  1. You can build your own, and make it work. Or you can call JL Engineering and get one built for you and be alot farther ahead of the game. I've ran -1.5 stock converted and as well as a -1 jansen. I liked the -1 better, but then again I had a giant motor.
  2. If your bolt holes are egged out, your probably screwed and need a new set. DWT makes champion in a box wheels that are tough as nails. Douglas makes champion beadlocks. Also theres also hipers as a choice. I've got a guy that can hook you up on the hipers for 1/2 cost.
  3. Good luck buddy, I'll hang in the pits with ya down at the ls ride.
  4. RIght on! I bow hunt and gun hunt. This year, if I don't get the monster that I've been after, I've seriously considered muzzle loading.
  5. I'll just have to call you and ask you about this. Since I'm running the fox float evol 2s, I'm not sure I understand the sag vs ride hieght or how to achieve both. If I ran 20% sag, my bike would sit 12" off the ground!
  6. I gotta jump in and for once, disagree with ya Jeff! I've had both of your 4mil motors. A 4mil dune port (which was the best stock cylinder setup I've ever owned) as well as the serval you just got done building cory and I. The Serval has more usuable power everywhere and would stomp the 4mil dune port in my honest opinion. My 4mil stock cylinder was built with the exact same parts except I didn't have an override. Don't get me wrong, your 4mil stock cylinder absolutely ripped, but the the 4mil serval you built us, flat out beats it everywhere, bottom, mid and top. Would it be worth the swap? My opinion, if your running EVERYTHING you already need except for the cylinders themselves, then yes. Dont forget that when you build these things, you need every componet to go with it to get the power its capable of. Plus we are running pump gas. If you want to know how we built ours, ask Jeff or pm me. For guys looking for a stock cylinder 4mil, Jeff is your guy. Out of all the stock cylinder motors I've had, that was the hardest running by far.
  7. +1 for cheap whores. Missouri owns Dammit Bob, JD and Shane. That is all.
  8. You can have either of these two. The front one is around 130" deer and the rear one is around 150ish typical. I have seen 10-12 in the 140s to 160s already this year. Only been out scouting once a week for the last month. Bow season starts sept 15th, one of these monsters are going to get jerkied. I've tried to get pics of the real monster that I've been seeing, but every time I see him, I can get my camera to get a good shot. Hes either too far away or its past good camera lighting. (and no, I'm not spotlighting!) I'm going to take my vacation this year during gun season if I don't get him during bow. He will score upwards of 180. Not shittin ya, we nick named him hollywood because this bastard was made for tv.
  9. You have to look very close. There are two in this pic. The front one is looking sort of to the side and the rear dude is walking away. These two are pretty nice, but I have one that I have seen 4 times this year that will go into the boone and crocket. More pics as I capture them!!
  10. Since your basically starting from scratch, You'll need: cylinders pistons 4mil crank, welded as well as new bearings Port match the cases 35 pwks filters billet basket fast clutch pipes billet water impeller Cool head with domes cut for the 4mil and your setup. ie race, pump or alky I'd recomend a lockout and if your going to run a lockout, you'll need a cover unless your run a gigot. Pancake bearing Gaskets and an oring kit We just got done putting together a fast 4mil with all the above mentioned, was well as a duneable 1-5 and it freakin rips. The power curve on this thing is insane. We run the original set of Rockets on it as well. One thing I've learned over the years of fuckin around with these banshees is that you cant short cut anything. If your going to do it, don't half ass it. You'll save money in the long run. Any of the older guys will tell you the same.
  11. 30% of sag on the front? Would that apply to long travel arms and shocks as well?
  12. You asked for opinions, so your going to get them. Take them with a grain of salt and also reconize the fact people are trying to help you in most cases. If you dont agree with the answer, brush it to the side and wait for the next one. First of all, build a 4mil serval and you will be alot happier. No if ands or buts. I've just recently been on one of jeffs 4mil servals and it absolutely rips! With that said, I've also had a 392 cub. I know its not a serval, but comparable. Stock strokes suck. Period and end of story. Especially if your a bigger guy. I'm about the same size as you, just a little heavier. The stock stroke doesn't have the torque that your going to want through the trials, woods, and hills. Ditch your 28s, get some 35 pwks and roll out. Your cool head isn't helping cool your motor. Your inline radiator lines aren't helping cool your motor. Adding some shrouds wouldn't probably hurt anything as I've seen a few dudes run them. I didn't see if you were running a bigger radiator, if you aren't, get one. I also didn't see you list a billet impellar, if your not running one, put it on your list along with a new water pump bearing. Lastly, ditch the goofy ass Raptor plastic and put the stock front banshee plastic back on her like she deserves. Then see if you can modify it to run a pulling type fan if your still over heating. Engine ice should help. You didn't ask about suspension so I won't go into detail. Long story short, Long travel with some Axis, Peps or Elkas all the way around. Also gonna need an Anti vibe stem with some precision vibe bar clamps. A steering stabilizer is one of the best upgrades you can put on your bike aside from shocks. Not a cheap pogo stick style, but a puck style such as precision or Elka. Dont forget bead locks! Tell us how it turns out and post up pics!
  13. I will be in at least two of these contests. King of the pits and highest number on the breathalizer. I only burned 1/2 tank of gas the entire trip last year. I stayed in the pits drinkin from sun up to sun up the entire time. However my main focus is destroying the michigan mexicans again. JD, I'm bringing my 80 brother, its game on. Tyler, you need to go buy a fuckin 80 before the trip.
  14. Send them things to matt for a tune up and make over!
  15. Oh and spurdy, I got a ton of leftover part out shit that little jew kid of yours can have. As long as he fucks with JD and Dammit Bob every morning at 6am sharp!
  16. Tyler, one of the greatest posts you've made! You nailed it. Did anyone find out if they will let us ride the minis on that track that was behind my campsite last year?
  17. Hey I tried my hardest to get sssiicckk tazed when the park rangers showed up the last night. Then he tried to pay them to go get us a pizza. Thought maybe there after a while we weren't going to have to talk them into tazing him, that maybe he was going to earn it on his own! Come to think of it, that entire night was full of chaos! Starting with parting out sicks bike and he almost killing some innocent little kid! Hahaha quickly followed by tyler nearly getting maced by sticking his finger in some chicks jeans hole! Then the night got reallly started with a bomb that spurdy threw in our fire.
  18. Hey JD, Tyson and I plan on bringin our minis. However if we wait for you to blow a .15, you'll be shortly passed out. We can make an exception for the canadian mexicans and let you guys start at .08. That way at least you'll be able to ride for a little bit. We got a little something up our sleeves though. We are gonna take our minis down to RADAR to have hime give them the proper tune up!
  19. Nope. 1 good option, buy new plastic.
  20. I'd look into a set of marvin shaws. It would be cheaper for ya and accomplish the same thing. You'd have to figure out what length of shock you wanted to run first, then call fox and see what they have thats close to that length. Honestly I don't see a benifit buying floats for a drag setup over the shaws. Get the hill shooters and you'd be set for what your trying to accomplish.
  21. 1000-3000 depending on portwork, builder, how fresh, what all comes with it, etc etc. too many factors. Find one you want, post the details and we can help you better.
  22. I love em! I run them on my YFZ450R and they are the tits. If you decide against the floats, go with Elka or Axis. I've ran Ohlins, Elka, Pep and Works on my banshees and the Elkas were deffinately the best. Walsh Long travel arms with Fox Float Evol gen 2 fronts with Fox podium rear with long travel GT Thunder link. 100% better than stock and as you all know the new YFZ450R bikes come from the factory with badass suspension.
