  1. Just saw this and realize its a couple weeks old but 150 main is small for gas 39mm keihins. Thats approximate size for 35mm keihins. Since you said dgh needle , then they very well may be 39s but usually 39s are in the 165 to 175 mainjet size, CEL, 48 pilot as dgh needles are somewhat rich in some spots on many bikes.
  2. You touted Passion as the greatest not that long ago dint ya Jmadd?.. Lol
  3. There is nothing good about the BLM and their seizures of property. You would much rather have state control then BLM. The BLM is one of the worst ran organizations that I can think of. Especially the stuff they have done recently with ranchers in Nevada, Idaho and everything from shooting cattle, arson and all committed by the blm. Its beyond nuts of you look into it.
  4. There is absolutely nothing wrong with soldered pilots nor having a pj all the way closed. That is close to how I have set up 34pjs in the past on 350s. If it will at least give you a good hard launch after cleaning it out once or twice then its fine. You dont mention what pipes but most 350s wont run well with as much timing as what a cub would like and wont need a ton of fuel. You will find that it makes quite a power difference when it is leaned down and probably is faster on the 2nd, 3rd or more pas than the first. If its got cpis or shearers try 5 to 7 degrees of timing and lean the PJ down till the plugs at least get dry or burn the base plating up to 1/2 way around. 350s with 34pjs can run well and usually wont improve a ton with a bigger carb. Maybe 2 to 3hp. I like that setup and find it very easy to tune.
  5. The best advice you are being given is to never ever buy, trade or blow someone for that piece of horrendous crap. It is junk and worth scrap price for the steel and aluminum. Probably $70. If you want it tho get it and enjoy lookin at it cuz its not rideable nor will it be without spending over $1000 on it.
  6. That would be where your slight leak is coming from. Since you have it apart seal it, otherwise 6 lbs held for even a minute is a passing leakdown test to me. It wont effect your jetting or motor enough to worry about at all. You can even just yamabond the back of the washer and nut and call it good without taking the gear/basket etc off. It will be fine.
  7. I have some 20x about 3.5" triple buffs on nice polished blue labels this set is lighter than crap. Hold air forever, super nice shape. $225 shipped. Can text pics if you want.
  8. Either with or without tank. If you wanna PM me I will see it in notifications.
  9. Big bowls for either gas or alky should be fine. I dont mind a pump but lectrons have been a pain to not overflow and leak with a pump due to the float design.
  10. Jmadd is on the money. You are geared pretty high with a 75" tire. With normal 72/73" 12 to 14 paddles you would be the same rear he recommended 43 or 44 and 15 front. With the bigger tires you want the 14 front for sure and a 43 to 46 rear.
  11. As said on here good domes for your setup makes or breaks your motor. It can detonate and kill it or stay cool and run for years. Domes are NOT something you should try to save $10 and buy on ebay.
  12. Yeah. 4 different My bad. Probably had an alky set with tighter squish and a gas set with looser squish and mixed and matched a spare after messin one up. I run the same compression but tighter squish and a bit different dome on alky.
  13. CC , angle, and "step" or lip at the outer edge of the squishband in thousandths. They may have damaged a dome at one time and used another good dome in a pinch. 2 thousandths isnt a huge deal really if squish isnt on the tight side. Check squish for sure and you may find that the squish is off by 2 thous or they may be the same. I have seen numerous sets of brand new domes out of the box that the step was 1 or 2 thousandths different.
  14. Replace the key switch or just put a tether on it and shorten up the harness.
  15. 29L rod is the standard yamaha rod so its probably a stock crank. We just always say to stay away from the athena kits is that many members had the plating peel off very quickly and for the little bit of extra money you can get a serval which is usually known as a better power producer as well.
  16. There are a very few shops buying wang type import webs which are good pinned webs and assembling the crank with good bearings and hotrods rods. Those may be decent but if you are building a high hp motor I would try to find a good reputable proven crank supplier and stay away from ebay. You can get a stock crank or any crank turned into a 10 mil by crankworks for the price of an unproven crank.
  17. You are being told something other than the truth IMO. That plug is burned off from being lean .VERY LEAN. I have burned em off at the track or dunes from running bowls dry. It very well may not be the shops fault if you have a clogged carb jet, ran out of fuel while running hard in a higher year, clogged or pinched fuel line or other fuel delivery problem. Could even be jetting related or blown crank seal or something else. Or it could have been the fault of the engine assembler. That is up to you to find out and between you and him. That doesnt happen from chopping the throttle.
  18. Just set the float level lower until it stops overflowing. On gas unless you are going to run 1/8th mile it should still be good with a dual pingle and good fuel line. I have had no problem with upps and floats set lower.
  19. Dude 1/2 a lb in 6 mins is nothing. Ride it.
  20. Woulda liked to check it out but I dont like apps that want 24 hour a day permissions for my phones contacts, microphone, photos, media files, contacts and basically anything on my phone. What is the channel? Radio type show, forum, chatbox? Would be cool.
  21. 165 doesnt seem all that big to me with 39 pwks. Pipe heat and coloring can be from being rich or lean. Too rich can send some unburned fuel into the pipe. On a gas bike it is unlikely because you said it runs good and it should run like poo if it were rich.
  22. Not to get too technical but those domes do not sound like they would work well. .044 at the outer edge is fine but squish shouldnt change that much. Jeff at Fast or Cam at redline and the $70 or whatever will be money well spent and great to just start over with the domes. In my opinionn good domes are more important than porting on small cubs. They can make 15hp difference at times on a 421 honestly. There is tons of poor performing domes sold.
