  1. The problem with the krylon fusion is if you spill/splash/drip any type of solvent on it like gas it takes away the glossy finish there and looks like crap.
  2. Most people go with the v-force 3's setup
  3. I You cant remove the air box lid because it holds the stock air filter in place but you can take the snorkel off.(should check jetting after that)The cheapest mod you can do with noticeable power gain is an adjustable timing plate set at +4 deg. which is about $35 and $10 for the flywheel puller.
  4. ok thanks, looks like i will get a steel one.
  5. what should i get. if it matters i ride mostly dunes
  6. What is your major? my brother is there in welding engineering
  7. Those both are not stock and that was the question. Stock means stock pipes, air filter, etc.
  8. No question the raptor.
  9. Spend your money on pipes, timing plate, coolhead/milled head, port. thoes are the things you get the most power gain from.
  10. With just the t-5's you probably beat him but instead of the $200 for reeds you should have got it ported for $350 at fast and would be no contest. The timing plate is also a great idea.
  11. Thanks that is exactly what I wanted.
  12. I know that there is suppose to be a 2mm ring after running from 1-6th but can someone post some pictures just so I can actually see what a good spot on plug looks like. Thanks
  13. In the summer I was using a 155 in the main and was just wondering what I should start around for the winter. My mods are listed in my sig. In the summer it was jetted for around 80 F and it is about 20-30 F. I am at 800-1000ft.
  14. I have not looked at the pistons because I have not taken the cylinders off. It has been about 2 years since the last bore and hone and from what i remember the lines were not there.
  15. Here is another picture
  16. So I took the banshee out today and was running it around and it did not seem to want to take gas very well. It seemed like it would take it then sputter then take some more. When it was doing this if felt like it could have been running on one cylinder then two and back and forth. After taking the top end off when I got home it looks like there are vertical lines by the exhaust port. Is this a re-bore or just a hone or new rings or pistons or all of the above? Any input would be great.
  17. With that new picture they do not look as close to my wickeds. The spacers are different, heim joints are different and the welded in bungs are round on the back side of the wickeds.
  18. I painted my stock a-arms probably 2 years back and they held up very well. There was no chips in them. I went over to the automotive sherwin williams and have tried two different paints. The one already had the clear coat mixed in with it which was i believe an acrylic enamel but not sure then i also have done the base coat clear coat which also held up well. They both turned out very well I personally liked the one with no clear coat just because it was half of the work and turned out just as well.
  19. Those look like my wicked arms. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/WICKED-PRODUCTS-A-ARMS-Banshee-SALE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3ca9758e29QQitemZ260541091369QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_500wt_1182
  20. I thought it was 98db because the last time i was up there they were checking sound when we decided to go home so i asked them to check my bike. I made special end caps that mount in my toomey sparkys i believe it was 96db or 97db but without them i would guess i am around 102 to 103. They are starting to check alot more stuff than they used to. Just this past year they pulled over my two cousins and i and they checked the vin numbers on our quads to make sure they were registered. Turns out we are from ohio and two of us had bought our quads in michigan so it showed the previous owners( good thing we remembered there names) they have no record of out of state registrations so they just let us go but i can see how people would go up there with an unregistered quad and have alot of problems.
  21. Like this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310177067081&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2124wt_1165 . I ended up just making something just like this and putting them on some skis I got on ebay for $25. Now I just have to wait till it snows.
  22. I will keep those in mind they all sound great especially the rainbows. Can I see a picture of yours for some inspiration?
  23. I have been wanting to do this for about 3 years now. I have seen a couple videos and it looks like it works well. I was just wondering if anyone else has done it and see if they have any recommendations. This is what I plan on making http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ATV-Tires-to-Precision-Skis-Kit-Blaster-Banshee-660R_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4837fe7049QQitemZ310177067081QQptZMotorsQ5fATVQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_2124wt_1165
  24. BUT i did not have the lid on so 260 seems about right.
  25. I had t-6's at about 700ft and was around a 270-280 so i would start around a 290 or 300 and work your way down. 260 seems kinda lean.
