friction plates and steels are like new i already measuered them. Its an 87 completely stock except FMF pipes.

  4. Its not that hard to pull. it will shift as long as it is reving low. Hot or cold it doesnt matter. The lever moves about that far. and i pulled it out and its in good shape. What kind of oil should i put in it. Last time i put some 10W30 and the clutch plates seem to stick like it was thick tacky oil. And what is safe to use to clean the oil off the clutch disks? The clutch comes out about 2 mm
  5. HELP!! i need this thing back together today!!!
  6. How far is the clutch supposed to move out when i pull the clutch? Ive adjusted it soooo many times and it wont shift at high revs. i have yet to pull out the shift rod under the left carb, i think its gone round from flat.
  7. Well i just need to make time to finish the one we have. Its getting a Kawai ZX9R motor
  8. ROAD TRIP!!!!
  9. And they you hurry up and wait. I filled it up one time and realized i forgot to shake the tank before.
  10. IDK but id drain it and put new in just to be safe.
  11. I dont know a lot about bikes, could you explain more please? And do i need that huge pointless looking PCV system thing?
  12. The motor weighs maybe 60-70 pounds i think, havent had it out of the frame and lifted it. It should help keep the front end down.
  13. Hope the good luck is for surviving it not finishing it, that the easy part. LOL
  14. ZX9R banshee picked it up like this. havent had time to work on it more. Not sure how its going to look finished, need more parts before i can re-do the frame.
  15. Theres supposed to be a slight gap. I dont have the manual on hand, but are they stock reeds?
  16. Thats great. Where do these people come from?
  17. We got a blaster in Arkansas. Is bill of sale enough for most things?
  18. The registration for CA OR NV i dont have titles for the bikes all i have is bills of sale and one was bought in a state the doesnt even have title for atv's. How much is registration, generally?
  19. I found the regulations but am unclear on a few things, stupid newb questions, but are the 2-strokes silencers considered spark arrestors. How many of the rules and regs are inforced? Some say only orange whips, is it true? Living in Las Vegas what the deal with registration anywhere?
  20. Yep EVERYTHING else is stock(for now). Ill se what i can do about the jets. It seems fine, The FMF website says starts with the 260 and the needle in the 3rd position i dont know what its at know. Thanks for your input.
  21. I got the 87 fixed(5th gears was stuck) and i got some FMF gold series pipes, with power core 2 silencers. It has TORS eliminator. Where should i start with jetting, i live in las vegas which is like 2000 feet EDIT: everything else is stock.
  22. Thats awesome, never heard that one before. Now i also am going to end up doing the clutch in a blaster too. I just adjusted the internal part and put freash oil in hopefully that works. I love the internet i got the Clymers for the banshee and blaster in a PDF, also have about 95% of a print copy for the banshee. The 5% missing is the glue from the binding. LOL
  23. Thank you for the help. Ill test it when i get home. I just want to get the tune even, so i dont blow the motor. How long should it take a novice who is VERY mechanically inclined, and a fast learner to get it right? I dont feel like paying someone to do somthing i need to learn to do anyhow.
  24. I have another banshee that bored out to 400 from what i was told. It has T5's and was wondering what the compression i should expect out of it. I need to tune it the right side isnt getting as hot, its quieter, and doesnt smoke as much.
  25. Planned on that, as soon as i get the time. Would it be a good idea to buy new seals and gaskets while i have it apart? I dont trust this guys work.
