Nice one. I got one thursday, it was just baby though, no horns. F*$ thing did a matrix type ninja star flip off the front bumper of my wifes car. Luckily, when it ran from the ditch to the pavement, it slipped and fell down low, so it hit the bumper. It just made a small dent and got shit all over.

The 400EX is built like a tank, and will last and last.

That was the best. Somewhat disturbing images I wish I could un-see though.

I don't think you need to be leary of getting the first one out. I got my PS2 the day they were released (by accident). It is still going strong. I have never had a problem with it. When PS2 came out, there was a line at Walmart from the electronics department clear to the garden section. When I saw that, I left. The next morning, my wife went to Target, and they had a whole pallet full of them. She just picked one up and bought it for me. There wasn't even a line, they were just sitting there. I bet there won't even be a line for PS3 except maybe at a "release event" or some bogus promo rally. I can't beleive they are releasing Ridge Racer again. I won't fall for that shit this time! Too bad the only game (motorstorm) I am remotely interested in isn't even being released when the console is.

kicking it over with nerf bars
PhilMoore replied to shee likes when i go down's topic in General Banshee Discussion
It should start on half a kick. You should never hit the stop anyway. If you have to kick it to the stop to get it started, get it fixed so it starts right. -
You can look... But look away quickly. I had a hard time taking my eyes off it.

The first half of the song I thought he was saying white and dirty. I though whoa, there is gonna be some shit. (PC Nazi's etc..) Then I realized he was saying White and Nerdy! ha ha Champion of D&D. That was funny. I still HATE rap music, except for beastie boys and some Beck songs.

87' motors the fastest produced?
PhilMoore replied to ToomeySheeLE's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Everyone thinks the '87's are faster because it was the first year and nobody could believe Yamaha would produce a quad that was so fuckin awesome! The power difference might be something as simple as a degree on the stator plate, or a thinner head gasket? -
Does anybody know where to get a +2 inch clutch cable without having it custom made? Does any manufacturer offer a "in stock" +2 inches clutch cable? If so, the name of the company, and the part number would be much appreciated! I sent an email to Motion Pro, but have not heard back yet. Thanks, Phil

well here is the new quad from ktm/polaris merge

Wow is that thing uuuuuggggglllllyyyyy. :shiver: -
My Banshee is an 01 and it is still on its original pistons and rings. It doesn't get ridden alot, but when it does I wind the piss out of it. If you are mechanically inclined, and have a "GOOD" set of tools (including a torque wrench), get a used one, but take someone with experience when you go looking. If you hate mechanical work, I would steer clear of used stuff. (especially if you have to take it in for repair, they smell you coming!) Of course a new one could break the day after you get it home, but it is highly unlikely. The first jump I took with my Banshee almost killed me because the dealer didn't tighten the handle bar clamps. BTW I find it amusing that [email protected] would admit to owning a Warrior. :baseball_wassat:

Arms. If you have stock rear wheels, you can flip them (valve stem toward the hub) around and get a couple inches wider in back.

A couple years ago, a kid had a 250R over at my neighbors track. I had my 400EX and we did several drag races I smoked him every time. We traded quads and the 400EX won again. Everyone was saying "whoa you gotta check the jetting!" There is something wrong! I told him to pop the fender off and we took a look at the airbox. The air filter had never been cleaned! He said he got the quad several months before, and didn't know you had to clean the air filter. It had grass, mud, dirt, seeds, and some kind of hair all over it! 250R's are fast. It's too bad the first one you rode wasn't feeling good that day. You shouldn't generalize like that.

What is the difference in between that link and the posers with the titties in their sig on this site?

Little Sahara, Oklahoma is by Waynoka. You should be able to make it there from the twin cities in a long day of driving. I am from Grand Rapids, so it takes us about a day and a half. It is a very nice dune riding area, but a little small (about 1200 acres) . It is different because there are trees in the dunes, so it makes it pretty fun. St. Anthony is in Idaho. It is just past Yellowstone, by Rexburg, Idaho. It is a huge place and it will take days to explore it all. We have stayed at the Sand Hills Resort, and the Desert Oasis campground. Desert Oasis is a little closer to the huge dunes, so I prefer it. When I say huge dunes, I mean HUGE dunes. They are some of the biggest, and definately some of the steepest I have been on. Both places are about the same distance, but Idaho is just awesome. If you go, put filter skins and paddles on... The nazi's have pretty much shut us down for riding up here. Calumet used to be an awesome riding spot, but I heard they have been ticketing people. I haven't been out there for a year. I haven't been to Gilbert yet. There are thousands of trails between Grand Rapids and Hibbing, but with all the citiots buying land and posting it, we can't go anywhere anymore. I heard Aitkin county is trying to build a riding area similar to Gilbert's. Hopefully they won't build it in a peat bog...

The difference between a 'Vette and a Camaro is when you are driving a 'Vette, people will either flip you off or wave, or give the thumbs up- You get some kind of acknowledgement. When you are in a camaro, the only people that give you the thumbs up are the guys with mullets- and only if the Camaro has some endearing quality, such as big tires or a hoodscoop. I had a '78 T-Top Black Trans-Am with a SD454 (not the original motor). Man that car was the shit. It had air shocks, fat tires, mag wheels. Alas, I met my wife, cut off my mullet, and the only hot rod I have is my Banshee. The Vette is my wifes. I don't drive it by myself because I look pretty bad in a leisure suit.

Yes, they are great. But if she is inexperienced, she might get frustrated by the kickstart and the manual shift. For technical riding, the combination can cause immense frustration. If you don't have the patience to stop, and go back and help her when she stalls it and can't get it started again... And, she gets pissed or discouraged really easily. She might be happier with a Raptor 350 or something like that with electric start and reverse.

You can't win! Trust me! My wife and I bought a '73 about 8 years ago. We fixed it up and repainted it. She would drive it to work once in a while. The first "incident' was in the parking lot at her office. One of the other employees parked next to her with the company suburban. When the suburban backed out, the driver swung wide before she was out of the parking space and busted a hole in the drivers side rear quater with the front bumper of the suburban. The next one was on a one way street. My wife was backing out of a parking spot, and some guy in a car was going the wrong way and busted a hole in almost the same spot as the previous one. The third one she was parked across the street from the post office. She comes out of of the post office just as an old Ford pickup was backing all the way across the street and punched a huge hole in the drivers side front quarter. Right in front of the door. All she could do is just watch it happen. She screamed FUUUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKk!!!!! The whole time, but the guy didn't stop 'till he hit the 'Vette. It sits in the shed now, but we recently had new exhaust, tires, and a Edelbrock carb installed. I also have the rear half of a VB suspension kit installed. It needs a transmission rebuild, complete brake system rebuild, complete interior, and weather stripping. Can't drive it in the rain because the T-Tops and doors leak like a sieve. Any other car would be sent to the auto salvage. Basically it is a bigger money pit than the most ratted out 250R or Banshee could ever be... Good luck with your project. They are a lot of fun because people look at them no matter how clapped out they are. A lot of people see a 'vette and wave or give the thumbs up.

if i get +2 a-arms. do i need to get a +2 axle ?
PhilMoore replied to trialsallday's topic in General Banshee Discussion
The Hipers should have the offset opposite of stock. Unless, you specified stock offset. That should widen the rear by 2 or more inches. My own personal experience with Durablue has not been good. On my 400EX, I broke an X-33, twisted an Eliminator(A 400EX just has WAY too much power), and now I am back to the original stock axle, which is as true as the day it came from the factory. Lately, I race local Harescrambles with it, so I want it narrow. I have a Lonestar axle on my Banshee and it is holding up well, except for some minor pitting of the chrome finish. If ride your quad at all, I don't recommend Durablue. Spacers on a Banshee should be fine. It does add extra stress, but so does flipping the rims. -

PhilMoore replied to trialsallday's topic in General Banshee Discussion
You don't need the axle. Just flip the rear wheels (valvestem goes toward sprocket) and the rear will be wider to match the front. -

Having a similar problem here with Server 2003. I removed and reinstalled the Front Page extensions on the server and it helped. I am having trouble with form data through SMTP though.
