My 01 Banshee has stock pistons, stock porting, 19cc coolhead, +4 timing, 15t front sprocket and stock tires. I can do a 90 foot tabletop pinned in 4th gear. I also have Elka shocks and +2 arms. I am not sure I would try that big of a jump with a bone stock Banshee though.

The Car Quest part number is ES419R It says "Moog" on it.

Oh, and I can get you the CarQuest part number off my new one when I get home if that helps. You don't have to get them online, your local car parts store probably has them (mine did)

I have Burgards home-made crappy arms and I am literally taking them in to the machine shop today to have them fitted with the RickyStator ball joints. I am also having them fitted with stock banshee bushings and sleeves. Note, these arms with the VW ball joints require the stock banshee spindle be reamed out for the stud to fit. This destroys the stock spindle. That said, I have four straight used ball joints and one brand new one in the box, plus used bushings and sleeves. I don't think your Arms are Burgards but the parts might work. If you can send me a $10 check to cover shipping, I will UPS them to you. Send me a PM and I will give you my address there. I was going to wait until I get my arms back and working then list the parts with pictures in the for sale section. So, I don't have a picture at this moment. Phil

I have been using Yamalube 2s in my 2001 Banshee since it was new. I am still running the original pistons and rings. I don't ride it much though. I might average 10 gallons of gas a year.

I have a Graydon 2 into 1 carb manifold, aluminum airbox and K&N filter. I can't remember the size of the carb that came with it. It works awesome, and I would not go back to two carbs, unless I was a serious drag racer/tuner. The sole reason I got this kit, is I hated messing with jetting (summer/winter and altitude changes for dune trips) on the stock carbs, and I figured if I am replacing them I may as well go with one carb to make it as simple as possible. I am more than happy with my Graydon setup and would not go back to two carbs.

I finally cut my fronts last weekend. I borrowed my dad's "Dremel Multi-Max" cutter and it worked awesome! I got a new half-round blade for it before I started. I used a carpenter hand-planer (Block Plane) to finish the edge and it turned out really well. The rears need to be done too, but I want that lifted look like on the fullbore Banshee in "Pure", but I don't even know where to start.

If you haven't ruined your spindles yet, don't do it! Ricky Stator makes replacement ball joints that fit the stock spindles. You will need to bore and tap out the arms, but that is better than ruining the spindles. Besides those VW ball joints just bend easy anyway. Or, sell those arms and get some that are made right and not cobbled! LoL

LoL! We get sink holes out in the mines around here, but nothing like that. It can be nasty though if you are not expecting it, because there can be a three foot deep hole right in the middle of the trail where it was normal the last time you went through.

I been around a while. It seems like I had to create a new user account for some reason years ago. I got my 2001 shee in september 2001, but I think was on here before that.

Step One: Obtain medical insurance. Start with a table top jump, not a gap jump. Keep the throttle steady, don't blip it and DO NOT LET OFF. Keep loose and relaxed, but don't let go! Don't go for height, don't "preload" Just go for a smooth straight clean jump with only enough air to make the landing. Flat landing = rear wheels first, punch the throttle right before you land, and keep it on. Sloped landing = all four touch at the same time if possible (the front end will be "downward"), also, use throttle right as you land. As you approach the face of the jump, keep a steady speed and just "ride over it". Do not let off the throttle do not wick the throttle. Lean back slightly so you feel your weight pulling back against the handlebars (not too much). Right as you land, give more throttle, but not WFO.

On my 2001 Banshee, I have Elka Dual Rate front and Rear, Lonestar +4 axle, +2 front a-arms. On the motor I have a coolhead with high comp domes and a timing advance plate set to +4, single carb setup and stock pipes. I tried a Dynoport 2into1 but it sucked bad, much worse than stock pipes. I have a bone stock 2006 Honda 450R and it completely dominates the Banshee in every single way, except for the sound and the the way the Banshee lights up the rear tires. On a MX track, MY modified Banshee has not a chance against my bone stock 450R. If you take the best Banshee MX rider and drop them on a 450, they will be a better rider on the 450 (if not, they aren't trying). So, yeah, setting up a Banshee to race MX is a complete waste of money, except you will have a really nice Banshee, which is cool. Not trying to flame the Banshee, because they are awesome. Even Mod for Mod, they are just not better than a 450 for MX.

x2 I own one of these pipes, but put the stock pipes back on because they make more power. The 2into1 pipe is much lighter weight and sounds freaky cool though.

O gawd. You get a 1080 or 720 tv you are gonna be just stunned by the awesomeness. Though most games I have seen are only 720p.

O, Ya, fer sher eh. I first started playing D&D with my grandma (the D&D "basic", red book, pink box) and uncle. Transitioned to AD&D then Second Ed when it came out. I still have all of it, but haven't played seriously for 20 years. Done a few adventures with the nephews, but they are more into video games and the pencil and paper and dice are too foreign to them. I have Resistance2, but haven't tried online yet. I have MSG4, and got my butt kicked severely online.
