  1. If they are the PWK"S here is the link for the od of the intake. Note: 33mm and 35mm have the same od. http://www.keihin-us.com/am/products/pwk.php
  2. That was my plan but i figured i would ask here first. Thanks
  3. As far as the kids go they do check and they are kinda strict if you do not have the safe riders course. I have a 14 year old cousin and he does not have one we just ride the quad out for him and he gets on it out there. Never had any problems once you are out on the dunes they just ask as you are going in. As far as a stock jeep liberty goes it will do fine. You can go to most of the dunes without having to go over any hills. With that said a liberty could probably climb most of the hills there if not all. During the week they do seem to be more relaxed. There are way less dnr there during the week but i think you would may still have a problem not having the safe rider course. There may even be a minimum age of 12 if you have the safe rider license but i am not sure on that.
  4. I am looking at getting new handlebars from rockymountain and i like the pro taper contours but i cant figure out what bend i want. I would like the new bars to be wider than stock with less pull back and about the same height or a little shorter. With these bars you need to get the riser adapter that is 3/4" tall but is that already included in the measurements for the bars? The reason i ask is because it says "The universal bars compensate for ¾" rise of universal clamp kits". What does that mean? I was looking at the YZ high bend but the height is only 3.31" Please help. thanks
  5. Do you have stock carbs? and what kind of riding? When i had my stock carbs on the dunes a tank seemed to last about as long as the 4 strokes i was riding with or longer which was a couple hours. probably about 50 miles. but on the trails going slow i could only go about half as far as they could.
  6. A pint per five gallons is still 40 to 1 which is what a lot of people run including myself.
  7. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/elecfaq.html #14
  8. I thought there use to be a link to the technical docs. It has a nice write up on the electrical system with a bunch of Q & A's
  9. I do not believe there is a rev limit. Only on the parking brake.
  10. The stickers you will need you can buy there. They require no info for the quad to buy the stickers. For EVERY vehicle going into the parking lot you need to buy a state park sticker (daily $8 seasonal ~$28). Then for every vehicle going out on the dunes you need to buy an ORV sticker $16.25 (Seasonal). You will need a spark arrestor and they check every quad. You will need a flag which the shops right next door sells them. (Duneland ~$20) As far as noise goes the law says 94db they will let you in at 98db. They do not check all of the time and they will not always pick the loudest out of a group. We had a group of 8 of us and they picked out the stock banshee to check sound on. Not sure why. What we do is when you want to get on the dunes if they are checking sound just wait till they are checking someone else and get in line. They will not pull two people over at once. The last little note I would like to make is don't speed on the entrance ramp and on the exit make sure you stop at the stop sign, they have been giving out tickets. Just curious when do you plan on going?
  11. What bend are pictured above?
  12. I am not technically from michigan but live only a mile from the line in toledo, oh, but michigan is where we do all of our riding. Almost no places to ride in ohio.
  13. I agree I bet it is your pressure plates. It happened to me, the clutch seemed to be slipping so I got a new clutch with hd springs. They were 100% stiffer than stock. I could barely pull in the lever and it still slipped. I checked the pressure plates for signs of wear did not seem to have any but I did replace them and it was instantly fixed. I am assuming they must have been warped. I got them from jeff at fast it was like $54 for both of them.
  14. Well I thin i am going to go with the +3's i should order them tomarrow. Thanks for all of the input.
  15. Do you like them? would you want to go any narrower? I think i am leaning toward the +3's because i just dont want to get some and not be wide enough.
  16. Also what kind of axle would i need to match +3's. I was planning on getting a G-force or what ever it is called. Would this be wide enough or would I need to get some kind of offset rear wheels to make up the extra inch.
  17. anyone got any pictures.
  18. I am going to be ordering some wicked a arms and i cant decide if i want to get +2 or +3. I ride Probably 90% dunes and 10% wide trails. I would just like some input on maybe what you have or like better. Pros or cons. I would also like to see some pictures of front ends with +2 or +3 if someone would not mind posting. It would be a lot of help. Thanks
  19. The wickeds are the standard travel so it looks like i will just get them and see how they work. I am not worried about them being soft because I only weigh 135lbs. I have the yfz450 shocks on my stock arms now with everything set to the softest and they are still a little to stiff.
  20. I run clamp on K&N's and honestly don't have any problems when we run on wet trails. Not much splashes under the seat where the filters are. Even water skimming I have never had a problem.
  21. First off what kind of riding will you be doing? Dune, Trail? Second off 20cc domes may still be to much for regular gas for a cool head. Timing is a very cheap mod. Cast plate is around $40 and depending on what you want to spend porting will be a very significant increase.
  22. I would say no not in 1000 feet and maybe not even at all. I have 14 41 gearing and 22"tires and on asphalt i had a gps on me at 90mph. I did this on a road which was between 1/4 and 1/2 mile. (guessing)
  23. Check you air filter, when it wont come on to power it alot of times means it cant get enough air. See if it is wet (check the bottom of it).
  24. One stroke does not equal one cycle. Just saying
