  1. It would be neet to see some billet intakes made specially for the banshee to put some throttle boddies on it. A fuel injected " Shee " would rock !
  2. More Stroke = more leverage = more torque  Long Rod = increased dwell time  = decreased piston side load  The advantage of this is a much broader and smoother powerband  One thing to prioritze if you are going to do the 4 mil stroker is get the cylinders ported for the added displacement of the stroker and the head will also have to be modified. Alot of "extra power" is going to depend on the rest of your combination such as pipes, reeds-intakes, carbs, and jetting. If you are jumping into all this from a stock quad, you will notice a HUGE difference and then if you evetually decide to upgrade cylinders such as RZ, Cheetah, T-Rex, ............ you will already have the stroker crank to compliment those  If you have the funds GO FOR IT !!! Hope this helps
  3. The boost ports allow for greater volume of fuel/air to enter the bottom end on your engines intake cycle. The best person for explaining it more in depth would be Jim from " Passion Racing Engines ". This guy is super knowledgeable !
  4. The stock cover has to be modified. You can do it yourself or have it done, there usually is some "do it yourself lock up kits" on Ebay that include the new center for your stock clutch cover. I am not sure who they are made by though.
  5. Thanks for the explanation, it is greatly appreciated. I was looking at the possibilities of this swap a couple of years ago but never pursued it though. I am not trying to pioneer anything by any means but I am trying to build in my own eyes the "Banshee" that Yamha should be building now, and I am trying to keep it mostly Yamaha production parts ( RZ jugs of course ) minus the Rocket pipes and Passion 12 Port. Would it be possble to regain the factory ride height with this set up by adjusting the sag adjusting nuts on the shock bodies or is there not enough adjustment ? Could you also send me some more pics from top view, side, back, and some up close ? Thanks, Mike
  6. Please Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like to me that the lower shock mounting position on this conversion puts the shocks outward more than the Banshee was designed for, possibly causing too soft a ride and lowering the front ride height. What would happen if you moved the lower mounts in to put the shock angles back to stock, if they are out ?. I would be willing to guess that you would even gain some shock to a-arm clearance. Hey, 2003LimitedBanshee, I would like to purchase one of these conversions from you hopefully sometime this summer. I have to get my RZ top end back from Passion first though.
  7. The reserve is 200.00 also. I don't think that 100.00 a side on a set of proven pipes is asking too much.
  8. When I talked to Toomey they told me that the power characteristics were similar to T-5's and yet they would take them in with an additional 275.00 for T-5 upgrades. If nobody buys them ....oh well, I will just put them back in the basement. They don't owe me anything, maybe put them on a tamer quad in the future.
  9. Item number: 300110240322
  10. I have a buy it now price for $ 200.00 on Ebay right now.
  11. I have a set of Toomey T-3 and silencers on Ebay right now for 200.00. Toomey will take them in on trade for T5's as an upgrade deal. Let me know if you are interested Mike
