You need to beat the game to get all the performance hop ups. There are no cheats. once you get the hopups, go online and race. Online is where its at. Unless the game is just to hard for you?

I play PURE on PS3 almost every night after work. I have a feeling the xbox online/ps3 online don't mingle? I made it up to #24 in race ranking, but have dropped down to 44 since january. I think my over all ranking is 188 or so. When your ranking gets up that high, it won't let you race, so you have to leave it sit in the "lobby" for a really long time. Even then, you only race one or two guys at a time and it is lame. I created a new screen name "Banshee1970" and only race D or C quad so I don't get ranked too high. I still win a lot even with C and D quads. PURE is lame by itself, but online it is very fun. There are still a lot of people playing PURE. It suits me fine until someone makes something better. They definitely need to release a track expansion pack or something though.

http://blog.wired.com/gadgets/2009/02/honeywell-prepa.html I will have to install it on the back wall of my garage and sit outside to watch it but, I think it would be worth it.

How about this theory: Honda/Yamaha lobbies for new law to restrict lead in atv's because the cheepo china garbage atvs are full of lead (have way more than a jap unit) Law gets passed but is too broad and encompasses even the quality products. Eco nazi's find the stipulation and use it to their advantage to block all ATV sales to kids. This has nothing to do with lead and everything to do with banning our right to ride. Eco nazis could care less about the children. In fact, I am certain the econazis are all for the end of the human race (except for those in favor of saving mother earth) It is really too bad that the eco nazis don't understand that all of this (the entire universe) is going to cease to exist someday. By no fault of man. We (humans) ARE Noah and we have to get off this god-forsake rock asap. If that involves making the average joe happy so he has a will to keep living, reciprocating the economy, so the rocket scientists can gain enough tax money to get us us the hell out of here before it is too late, more power to 'em!!!

How many inches of Ice is safe?

2-3 is fine as long as there are no thin spots and you have some "friends" with (make sure they are good friends). I was riding on the lake a couple years back, and the main hub nut came off the end of the axle. I was near some muskrat vents and my right rear wheel fell off, and I thought I was going down. I just about wet myself. -
PURE is worth buying, just don't pay list price for it. If you can, get it for $30. (amazon recently had it on sale for 27.99) The game plays better than Motostorm, but not as well as the old ATV off road games did. Pure is more "arcade", not "simulator". Pure is kinda for little kids, but still fun. For example, you huck it off a gnarly launch completely sideways, headed directly for a 1000 foot cliff, but the computer guides you onto the trail (usually) before you go flying off into oblivion. GranTurismo is going to prolly be $60 so, no not worth it compared to PURE.

Thumpertalk is decent. I have a 2003 WR250F that I dualsported.

storing the shee for the winter

Up north, it is called "NUMBER 1" AND "NUMBER 2" fuel oil. Number one fuel oil will not gel, unless it get like -60 F or worse. I have an outdoor fuel tank and we put #1 in it. It has never gelled. Fog with stabil fogger. I still wouldn't put fuel oil in the carbs. Just drain them (although stock carbs might be more difficult to drain completely) , pull the choke and kick the motor over a few times to purge the rich circuit. Fill the tank with gas so it is brimming and put some stabil in it. -
Why is there a lock on that squirrel gun, but not on the snub? guns =

I got a PS3 and PURE last Thursday. Man it is fun, but way too easy. I got the game last thursday, and beat it by Sunday. (probably about 8 hours of playing it... no cheats) You get fullbore banshee plastics, Roll Design arms and all kinds of good shocks by the end. Playing on line is wicked fun too. My PS3 online user is "wytevette"

I put a pull cord starter on my Banshee, so an electric start should definitely be do-able. J/K

Boost bottles will help, but not in "stock" form. What you will want to go ahead and do, is drill some one inch holes in either end of it. Then, get some 1 inch poly tubing. JB weld one end of the tubing to the the hole you made in the boost bottle, then thread the other end up to the front of the machine. Get two large funnels Attach the funnel to the tubing, with the wide opening facing forward. Zip tie it to the front of the quad somehere, preferably the front bumper... Wherever you think you will get the most air flow. Repeat on the other side. This will be an effective "Ram Air" system and should dramatically increase your HP. Make sure you re-jet to compensate for the increased air flow other wise you will melt down your pistons very quickly. Once you get it going this way, you can experiment and fab up a custom aluminum air scoop to replace the funnels. Fine print: The above mod is a joke, don't really do it.

Ye gads. Looks like somebody modeled their real quad after ATV Off Road Fury video game. Not the good ones either, the shitty ones after Rainbow studios lost the gig. YUK

if anyone wants a brand new in the box banshee...
PhilMoore replied to official_style's topic in General Banshee Discussion
If you are paying to have your chain adjusted, you better just sell the quad right now and buy a PS3 and some atv games. Forget real riding. Sorry man. :ermm: -
That is a good "Deal" however, I personally hate Durablue and will never buy any of their products again. Just my .02

It works, and hasn't crashed (except when I forced it to). Meaning I was able to intentionally crash it but it hasn't crashed from visiting any websites. One thing I don't like, is after Google Chrome is running for a while, my hard drive starts working overtime; it really grinds away. Especially if I open more tabs...

I bought mine new in 2001. The only stock thing I've had to "fix" is the round rubber bumper that goes in the bottom of the seat. (it fell out and got lost) I had to fix a bent ball joint (Burgard's A-Arms) I had to replace some rubber O-rings that go in the mounting joints of my elka shocks. They just deteriorated and fell out. Kinda lame. Other than that it is cherry. Still running on stock pistons and rings. Ummm. My situation might not be very comparable to you because I have actually ridden the quad about the same number of times as my post count on this forum.

Chain will tighten and loosen on its own?
PhilMoore replied to Keyser Soze's topic in General Banshee Discussion
A stretched chain will ruin your sprockets. Ruined sprockets will damage the chain.
