700R for me..... I also like the looks of the Suzook 450's. Never ridden one, but I hear they're fast and handle well.
-
If your concerned about water, but wanting plenty of air-flow, you could also consider going with an E.H.S. outerwear lid. I run one on mine and it works great, and looks trick, too.
-
So it is a Banshee that you will attempt to flip, or one of the 450's? I've never seen this done with a Shee before. But either way, be careful because like the other guys are saying you can get very badly hurt with this type of stunt.

That's some clean looking work, I may be giving him a call when I go to have my portwork done.
-
lol I bet that is one mean "cat", opossums are a bit on the tempermental side!

I agree, the age restrictions are ridiculous. I know some 15 year olds that are bigger and taller than your average adults. They wouldn't fit too well on a 90cc quad.

Nice looking Raptor, man. I have one of the '07s. And your right about the gas consumption, it seem's like you can ride forever on a tank! Another thing I like about them is the suspension, they have an ultra smooth ride over really rough terrain. I bought mine to ride trails, and the strong torque of it works awesome in the tight, technical stuff. I've never had the opportunity to ride in the dunes, (though I would love to) I've heard they work well there also.

How am I not acting my age? Who have I insulted? I'm assuming you noticed my reply's up until your rude statement, now your saying I'm not acting my age for being angry about being called a name? (not to mention everyone else who owns or has owned a four-stroke) I wouldn't have taken as much offense to it if I hadn't just been posting about my four-stroke just prior to your comment.

Read the thread...... apparently your not only offending me but quite a few. Act your age.

A buddy I used to hang out with had a new mustang GT, man that was his pride and joy! NOBODY drove it but him! He finally trusted his GF enough to let her drive it to work a few times. She was at work and one of her coworkers/friends had some type of important errand to run, and asked to borrow it for a few minutes. The GF let her take it without asking him. The friend was coming up the on-ramp to US 27 and it was raining. There was a semi coming, and she decided to floor it to beat the semi. What happens when you floor a mustang GT on a wet road when turning on a curve? Well the stang spun out of control, the semi hit one side and pushed it all the way down the gaurdrail destroying both sides of the car! She was alright, but when my buddy got the call from his GF saying his baby was totalled, you would have thought that he had been in a major accident! Sorry about the novel, but seeing this topic caused me to remember that!

The quads looking good, man! Might have been alot of money, but money well spent! I agree with inthemail also, that bumper really sets it off nice.

The image didn't go through. What colors did you decide to go with?
-
HAHA,Man..... just when I thought I'd seen it all, along comes this thread! lol, That is some far-out stuff. I've got a couple tats, but nothing quite like those!
-
With dog's like that, you guys don't need burglar alarms! My wife used to work part-time at a kennel near our home. They had great danes that also had some size to them.
-
Nice stuff, man. Looks like you've got some money in that.... I bet you were just a' listening for the horn on that U.P.S. truck!
-
Did you decide to trade? If you do, let us know what you think of your first ride on a two-stroke twin!

Banshee lighting & cooling upgrades.
jamebo replied to chevyeatr's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I found it, it is banshee cooling solutions, they say it works off a stock stator and keeps it 20 degrees cooler. Kind of a strange looking setup, don't know how well it would work. -
Banshee lighting & cooling upgrades.
jamebo replied to chevyeatr's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I remember seeing a small add in one of my Quad magazines awhile back, had a picture of a Banshee with a fan on the front of the radiator. They were advertising it as a kit, if I remember right. I just looked through a couple of them but couldn't find it, I have a large assortment of different mags and it would probably take quite awhile to find it. (needle in the haystack) It seems like it was called Banshee cooling solutions, or something like that. You may be able to google it and get some ideas about a fan, or buy it if interested. I didn't really check it out too much at the time because it looked strange with the fan in front of the shroud. -
I haven't actually measured the front end, but my owners manual says the overall width is 43.3 in.

Your right about that, it always was, and still is the gold standard which all other quads have to compete against. I guess that's why the guys on these newer quads feel they have something to prove against a guy on a Banshee. Ever look up Banshee on wikipedia? The part about champion of all four-wheelers would probably tick off alot of guys! Yamaha Banshee is a two-stroke, twin 350 all-terrain vehicle manufactured in Japan and sold in the U.S. from 1987 to 2006. Due to U.S. EPA emission restrictions, the Banshee is no longer sold at U.S. dealers but are still being sold in Canada as a 2007 model and a 2008. It is unknown if there will be a 2009 follow-up. It is likely however for Canadians. ($8,049 CAN MSRP). Its water cooled engine is a non power valve version of the power plant used in Yamaha's RD/RZ350 street bike with transmission gear ratios adjusted for ATV use. Differences between model years are minor, including color combinations, upper j-arms on early models (1987 to 1990) followed by a-arms on subsequent models, the addition of a brake light in late production machines (2002 and on), and minor differences in electrical connector styles. The Banshee has had the longest production run of any ATV. Despite the government emission restrictions and subsequent discontinuation of sales in the United States, the Banshee continues to be the undisputed champion, especially in sand dunes, of all four-wheelers, maintaining a devout following of riders that enjoy a thrill not found with any other ATV in production.

Yeah, I know the bumpers your talking about, and I agree. I just started learning about their products since the shifter, and I think I'm going to check on what they have in exhaust clamps. I'm still using the stock, rubber hose type pieces on my fatty's. I know I'm really looking forward to getting the shifter. It's going to take some time, but eventually I will have my Shee fixed up pretty good. I'm finding all kinds of stuff I want for it, only problem is the money! lol ( I guess like they say, welcome to the sickness! )

That is one sharp looking shifter, ClimbAnyHill. That's cool the way it's drilled out, too. That sounds like a really good deal on a chromed shifter dajogejr, and I appreciate it, but I'm already in the process of getting an RIS.
-
I think I'll go ahead and order one then, sounds like it will be a good purchase. I've been wanting a billet shifter for awhile now, and I like this one the best out of all the ones I've seen so far. Just wanted to make sure it was a good product, thanks for the replys, guys.

Found a shifter at Rocky Mountain atv that looks really sweet, an I.R.S. Designs aluminum shifting petal. The price is good at around 68 bucks, and I was wondering if anyone else is using one and if so what they think about them. I was going to go with a Pro-design, but like the looks of this one better. I've never used an aluminum shifter before, do they hold up as good as steel ones? Just wanted a little info on them if possible before I start trying to manage the money around for it.
